I went in for a breast-reduction. Dr. Moye and his staff is the best ever. They took real good care of me and made sure that I felt safe and comfortable. If I had to do this all over again this is the place I would go. I highly recommend Dr. Moye. Thanks again.
I had a breast reduction on 9/7/16. Dr Moye and his Staff was awesome, from day one. My surgery went well. He did an excellent job. They took good care of me the entire time I was there. After my surgery Dr. Moye called at home that night to check on me and told me if I need anything to give him a call. The next day the staff called to check on me as well. Any paper work that I needed filled out was done within a few hours and returned. I could right a book about the staff here. They are super nice. I would recommend everyone that needs any type of plastic surgery to go to Dr. Moye. I rate this office ??????????10 stars.
I had to be at the doctor office at 7 AM and I got home around 2:30 PM. I didn't have that much pain. I was full of energy which surprised me a lot! The only that really hurt was my drain tubes where they are coming out. The walker is a big help going to the bathroom! I went bed at 1 AM and slept until 8:30 AM. Updated on 19 Dec 2013: I finally had a BM this morning I was kinda worried about it so I was happy when I got up and had to go. I had a post op appointment at 9:45 AM I had no clue what to wear so I just wore an grandma robe with flowers and that was about it. Getting on the table did hurt a little but that was about it. The nurse cleaned my dressings and redid the tape and all. I still have my drain tubes still in until I get less then 30 in a 24 hours time period. I also got a few stitches out of my belly button today too! I also have 2 blisters to form due to the binder. Yuck! I am getting around pretty good just tired a lot. Updated on 20 Dec 2013: It felt so good to be able to take a bath! I felt so much better! I even did good on changing my bandages and adding Vaseline in my belly button! Yea ME!! I did not even past out! I am getting around a lot better just be ready for the drain tubes are out and I can start standing straight again! Updated on 23 Dec 2013: I go today for my 1 week checkup praying I get a drain tube out! I am having low fluid on the right so I am sure I will get that one out for sure! Yesterday I took a bath and when I took the binder and wife beater shirt off I had a rash all over not sure why. I put baby powder on it and have not checked it today I figure I just wait until I go to the doctor at 2 PM. Anyone else every had that problem? Also did you by a girdle or something besides this binder if so what style and brand works best for you? Updated on 25 Dec 2013: I went for my check up and got into trouble bc I have not been taking a bath everyday excuse me but the dr or nurse did not tell me! I would had love taking one everyday! I got a drain out though!!! Question what do you use over your belly button and also over the tape??? They told me to use panty liners but they are a pain in the butt! Updated on 27 Dec 2013: Had a really good checkup yesterday. Got the tape off so no more tape or stitches in the belly button...still waiting on the my drain tube to get out! Hurry up! Need some help on what to wear when I go back to work?!?! No jeans at all! Updated on 30 Dec 2013: WOW! I can not believe how great how I feel after just having a TT 2 weeks ago today! I got my last drain out today and went to Wal-Mart and got me a CG wow it is tight and I even got a bigger size! I might have to go back to the binder! I am going to try it out for a few more hours and go back to the binder for the night. I am wondering if I got the wrong firm type... Updated on 12 Jan 2014: Still a lot of swelling went to the PS this past Thursday and they had a Vacuum Suction Machine (can not remember the name of it...lol) treatment today on me. My nurse told me to use heavy thick lotion on my scars and also go to Lowes/Home Depot and get a small wallpaper roller about 2 inches wide start in the middle and roll out to move the fluid out of the middle off my stomach. I have to do it several times a day and also do massages on the belly button with lotion. I am wearing spanx but I am more comfortable in my binder I got from the PS office. I am feeling great just don't like bigger thighs and my tummy swelling so much! Updated on 16 Jan 2014: Went for a check up today and everything is looking great! I got to do the massages at least 3 times a day not looking forward to that since it hurt at the dr office but I am happy with my results! Updated on 20 Jan 2014: Today is 5 weeks! :) I can't believe it. Here are some pictures. I am swelling still! The scar is looking great to me. I can sleep on my side without laying on a pillow just use one beside my tummy as support. I have been doing massages on the tummy and scar 3 times a day. I have to look at the mirror to just make sure my ugly belly is gone,,,it feels like a dream. Happy healing my buddies! Updated on 21 Jan 2014: Here is some pictures that I took a picture of from the PS office. Updated on 22 Jan 2014: up close of the scars 5 weeks PO Updated on 23 Jun 2014: I go tomorrow for my 6 months check up!
