Botox, August 21, 2019

I had Botox on my forehead, crows feet area and between my eyebrows. I don't know for sure how many units I had but I'll ask at my next visit. It doesn't hurt and it is done within 10 to 15 minutes. I think by concentrating on keeping still helps me not notice the needles going into my skin. I get an ice pack for my face and I don't use it for too long. I haven't had any filler in my lips but I used to when I had Botox. I am writing this the day after I had it but I took pictures. I'll upload the before photos first from 8/21/2019 Updated on 23 Aug 2019: These are photos from August 21, 2019. I took these ten minutes after I had Botox in my forehead, the area between my eyebrows and my stubborn crows feet. My face is relaxed in all of these pictures because I didn’t want to compromise where it was injected. I wasn’t in any pain. Updated on 23 Aug 2019: DAY •TWO• AFTER BOTOX... THURSDAY: The _second_ day, Thursday, I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort where the Botox was injected on my face. •I noticed that I didn’t have any bruising! Sometimes I’ll wake up with one or two tiny bruises at the injection sites *that only I would notice. If I need to cover up the bruise, I will use powder or a small amount of concealer. *I easily bruise and it’s common in my family. *Evening if Day 2: Thursday evening I noticed that my forehead felt a little tight, but I also didn’t get a lot of sleep. Sometimes I hyper focus or blame on the small things on Botox the days after and it’s *always* something I would not even think about on a daily basis- it happens in other scenarios too. It’s not something uncommon and I don’t look frozen or anything. Do I wish I looked frozen back into time? Of course, and if anyone tells you otherwise think twice. :-) I didn’t take any Tylenol and once in a while I was running errands all day and doing a lot of errands. Here are some photos from yesterday. All of my photos are taken right after I wake up, during the day or night and I will notate if I am wearing make up. It’s August & humid 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit ... Updated on 29 Aug 2019: Botox: One week after photos Updated on 2 Sep 2019: It’s been almost two weeks since I had Botox. I have to save that Botox really does start it’s magic after a week! I woke up and my eyebrows look good. My face looks good. No complaints here -actually it’s all great ! Updated on 7 Sep 2019: Hi! This is a 3 week after photo of Botox in my forehead and crows feet. I’m definitely squinting & squeezing my muscles! always notice of Botox is wearing off when some areas in my face twitch, if I’m stressed. It’s happened for many years before Botox. I will not even try to ask my insurance to cover it because insurance companies have no interest in helping. Botox is great!
