Hello my name is Dr. Russell F. Sassani, I am Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. My particular areas of interest and expertise are cosmetic surgery of the face, plastic surgery of the breast (enlargement and reduction) body contour surgery (liposuction and tummy tucks) laser skin resurfacing, and Gender Confirmation Surgery. I have performed over 10,000 surgeries. Our surgery center is fully equipped, state of the art and fully accredited with licensure through the Florida department of health.
Dr. Sassani and his staff were very professional, thorough, and friendly. They answered every question I had and took great care of me before, during, and after surgery, and at post-op appointments. I chose Dr. Sassani for top surgery after doing a lot of research online because of his consistently amazing results. I am so glad that I did. My chest looks amazing and my recovery has been moving along much quicker than expected.
Dr. Sassani is a professional artist. He goes over every detail of the procedure to take place, post surgery, recovery; I'm one week post surgery and so far every detail has been exactly as he explained. Although my face is still a bit swollen, I look 25 to 30 years younger, AMAZING!! Most important, he will not try to sell you a procedure you don't need. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they are all professional and so friendly, you'd think you've known them for ever, Karen, Kim, Jeninne, Tiffany, awesome ladies; even the anesthesiologist was amazingly friendly and comforting. I would recommend Dr. Sassani and his practice to anyone without hesitation.
Had the following Lipo 360 Body sculpting BBL Ab etching Fat transfer to chest At Take Shape plastic surgery in plantation, fl ( Fort Lauderdale area ) Dr. Sassani 954-234-2329 Jackie is the coordinator. You can following him on Facebook as well as IG ,there are videos of my surgery as well as before and after pics on IG . Also Dr. Sassani studied in Colombia under Alfredo Hoyos who is the master is Ab etching and body sculpting!!! Total cost was 16,000 Surgery lasted 8 hours so 2600 of that cost was just for the anesthesia. Every single person in that office has been absolutely amazing , so friendly and caring and they truly wanna see you look amazing !!! Dr. Sassani is the nicest doctor , very caring, he truly wants to do his magic and make you look amazing and not just take your money his nick name is the wizard !!! My journey has been amazing , the first 48 hours is the absolute worst you feel like you got him by 3 semi trucks twice lol , learning to go to the bathroom was another issue the first few day’s so it’s recommend that you take something to help with that. When I hit week 1 I felt great I stopped all my pain meds that morning only taking a Tylenol few times then I have nothing since , still swollen and bruised which is expected and with any lipo it can take up to 6 months to see your full results and all the swelling to be gone . Still have parts of my sides and back and front that are still numb which again is very normal. With the male Ab etching not only do you have to wear the compression garment but also a 6 inch foam insert over your abs which you will see in my pics why there is like indentations in my skin , today I no longer have to use the form insert just the compression garment. All the indentation will go back to normal , during my visit today doctor said I look great healing as expected. I wanted to make this post as detailed as possible try and help out others make some decisions , especially for the men it just seems that there is not a lot of detailed info on Ab etching and body sculpting and men’s procedures in general. I will keep posting updates as my journey continues , please let me know if you have questions, more then happy to answer them when I can. Keep in mind when viewing my pics you always look amazing immediately after your surgery then your body starts to bruise and swell so look good then bad and then good again. In closing if you were like me and had your heart set on going to Colombia to get snatched to hell!!!! I highly recommend Dr Sassani and his team at take shape plastic surgery!!!!
Dr S is quite the artist. The Surgery exceeded my expectations. The Staff is very efficient and friendly. Dr Sassani adheres closely to his appointment schedule. Waiting is kept to a minimum. I Recommend him very Highly
Dr. Sassani is an Artist. I'm only 3 days post OP and I loooooove my new D/C cup size breasts. They are perfect. He is the best plastic surgeon. He listened to my concerns and explained everything thoroughly. The staff in the office are very nice and professional. The experience was amazing.
