My pre-surgical consult with Dr. Stephanie Koonce, was my 2nd consult out of 2 different doctors. She was extremely thorough (which I appreciate), very professional, and she explains the good, bad, and ugly that the other surgeon did not discuss with me. I appreciate her for being very real and upfront about everything involved with surgery. She even had statistics and percentages about different post-op complications for those surgeries across the country and her own to compare (which is MUCH lower). Her office staff and surgical tech was also very thorough and professional. I talked to Dr. Koonce about a breast reduction with lift, and tummy tuck with lipo. After I walked out of her office, it was hands down the easiest decision to pick her as my surgeon for the surgery. Planning on scheduling for 9/2024.
We have gone to several doctors over the past few years for an augmentation consult and Dr. Koonce by far the most professional and thorough of everyone else. She makes you feel very comfortable and is very nice. You don’t get the feeling like your just another patient.
That's an excellent question. Any filler can put pressure on blood vessels depending on how much is injected and where it is injected. If you had your injections done by a board certified surgeon with excelllent understanding of the vascular anatomy, compromise of the blood vessels is an unlikely but possible complication. Most patients who have pressure put on their blood vessels by injected fillers which will cause a problem will notice symptoms within 24 hours if not immediately. They should report any symptoms to their doctor as quick intervention can limit any damage that might occur.
