I have slight ptosis, and for the last couple of years I've noticed that my eyelids didn't match each other (my left eyelid was damaged in an accident when I was 10 years old), and overall I just had a tired, sleepy, droopy look. I had been wanting to get my upper eyelids done for about a year, and in February I decided to bite the bullet and schedule my procedure with Dr. Amstutz at Grene Vision in Wichita Kansas. Decided to schedule my surgery for the Friday before Memorial day, so I could have a couple of extra days to recuperate before I went back to work. The procedure went great, there was minimal pain, and I've been able to gradually reduce the amount of eyedrops that I use. I looked like hell for about a week, but every day it's getting better and better. I'm at officially two weeks and one day since surgery, and today I wore mascara for the first time since my procedure. I'm interested to see if The upper blepharoplasty helps with pulling the skin around my eyes a little bit tighter, hopefully to improve the slight dark circles that I have underneath my eyes, but I'll probably end up going back to my aesthetician for fillers. I did have a slight problem the day of surgery – checking in, I was surprised by the facility fee that had not been mentioned when the payment arrangements were made about three months before. Updated on 11 Jun 2017: The swelling is going down each day, and the incision scars are becoming less prominent. I'm sure that the swelling will continue to go down over the next few weeks and maybe months. So glad I did this. Updated on 27 Jun 2017: I still love my look. the scars are healing well, and each day the 'pink' on my eyelids fades. So glad I did this.
