I've tried the diet & exercise thing plenty of time, but nothing ever worked to get rid of my round belly (strangers would often ask of I was pregnant). I began researching liposuction about 2 year ago and made the decision to that smart lipo was for me. It is an investment, so I had to save up some money first. After hitting my financial goal, I began researching doctors in my area. I went to 3 consultations and finally made the decision to go with Dr. Brenman. I chose him because he was very attentive, knowledgeable, caring. He answered all of my questions and reassured me that smart lipo was the best option for my body type. Updated on 13 Oct 2019: The procedure went well. Upon arrival the doctor gave me a cocktail of medications to help me relax. I signed consent forms and then had to wait until the meds kicked in. When it was time to get started the tech, Jackie, came to take me to the procedure room. I was able to keep on my underwear and socks, but everything else came off. My eyes had to be covered due to the laser, but they talked me through the whole process. First the doctor went in with the numbing solution through two incisions. That was the worst part. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it was uncomfortable. The next step was to go in and liquefy the fat to. This part was interesting, because I could hear the fat cells bursting. The last step is to suck all the fat off. After the procedure was over tegaderm patches were put over the incision sites. The tech helped me into my compression garment and I was free to go home Updated on 13 Oct 2019: I woke up in the middle of the night in a lot of pain (5/10). I just took a pain pill and went back to sleep. I was told to drink lots of water, so I did. That also means I had to pee a lot. It's quite painful to take the compression garment off and on everytime I had to pee. Updated on 13 Oct 2019: I am still very swollen but I'm starting to see results. I know the final results will not be for another few months. The pain isn't bad. I was able to go grocery shopping today. The pain pills are helping. Its getting itchy wearing the compression garment all day, so I put the alone vera gel on to help. I have not had any drainage which the doctor says that varies person to person
I originally went into Dr. Brenman’s office on January 30, 2019 for a breast aug and rhinoplasty consultation ($10,700 in total). I cannot say enough good things about his practice. His staff was extremely welcoming and Dr. Brenman spent extra time answering all of my questions about which implants would be best for me. His assistant Gina was excellent with all of my pre/post-op questions, getting paperwork in to take leave from my job, and was available to me at all times during the day to answer my questions. We scheduled my surgery the same day as my first consultation because I was confident I wanted Dr. Brenman to do my work. My pre-op appointment was done in his Plymouth Meeting office with 3D imaging so I could see my desired outcomes. Dr. Brenman was very patient with me at this time making sure my ideal outcomes were realistic and would look natural on my body. Then two weeks later on March 4th, 2019 I went in for my procedure. I elected to have it done at University of Pennsylvania hospital where their staff was excellent as well. I met with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Brenman prior to going to the OR room to go over final plans again. During this whole process I felt zero anxiety and am now in full recovery mode at home. Dr Brenman sends you home with scripts to fill prior to your surgery date and Gina gives you plenty of instructions on what to expect, and a goody bag full of things, to make recovery a breeze. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Brenman and his entire staff to anyone looking to get work done! I will update with photos in the coming weeks.
Today I had a consultation with Dr. Brenman today. His staff was very pleasant and he was able to answer all my question and concerns. I am so excited to get the procedure done by him. I schedule my procedure for February. I will provide updates on my journey.
My experience was more than I could have ever hoped or wished for from the beginning to the end with Dr. Brenman and his staff. I will be a long time client/patient of Dr. Brenman's because not only is he an expert in his field, but he and his staff treat you like you're important. I had a negative experience with a plastic surgeon in Baltimore that treated me like just another "sale." And when I left with botched breast reduction, I came to Dr. Brenman and right away felt right at ease and knew I found my doctor who really cared to make me happy and didn't just want to make a sale. He did a fabulous job and I got exactly what I wanted. Gina and Jackie and the rest of the staff are so warm and sweet. Gina texted me everyday post surgery to see how I was doing. She always answered my texts and made scheduling and payments and all my questions EASY. I LOVE DR. BRENMAN AND HIS STAFF and I will be referring everyone!!!!!