on July 4th I decided, it was time for independence from my large breasts (DD)! So, I sought out a surgeon....not just any surgeon. He may just be the best with the greatest staff too. I have been a DD cup for as long as I can remember. I've had chronic mid back to shoulders & neck pain for years. I'm one week post op tonight, and I still have lots of swelling. I'm not sure what cup size I'll end up being. I look forward to having less back & neck pain! Does anyone know how much swelling there usually is after surgery? I'm wondering how much smaller my breast will actually get? Updated on 9 Oct 2013: Well, my swelling has gone down slightly in past couple days....I think. Sleeping in a recliner since surgery is really starting to take a toll on me. I really need to get back to my job...so that's a dilemma. Feeling kinda bummed. Updated on 12 Oct 2013: Oh my gosh.........the itching is out of this world! I feel like a monkey constantly catching myself with both arms turned in to lightly scratch at my breast! Yes, it looks funny.....but this is some serious itching! And, what's even worse????? I can't "really" scratch. Driving me crazy......if anyone has any tips for the post surgery itching, I'm all ears. Updated on 13 Oct 2013: The healing around my nipples......especially my right nipple kind of scares me. I know it's still very early in healing process. Still happy. Updated on 14 Oct 2013: Day 14 after surgery I still have a great deal of swelling. I hope the girls stay perky after the swelling is gone! Updated on 15 Oct 2013: Post op appt was okay today. PS is pleased with healing. I'm still nervous about the gaps in incisions under nipples but all is well. (I'm a natural born worrier!) PS explains it's average normal healing. I'll be glad When I'm healed. Does anyone else have pictures of their incisions 2 weeks post op? Updated on 19 Oct 2013: I'm feeling much better today. I still have tenderness & swelling to breasts but that's expected. The gaps in my incisions under nipples are becoming smaller. I'm able to actually sleep lying flat now! Woohoo! Updated on 26 Oct 2013: It's day 26, and my breasts are becoming smaller. Lots of the swelling has gone down. I still have a great deal of swelling left though. The incisions have become more tender as i begin to regain more sensation to my breasts. The gaps in my incisions are slowly healing....but thankfully they are healing! I'm becoming nervous that my breasts may be much smaller than I anticipated or imagined them being. (That's one of the risks u take with this surgery). I'm okay with that...."being smaller than I wanted". I can always buy padded push up bras if my breasts get waaaayyy too small. My husband still seems disappointed at times that my Double Ds are gone. My head, neck, shoulder, and back pain has decreased considerably. I've decided to replace my mattress soon too to hopefully help completely eliminate the pain. All in all.....I'm still happy with my decision to have a breast reduction. Updated on 29 Oct 2013: I had my 4 week post op appointment with PS today. It went well. I've started trying on bras & swim tops. Right now, I'm a very full C cup/small D cup. I still have swelling. I have high hopes that I'll be a C cup after all swelling decreases & settling is complete. :-) Updated on 2 Nov 2013: Day 34.....& I'm still happy with my new boobs! I'm very happy that all the gaps in incisions have finally closed with new skin. I went bra shopping this week. At Lane Bryant (where I use to buy bras), I'm now size 38C. However, at Victoria's Secret, I'm size 36D. So, VS has obviously changed their sizing since I shopped there for bras many years ago. Updated on 12 Nov 2013: I'm 6 weeks & a day post op! Most of the swelling has gone down. My breasts are taking a more natural shape & feel now. I've lost some of the fullness to the top of breasts that I've had due to swelling. All open skin areas to nipples have finally closed. It is true if you gain weight after surgery your boobs will get bigger too. I've gained 10lbs or so since surgery & I can tell my boobs are a bit larger last couple weeks despite me losing the swelling. ( mainly I can tell by how my surgical bras are more snug now & my breasts feel heavier). My husband swears they don't look any larger. LOL! He's still a little lost without "them". Updated on 23 Jan 2014: Feeling much better now....I still have some residual swelling to breasts. All those wacky sensations just hit out of nowhere. However this is to be expected when nerve endings are healing/regrowing. My right nipple and other areas of my breasts still have numbness....this too is expected. I anticipate over the next 6-8 months the numbness will continue to resolve. I'm still so happy that I had the reduction. My husband is still having to get use to the new smaller me. Updated on 2 Apr 2014: Swelling is completely gone and the fullness at top of my breasts has disappeared. My breasts are taking a more natural shape now with the tightness of tissue relaxing as my breast heal.
