Dr. Adelson Is such an amazing doctor very patient and thorough when it comes to surgery. I am currently 3 weeks post and so far so good other than the swelling. I did get an infection from one of the stitches but antibiotics cleared that up right away. Updated on 2 Dec 2019: Alright today marks 23 days since my surgery here is a little play by play the first row going down is my before the second row going down is 8 days post op and the third row going down is today 23 days after surgery. I’ve noticed the tip of my nose is drooping a little I’m not sure if that’s due to the swelling or the actual result. I’ve also noticed a little bump on the bridge of my nose. Again, I’m not sure if it’s because of my nose healing and the swelling, I guess we shall see. I know everyone is different and I’ve seen results and after four weeks their noses look amazing however, don’t feel that way I still don’t love my nose. I love how I can breathe but overall look I still feel like my nose is way to big for my face. Hopefully the swelling goes down more. Next update in a few weeks
I've never been able to breathe out of my nose so I finally saw an ENT. Turns out Dr. Adelson is dual board certified in ENT and Plastic surgery. My insurance (I don't have good insurance, I think Dr. Adelson is just very thorough with his notes and documentation) covered the rhinoplasty at 100%; his office did everything and it was very, very easy. I had an open rhinoplasty with turbinate surgery and deviated septum repair and sinus surgery. So there was a lot going on! He was able to do everything in one shot and I woke up with no bruising and feeling completely fine, my nose looks perfect and instantly I could breathe. I highly recommend Dr. Adelson. All he does all year is noses. He is the nose King. You'll have a fully functioning airway and a beautiful nose at the same time. Updated on 4 Aug 2016: Definitely definitely get a nose hair trimmer and trim all your nose hair completely away! After surgery when blood dries it'll be so much easier (and no pain) to clean if there's no nose hair for it to get stuck to. Use hydrogen peroxide and q tips to lift off all the black crusty blood around your nostrils. It's so satisfying how easily that takes it all out.