I had my surgery 10/15/18 @ 7:30am came out feeling very nauseous from the anesthesia. I was in recovery longer then expected because I couldn’t eat or drink anything from feeling so sick. When I was finally feeling okay I noticed my left breast was abnormally swollen. I told the nurse that I new swelling was to be expected but my one boob was bigger than my head. The nurse called the surgeon to come and check on me. It seemed like forever because how bad the pain was, but when he finally came he rushed me right back to the OR because I had a hematoma. When I woke up I didn’t feel as bad as the first time, ending up leaving the hospital around 8pm. When I was home the pain meds helped a lot just felt a lot of pressure . The next day I noticed that I had an allergic reaction to the iodine, called the doc and he gave me the okay to shower. On my 3rd day of recovery I was getting my kids ready for school when I slipped down a couple of steps, went to reach the railing with my right are and that was a painful mistake, felt like I ripped my muscle and the stitches. Right away I called the doc he said just to look for any swelling or discoloration. It seemed like the fall didn’t do any damage. I seen my doctor on 7th day and he said everything was healing well but my left is still pretty high, maybe from the hematoma, so he ordered me a band that helps my boobs drop faster. It’s my 11th day of recovery I have no feeling below my nipples Which I believe is normal. My breast feel real achy like the way you feel when you have flu. I’m real nervous to return to work tomorrow. I’m sever at a diner I just hope my boobies are ready. I noticed when I walk long distance my breast are tight, and it feels like my ribs are being contracted. Updated on 29 Jan 2019:
So..I recently started looking into smart lipo about two weeks ago. Ive been searching intensely on YouTube, real self, doctor sites, and google. I saw many great reviews, and was excited to know I can be awake for the procedure. Seeing that I could be awake, as well as proceed to my every day life after a few days convinced me to move forward. Sooo after researching, I’ve found a doctor (Scott Brenman MD, FACS) to complete my first consultation. I went to his office located in the Plymouth meeting area, and felt comfortable. Prior to visiting the office, I’ve made up my mind that I will get it...So it’s all about finding the doctor to do it. Updated on 6 Oct 2018: Days after researching: I felt very comfortable to decide I will definitely get smart lipo. At this point, I searched doctors on real self and google, and sent requests for a few consultations on real self. I received one phone call from the 3 people I contacted on real self, however I personally contacted another (Scott B.) through his personal website. Out of all people I were interested in, he was the only with a free consultation. I received a consultation at his office the very next day and went. Prior to the consultation, the office assistant told me about financing and ran my credit for approval. I okayed the credit run (but idk if that was too soon or not) however, I was APPROVED!!! The pricing range was around $6,000!!! SO: •The office was very nice, clean, and relaxing. •the receptionist/office staff (Gina) was very nice and welcoming. •I filled out two papers (patient info/medical history) •I was taken right back to meet w/ the doctor: (he was gentle, patient, and seemed very educated and experienced) He provided the procedure details, took a look at the areas I want done, took pics, and told me a was a great candidate. He also told me the medicines I would need, such as Percocet, Ativan, and so on. •After the consultation I did not immediately book, although I did feel comfortable. Because I did not book, I did receive a lot of texts from the office assistant about being available to book when I’m ready, which seemed weird, but I did continue to keep them in mind. Updated on 6 Oct 2018: After the consultation with Dr. Scott Brenman, I proceeded to make the appt with him. I will be getting the procedure done on Thursday October 11th at 8am, in his Plymouth Meeting, Pa office. My total price came out to $6,495.00. I was approved through care credit for $6,000.00, with a $495.00 balance to be paid out of pocket. (If interested in doctors whose prices are expensive, ask about “care credit”) I am now awaiting a few prescriptions for medicine I will take prior to the procedure to help with pain and possible anxiety, while continuing to research and prepare for the actual day. I will follow up in a few days once the procedure is complete. Here are four pictures as of now BEFORE the surgery takes place: (full abdomen, left side of stomach, right side of stomach, and back area) Updated on 12 Oct 2018: Hey guys, so today is the day of my procedure and I am now in the office waiting to begin. I took these pictures prior to