Hi i have been approved for a breast reduction. I have wanted this for years b/c i have always been heavy chested and in pain. I am 20yrs old 5'3 196lbs. I am a 40 DD never stayed in a B long. My surgery is sept. 19th and pre-op is the 6th. I have to make up my mind on free nipple graft or pedicle. I have small nipples and my ps says i can have either one. Updated on 3 Oct 2012: Added nipple graft pictuers. *VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!! They are now in the healing process.
Mother of 4. All c sections. Two hernias. Much needed TT. Tired of people asking am I pregnant. Nooooo I'm not!!'m just a bit nervous because my hernia is close to my navel and it may not make it out of surgery. I'm not really excited about that. Hopefully it will. I'm getting closer to my date and my nerves are tangled. Lord knows I been planning this surgery for years. Updated on 29 Aug 2016: Taking the time to check in before the check in time. It's 4:30. I have to be there at 7:30. All prepared and ready to go. I took some pre pictures but I'll post them when I'm able. Looking on here for some serious support. I'm ready. There's no turning back. I'm excited and so is my family. Updated on 3 Sep 2016: Can you say back pain? That's the only pain I'm dealing with. I felt a uncomfortable pin like pain near my right drain but I just re adjusted it and it's better. I'm not happy with the ripping pain of coughing..OMG I had to lay across the bed to cough. But over all I'm doing great. Updated on 13 Sep 2016: Today I got the OK that I could start walking straight up again... I can be normal again.. It's gonna be slow but I'm progressing fast. Doing good healing well. Just had one spot that needed a little care but that's nothing I can't handle.. Looking forward to this new body.
I am so ready to have my flat tummy back! I got really bad stretch marks with both of my boys. The Dr said that I had lost muscle tone in my stomach so no matter how much I work out I will always have a tummy. The tummy tuck will get rid of most of my stretch marks and it will be flat once again! I can't wait to see what it will look like once it's complete! Updated on 9 Oct 2014: Everyone says I am crazy because I want a tummy tuck! They don't see what I see, they are only judging with clothes on. I can't stand the stretch marks and the bulgy belly that I have. It's not so bad when standing but when I sit there it is!!! Do yall think a tummy tuck will help me? Updated on 20 Oct 2014: I have my preop apt in the morning. I changed my surgery date to 11-10-14! Updated on 27 Oct 2014: Does anyone have any helpful advice for the day of? My doctor said to wear a long dress bc its easier that pants and bring a pillow for the ride home. Any other suggestions? Updated on 7 Nov 2014: Wow can't believe my surgery is MONDAY!!!! Updated on 10 Nov 2014: So far so good! I know I'm on pain meds but this pain is not near as bad as my c section. Looking forward to taking bandages off. Dr removed 2 lbs from my tummy! I will post pics as soon as I can. Updated on 11 Nov 2014: This is all I can see right now :) Updated on 12 Nov 2014: Surgery was monday! Got my first drain out today! I didn't even feel the drain come out!!! So far I love my results! Updated on 16 Nov 2014: Anyone else experience redness around the belly button and drain holes? Dr said the Vaseline was irritating me. Updated on 18 Nov 2014: Updated on 20 Nov 2014: Someone asked me if I had muscle repair and I said no. I actually found out today that I did. I knew we had discused it but never asked. Guess that explains why my upper was so sore! Anyways I posted this picture because it is with no tape. This is the scar and it still has some marker marks but they r getting better. I am still so impressed with the way it has turned out. Updated on 24 Nov 2014: Updated on 29 Nov 2014: Seems a little red and irritated. Itching like crazy! Updated on 8 Dec 2014: Ok so for the past few days I have been a little swollen. Not too bad but mainly in my lower area. Now it feels like pressure between my legs. Is this normal or should I call the dr? I have my 4 week follow up tomorrow. Updated on 15 Dec 2014: Updated on 23 Feb 2015: Hey! I am feeling great! I love the way my tummy tuck turned out. My belly button is beginning to open back up and look somewhat normal. I started walking this week so hopefully I can work on losing some weight on my sides. Im not crazy about how they look in a swimsuit right now but hey! I am getting there!
