I needed upper eyelids surgery to correct a vision problem. I did a lot of research on the procedure prior to going in for the surgery. Dr Sullivan was recommended. He saw me twice after the surgery and at first I was worried about the scars that just didn't seem to be going away, but rather than dismissing my fears with that 'I know so much more than you' attitude so many doctors have, he sat and listened to me, talked to me and assured me that over time they would not be noticeable. I mean not only did I look like a raccoon but the scars were very visible. Well, just as he said they would they went away and are not visible at all. Not only has about 30% + of my peripheral vision been restored but my eye's look great. Nothing noticeable at all. He's a personable guy and as far as I'm concerned a skilled surgeon. I want some surgery done on my under eyes and will go back to him. I would recommend Dr. Sullivan to anyone who is worried about whether a 'plastic' surgeon is skilled or not be assured, he is. I received nothing for this review. In fact I was searching through other reviews and came across Dr. Sullivan. Prior to going to Dr. S, I had read some other reviews on another site. People talked about his bedside manner and the fact that he wasn't very friendly. I find this humorous, he is a professional, he didn't coddle me or act overly friendly, but he wasn't unfriendly either, just very straight forward and straight to the point of why I was there, what I expected and what I could expect. I appreciated this, if you want someone to laugh at your stories and have a nice pleasant chit chat with you and treat you as if you were a piece of rare china, then go somewhere else. If you want a Dr. that is skilled, pleasant, professional and caring then go to Dr. Sullivan
Dr. Sullivan and his staff are very professional and have the highest of standards. The Doc explained every procedure that he was going to perform along with the results he expected. His assistant was funny and friendly as she checked my eyelids to see what needed to be done. I am happy with the results and the experience.