leaving my house, and will upload pictures once I am done. I have recently take the prescribed medicine beings tho I will be awake, (Percocet, Valium, and Ativan). I am now about to get marked up, and from there I will be getting started! ???? I am very relaxed, and trusting in god and the doctor to perform a great surgery. Updated on 12 Oct 2018: Hi! So today around 1pm I finished my Smart Lipo procedure, which began around 10:30am. I am currently feeling perfectly fine (no pain, cramping, bruising, etc). I am actually in my car about to go pick up a compression garment that I would rather wear, and chill out afterwards. However, the procedure was good. Because of the medicines I had took prior to the procedure (Valium, Ativan, and Percocet) I was in and out of light sleeps (but I kept myself up any time I felt like I was dozing off) The procedure happened really fast, and Dr. Brenman was able to get out 1,600 cc’s which is about 3.5 lbs. ???????? I have no complaints about the surgery or my results yet. I’ve learned that I will see swelling over the next few weeks so I am already prepared to be patient. But I will add that during the procedure I did feel some tight pinching in certain areas, however that was the most uncomfortable but bearable experience in total. I will continue to upload and keep up with my journey a few times a week. ???? #day1 Updated on 12 Oct 2018: So today is October 12th (Friday), the morning after my surgery. Last night I continued to feel fine until about 1am when I woke up for the bathroom. I felt a lot of pain in my stomach area (pain: 8/10), and after using the bathroom I would feel as though I had to throw up and was overheated. This happened twice throughout the night, however once I made it back into my room with very cool air I felt much better. Also throughout the night, I had to sleep on my back because otherwise I would feel the pain. Results: This morning my stomach went down from swelling, (my stomach was really swollen the day of) however I see a MAJOR change in the swelling, (took bromelain) and my stomach is definitely looking flatter. I have been wearing black compression shorts (from the doctor) and a tan compression set over top that comes all the way up over the black shorts (I got those from target) I also ordered a “post op surgery compression” garment from amazon - $21.99 (because I didn’t know if the one from target was good enough). Here are a few pics of my stomach this morning, the compression shorts I have on, and the set I will receive in the mail tomorrow. Updated on 12 Oct 2018: Hey, so I realized using this app you should take the pics through the app rather than upload from your files because it’ll cut off important parts of the pic. So these are reposted pics of me prior to surgery, the day of (10/11/18) , and the next day after (today 10/12/18).... I will continue to upload my journey. It’s now 11:30 pm and I’m feeling fine, stomach pain is at a 6-7 but only when I am getting out of bed. Other than that, things are going well???????????? Updated on 13 Oct 2018: Today is Saturday, two days after surgery. I’m feeling good, with minimal-medium paid (4-5) when getting out of bed or moving too much. However, I’m feeling good and still loving my results. I’m continuing to take cephalexin, bromelain, and Percocet (when needed). Today I showered, and it was not too bad...I also changed my bandages for the first time. OVERALL: I’m healing well, swelling is down, and still loving my results! Updated on 13 Oct 2018: Here are some front views of how my compression shorts & Faja fit me. Updated on 30 Oct 2018: My stomach looks bigger in these pics (compared to the last pic in pink underwear #day2post-op) but swelling is normal and expected so I am not really worried about it. Swelling is still present, and I did have to purchase a new garment because the black one posted was too small to stay comfortable. So I went a few days (about 12 days) without a tight garment which would have helped to work faster. But I am now wearing it as of October 23rd, and did receive a Lymphatic massage that day. So I will keep up with both and post again soon. The healing process has been great other wise. These pics are from October 28th & October 30th Updated on 20 Nov 2018: Here is a pic with clothes on, after the gym...I will post another without clothing later. I am still wearing the compression garment faithfully. My first time back in the gym was last week so basically a month after, I started back. However I did an workouts after about 2 weeks at home. Updated on 29 Dec 2018: Here is me currently on the left (December 28th) almost 3 months post-op. It will officially be 3 months on January 11, 2019. Very pleased with my results! I have been working out here and there, and also cut back on drinking coffee and alcohol. However, I do of course think the surgery is the greatest result of this.
