LASIK

My eyesight has gradually gotten worse over the years and it has been really disappointing for me as I never wanted glasses and hated wearing them. I could NOTICE my eyesight deteriorate over the years and I never enjoyed contacts either as they caused a lot of issues for my eyes. As my vision got blurrier and my eye problems got worse, I finally researched Lasik and went for it! I had the procedure 2 days ago and it was quick and easy enough. I have some broken blood vessels from the operation but I feel fine and can see better than 20/20! My eyes are still healing but everything is going great already. Updated on 23 Mar 2018: So it has been a week since my lasik operation and my eyes feel fine. I had another followup today and my vision is 20/15 and was since the day after surgery. I finally stopped taking antibiotics and durezol and am only doing the artificial tears now. My doctor said I can stop wearing the protective goggles at night at this point and can wear makeup if I choose to. I’ll probably wait another week or two to be on the safe side though. My eyes are still bloody red but it should go away in another week I hope. Besides that everything has been going pretty smooth! Updated on 6 Apr 2018: 3 weeks later and my eyes are finally absorbing the blood. Hopefully by next week my eyes look normal again. I have another followup appointment this Monday and will update if there’s any new information worth providing. Updated on 13 Apr 2018: So it’s been one month since I did lasik, and everything has been going smoothly so far. My eyesight is really good but sometimes my eyes get really dry making it hard to focus. I have to use artificial tears 2+ times a day and will do so until my 3 month mark at the least. I won’t see my doctor again until the 3 month mark as well, but he said everything is good and healing well. Still have 2 more months until my eyes heal completely and hopefully won’t be so dry anymore . I still have some redness in my eyes but it is minimal. I must have had a lot of popped blood vessels as I thought my eyes would have cleared up 2-3 weeks after, but unfortunately did take a bit longer than expected. However it is just cosmetic and doesn’t signify any real issues. Updated on 19 Apr 2018: So it’s been 5 weeks since I got Lasik and I thought i would give an update. My vision is perfect now and I am no longer light sensitive. My eyes don’t get as dry anymore so I’m finally feeling comfortable again. My eyes finally almost look normal now besides a small red dot that still hasn’t been absorbed yet. Updated on 21 Apr 2018: My eyes finally feel completely normal. I have no lingering side effects, I can see sharply from a distance, my eyes don’t really get dry anymore and most of my popped blood vessels have FINALLY disappeared, except for one last spot that is too stubborn to go away! I must have moved too much during my surgery so I hope some people can learn from me to do your best not to get nervous and move whatsoever as the result is bloody red eyes for a few weeks haha
