Recent breast reduction . Two days post surgery . Pain meds at work .
Have been wanting to do this for 8+ years . Dying to take a peek ! Waiting to change out gauze and compression garment til this afternoon .
I have always had large breasts . After childbirth and breast feeding 2 children , they weren't going anywhere but South . Everyday , I couldn't wait to get home and take off my bra. Had severe pain in upper back / neck and deep grooves in shoulders. Insurance was difficult and would not approve - they wanted me to resubmit pre approval in August . I decided to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket . I was mentally prepared to go through with surgery . That seemed like a perfect time to go through with it .

I am loving my new reduced size . Can't wait to be all healed up and enjoy this summer of lighter breasts.
The surgeon removed over 5lbs of breast tissue . What a huge relief.

Went for my 1 week check and to have drains and surgical tape removed last Thursday . Those drains were really starting to get unconfortable - especially as I took less n less pain meds. I was terrified of the removal part , but it was literally painless . The tape removal was a tad ouchy but really fine .
I did actually freak out a bit when I saw all the stitches that had been hidden by tape . Dr said those stitches are to be removed this upcoming Thursday . Haven't taken a new pic , but will try before stitch removal .
Not taking pain meds for a few days now . Feeling human but certainly not able to jump around or bend over forward - lol.
More than anything , I am just loving the fact that I look a billion times smaller in tops than I did before ! It is amazing how much of a difference of appearance I have with smaller perkier boobies ! LOVE LOVE LOVE this part of it .
And no back , neck , shoulder pain like I used to have .
Downside this week : lost of bruising , turning dark and crazy tender to palpation this last few days . Started taking arnica Montana & Bromelain yesterday to see if it helps a bit?
I have been drinking crazy amounts of water .Can't imagine not staying super hydrated through all this ! The hubby has been buying me the big bags of Sonic ice , to make my water yummy and cold :)
All in all , feel very blessed & happy about making the decision to finally have this reduction !

Hi BR friends .
Bruising is going down . The doctor was a bit concerned with the bruising on the right breast on the side . But it is really getting much better the last few days .
Stitch removal wasn't as bad as I thought it would be . I have a great nurse that distracts me .
I am getting pretty tired of lying on my back only , but wouldn't have made it without m super comfy lazy boy recliner . It's my fave spot to sleep . Just surrounded with pillows n a blankie . Only trouble is releasing the foot lever - lol - I understand why elderly people get those remote ones now .
Most uncomfortable part now is dry skin flaking and itchiness .