Dr. Brenman’s experience and gifted hands have provided me with the best results after my Smart Lipo procedure. It has only been a week and I feel amazing. His caring staff makes the process a breeze and the tips I was given pre-surgery made a huge difference in the post-surgery results ~ I did not have bruising and my inflammation is a lot less after only a week. I thought I needed a tummy tuck and during my first consultation he advised me to have a Smart Lipo instead. I appreciated his honesty. I feel it was the best investment and I am extremely pleased with the results.
Best doctor! I had breast implants removal and lift done (I had my implants for 15 years and really didn't liked them much, they were to big for my body 34DD) and Im so glad I found him on your site! Very friendly and accommodating stuff (Claire and Lue have been wonderful) I had surgery 3 weeks ago and my breast looks great already,( small and perky) probably will be full 34B after swollen go down) very happy with results! I did't even take tylenol after surgery for pain, I think its because of his experience and his magic hands! I will recommend him to anyone if you want great results and fast recovery.
I can't say enough about how wonderful all the staff is at Dr. Brenman's practice. All that work there, from the receptionist to Dr. Brenman himself, are very knowledgable, kind, and reassuring. I would highly recommend them!
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Brenman. He explained the procedure throughly and answered all of my questions. I had a breast reduction and I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Brenman and his staff were all very professional.
Based on your photo it does not appear to me that nipple repositioning with a lift will be needed with your breast augmentation. The implants will further elevate your nipples. Some internal expansion of the lower pole may be needed but this does not result in additional scars. Best to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can also show you before and after results on their patients with a similar build. All the best,Scott A. Brenman, M.D., F.A.C.S.Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Selecting the size of the implant for your augmentation procedure is among the most important decisions you and your plastic surgeon make when planning your surgery. It is not a decision that should be made "on the table" given imaging technology and ultimately should be your choice. Your plastic surgeon should advise you as to what size breast will best fit your frame and what size implant will best fit your breast. With 3D imaging your board-certified plastic surgeon should be able to show you several options and the anticipated simulated results. The final choice should be yours based on what you see as most attractive. Getting input from family or friends is also helpful. All the Best!Scott A. Brenman, M.D., F.A.C.S. Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Based on your photos and goals to achieve a full C-cup from your present A-cup you appear to be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation. Ideal candidates for breast augmentation are healthy, have realistic goals, have reasonably good skin tone and have close to symmetric breasts. It is still possible to get get great results when these pre-existing conditions are not met but an excellent outcome is less predictable.Best to obtain a consultation with one or more board-certified plastic surgeons who can advise you regarding the multiple options regarding implant size, style, and incision location and ideally can show you anticipated results with 3D computer analysis and simulation. All the best!Scott A. Brenman, M.D., F.A.C.S. Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Congratulations on your procedure- hopefully you are feeling well. Breast size, shape and feel tend to evolve over the first several months after surgery. As swelling resolves, there may be a slight decrease in size. However, as the muscle and skin expands the implants will settle lower and position more behind the major projecting point of the breast, namely the nipple-areolar complex, thus adding further projection to the breast. Volume in a bra may not change, but the breasts may appear larger out of a bra. For the implant size you received (400cc HP) you can expect to be approximately two full cup sizes larger than your pre-op size.Best, Scott A. Brenman, M.D., F.A.C.S.
MiraDry is a unique treatment using microwave technology to permanently reduce underarm sweating, odor and hair growth. Most people treated see immediate improvement with just one treatment though about 10% seek a second treatment to get even better results. The first treatment is $1995 and if a second is desired the cost is about half at $995. The treatment itself is painless due to the administration of dilute local anesthesia beforehand but a few days of swelling afterwards is expected.
