You can use minoxidil for hair loss. You have to use about 1ml of 5% minoxidil twice a day, regularly to see any effects. If you stop using it after several months, you will see hair loss in the area you were applying it to.

Finasteride is an inhibitor of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) production. This hormone is produced by Testosterone. Finasteride inhibits 5-alpha-reductase which is responsible for converting Testosterone to DHT. DHT is responsible for Male pattern baldness. At a dose of 1 mg/day, Finasteride lowers serum and scalp DHT levels by more than 60 percent. It has no affinity for androgen receptor and does not interfere with testosterone action. Hence, it is not an anti-androgen.

No. You don't really have to use the pump for the therapy to work but, it is recommended. 

We suggest using the pump twice a day for 10 minutes each time. However, it is not necessary.