I've been suffering with horrible neck, back, and shoulder pain for a long time. Lately it has been debilitating. The pain has had me in tears in between meetings. I can barely get myself up sometimes because my neck muscles will be so constricted where it connects to my shoulders. Updated on 22 Oct 2018: These girls hurt like hell on my shoulders. I'm looking forward to being a full C. I've never really had nice breast. Even as a teen they weren't perky like some of the other girls. I could always tell that they were going to be a mess lol. Anyways th hats what they are now and I'm so glad that not only will my shoulders and back be happy but I'll be happy with some new perky girls. Updated on 22 Nov 2018: I hate drains, but I guess they do serve a purpose. Tried to hide my little armpits hairs dont judge me. Scale of 1 to 10...10 being the pain I had with my csections I'd say I feel like a 5 right now. I cant wait th I'll tomorrow to see my new girls. I already feel relieved from my neck and shoulder pain. I feel totally different. I will be posting updated pics when I'm out my bandages Updated on 23 Nov 2018: My neck shoulders and upper back feel so much different. Dr Sassani did an amazing job. He even pulled in some of my back fat bra rolls. I recommend him a 100 times over. He is personable. We talked laughed together today at my post op appointment. His staff is great. I'm so happy with my results Updated on 24 Nov 2018: I'd say I feel my nipples now more than ever before. Once my bandages were bc record I could feel the air on my nipples. My doctor said that was a good sign. Now at 3 days post i feel my nipples totally with no issue. Here are more pics and also a comparison to my wish pic. Dr Sassani delivered! Updated on 5 Dec 2018: So much I need to type but I'm so tired lol. My next update I will discuss recovery also the dreadful side boobs that i had removed during this breast Reduction procedure. My incisions are extended on the bottom because of this. Feeling okay today. I returned to work yesterday. I kind of feel like I needed another week but it's ok. The week is flying by Updated on 21 Dec 2018: Healing well. I'm in love with my new girls. I'm exactly 1 month post op. The discoloration on left breast was an allergic reaction that blistered from the surgical tape. My skin color is coming back so I'm not to worried. Overall I'm in love with them
I had large saggy breasts (38G) which were causing shoulder and neck pain. My insurance covered the procedure, so they dictated how much needed to be removed in order for the procedure to be covered. I'm 5'3 and 175lbs. I've had large breast my entire life. I figured a D cup would be proportionate for my body. I wish I could have somehow visualized what a D cup would look like on my body prior to surgery. Now I feel like my stomach is huge and I don't fill in my shirts at all. I'm hoping that my brain will come to terms with this change in my body because what's done is done. I love the way my breasts look without a shirt on, but I can't go through life topless. I'm now considering a tummy tuck so that maybe my breasts will appear larger. I'm very conflicted about my decision and I'm now wishing I would have just left my insurance out of the equation and paid for a reduction to a 38DD. Updated on 4 Feb 2017: My stomach sticks out further than my breasts now ????
Dr. Sassani & his staff are so amazing! This was not my first experience with plastic surgery, but I would have to say it was the best. I was referred to Take Shape Plastic Surgery from a woman I met, she couldn't say enough great things about Dr. Sassani & his Staff. After receiving his card I made an appointment for botox and Lip Injections. When I Arrived The staff greeted me with a pleasant demeanor. I had the injections. Dr Sassani was so gentle and friendly that I felt comfortable asking questions about my aging face. At 49 years old I looked tired and hoped the injections would do the trick. Dr Sassani explained that I had extra skin and suggested certain procedures and gave me some pamphlets. After I did some research on the procedures, as well as Dr. Sassanis history and references. Because botox Is one thing, surgery is serious, So I did my homework. After reading a lot the Compliments from other patients and looking at pictures of before and after of various procedures he had performed. I then watched a video that I found on You Tube on Dr. Sassanis educational background and years of Experience. I was very impressed. I chose to have a full face lift, upper & lower eyes and a neck lift. When I arrived for the surgery I was nervous but the nurses were so compassionate, the anesthesiologist introduced herself and calmed my nerves the whole staff was so caring. I went home that afternoon with instructions and Dr. Sassani gave me his personal cell number in case I had any questions. I came in the next day to have the drains removed. I had a complication over the weekend I called Dr. Sassani he answered the phone right away and stayed in contact with me. He Promptly addressed the issue. As with any surgery there can be complications. The care I received was outstanding, I Felt More Like Family Than A Patient. Dr. Sassani Is so easy to talk to, concerns are always addressed with kind a compassionate Resolution. You are more like family than a patient. If you are thinking of having any plastic surgery Performed I Highly recommend Take Shape Plastic Surgery! Thank You, Dr. Sassani and staff.
Dr sassani is a skilled surgeon who listens and has a wonderful artistic eye. If he has a fault it is underselling his work. The facility and staff are second to none A huge srray of services are expertly performed
Dr. Sassani did an AMAZING job. I could not have imagined my chest to look any more perfect than it does. His staff and his medical team were amazing, and explained everything in detail and were very understanding and patient for all of my questions and concerns. They were also very respectable toward my gender identity and were welcoming in calling me by any name I desired throughout the whole process. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sassani to anybody wanting a FTM chest surgery, he is the best in the business and will do an incredible job.
Panda_Boy, thank you for your question. It appears that you have breast "ptosis" which means there is a fair amount of excess skin and breast tissue below the level of your inframammary fold. In addition your areola is large and also below the level of the inframammary fold. This situation does not lend itself to a minimal scarring, per-areolar approach to top surgery. In order to make your chest as tight, flat and masculine as possible, a double incision approach with free nipple grafting is going to be necessary, otherwise, you will end up with significant deflated and wrinkled skin below the level of the lower border of the pectoralis muscle and also there will be nipple malposition below the pec border. The areola will also be oversized if not reduced and repositioned. The best candidates for minimal scarring/ peri-areolar approach are small breasted patients with smaller nipple-areolae that are above the level of the inframammary fold. As always, an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon, well-versed in top surgery can discuss the risks and complications of all of the different procedures and help you determine the best approach for the best aesthetic outcome. Good luck
Thank you for your question jackporter. Based on your pictures, it appears that your nipple and areola are below the level of your inframammary fold and there is an excess of skin and breast tissue below the level of the fold as well resulting in breast "ptosis". In order to make your chest as tight an flat as possible a standard double incision procedure and free nipple grafts would be necessary to place the nipple and areola into a more masculine position. If a minimal or peri-areolar approach were attempted, there would not only be nipple malposition, but there would be a lot of deflated and wrinkled skin left below the level of your fold. Patients that are best candidates for the minimal-scarring or peri-areolar approach are smaller breasted and have their nipple areola above the inframammary fold and also have a tighter, "non-ptotic" soft tissue envelope for their breast skin. As always an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon, well-versed in top surgery can discuss the risks and complications of all the different procedures and come up with the best surgical plan tailored specifically for you. Good luck
Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you have had so much trouble in the past with hidradenitis-suppurativa, especially as it has affected your breasts preoperatively and also your recovery from your masculinizing top surgery. The decision to replace the nipples at the time of top surgery really is a decision made between the patient and their surgeon. If your desire at the time of surgery was to not replace them (especially because of the history of cystic changes and scarring), then the nipples did not need to be replaced and could very well have been tattooed instead (typically one year postop). Your option at this point is to excise the cystic and scarred areola skin in an effort to remove all of the affected areola skin. This will however leave a (hopefully) barely visible linear scar that could then be tattooed about a year later.
A good rule of thumb is that about 80-90% of the swelling will resolve in the first 4-6 weeks and the additional 10-20% can take a few months more. So be patient - especially since you are early on in your recovery. One other thing that is helpful with postop swelling is Arnica which is obtainable at any health food store. Follow the directions on the bottle. Also never fail to keep your surgeon in the loop and express your concerns to him or her. Good luck with your continued recovery and I hope you are enjoying your result
It is not unusual to see minor degrees of asymmetry after facelift surgery. Give it some time to continue to heal, soften and relax and if the earlobe asymmetries persist, an earlobe reduction on the larger side can be performed to even things out. This can be achieved under local anesthesia, and most plastic surgeons do not charge for simple revisions under local. Best of luck with your continued healing and I hope you are enjoying your result
