QUESTIONS ANSWERED

7 1/2 months post-op.: why are my nipples so high? Why is there no natural cuff at the bottom of the implant? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The implants have drifted down and seem too low.  The best fix for this is surgery to raise and stabilize the crease.   Your existing scar can be used for this procedure.  Crease revision is not as extensive as your initial operation so you needn't dread the prospect.

You should express your feelings to your PS.  Often revision is offered at a significant discount.

I hope this helps.

3 weeks post op breast augmentation, have indent underneath breast. Advice? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

On the right your breast is larger and droopier than the left.  As a result that breast is falling off the implant mound.   Fortunately,  your skin may remodel over the augmentation diminishing that appearance.  This usually happens at six months.  If it fails to occur you would need a lift to correct. Always check with your PS and relay your concerns so that intervention is expedient.

I hope this helps.

Would a facelift or midface lift help? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You do not need a standard facelift.  With your history of facial fat loss and pictures demonstrating volume redistribution I could recommend an endoscopic mid face lift.  You need a thorough consultation and appraisal of options, benefits, and risks.

Restoration may be accomplished to lesser degree with fillers to the cheeks, tear troughs, NLF, etc.  This might be a way to give you some preview of volume restoration to your face and help you determine if you want to pursue an end lift.  The endo mid face should include at the very least fat injections to develop an aesthetic 3D result.

I hope this helps.

Will I achieve a good result from my face lift, neck lift and upper and lower eyelid surgery without a fat transfer?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Four areas need to be assessed to thoroughly address facial rejuvenation.

1.  The mid face:  lookin tired, angry, older than we feel.

#   This area is best managed with an endoscopic mid face lift.  Improves brows, eyes, forehead and frown lines, and cheek bones, suborbital fat.

2. The lower face: droopy neck, jowls, haggard look.

#   A  facelift is still the standard here.  It can be any of several different variations: SMAS, MACS, triple plane etc.

3. Facial volume:  without the appropriate distribution of volume the lift may appear fake or unnatural and aesthetics will not be maximized.

#   Fat, fillers, or facial implants can be used at the time of the surgery or after to refine the results.

4.  Skin/ Complexion:  often overlooked but this can deteriorate an otherwise excellent result.  You also appears healthier and your results are prolonged.

#  Skin care and all its modalities including laser are used to improve the health and appearance of the skin.

The proper combination of these procedures requires complete assessment of the problem, your desires, and the skill and experience of the surgeon.

I hope this helps.

Infection on breast lift? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

While tension on the closure of a breast lift often causes redness, inflammation, and suture line breakdown you should definitely inform your plastic surgeon so that your situation can be accurately assessed.  Changes in vascularity to the skin can cause this appearance.  If infection is diagnosed, intervention may be as simple as a topical or oral antibiotics.

I hope this helps.

I smoked a cigarette one week before my BA and now I’m freaking out?!

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Smoking can affect all surgical procedures adversely.  Some procedures like TT or facelift can have serious complications from nicotine use.  Breast augmentation in general is far less sensitive to the adverse affects of nicotine.  In my practice I have no restrictions on smoking for breast augmentations. You should inform your PS and check into their policy regarding smoking.

I wouldn't worry.   Your PS will direct you as to the best possible way to achieve your goals.

I hope this helps.

Are my nipples going to permanently point down? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

At only 3.5 weeks post op it is too early to tell how much more lower pole settling you can expect.  Most likely the bottom of the breast will bloom out to accommodate the implant decent.  This will improve the look greatly.  By six months wysiwyg.  If you are still unsatisfied further modification of the implant pocket can take you closer to your desired result.

Keep your PS in the loop so everyone is aware of your concerns and will prepare for revision if necessary.

I hope this helps.

I had my breast augmentation surgery January 3rd! How long should I wait before going out at college?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

In our post augmentation protocol you can resume relatively normal activity at two weeks.  Some limitation may extend further depending on whether your augmentation was sub muscular vs sub glandular.  Sub muscular patients need a full month before exercising the pectorals muscles.

I hope this helps.

What do I need? A panni, tummy tuck, full tummy tuck or a fleur de lis? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You would have a great result with a full TT.  That would include rectus plication and 270 degree liposuction.  The procedure should control your waist, remove the apron, and reduce your circumference at all points.  All the operations you mentioned would give you some improvement but the full TT is the maximum you could achieve with your tummy.  Judging from the photos your results could exceed a belt lipectomy and without the additional scars.

I hope this helps.

Slightly asymmetrical breasts, different or same size implants? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Typically your level of minor asymmetry does not require different implant sizes.  If there is any question about the need for different sized implants a sizer can be employed during the operation to help refine the sizing process.

I hope this helps.

3 weeks post-op 300cc gel implant - from 32AA to 32D

I did 300cc gel implant. From 32AA to 32D. Dr. Louton and his team have been absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. Very patient and supportive. He even answered my phone call 10:30 pm 3 days post surgery. If you are hesitating, don't. He's the one. He really is. Thank you so much Dr. Louton and all his amazing staff! Updated on 8 Apr 2022: Everything is great and the only regret I have is not having them done earlier!!! My friends are all super surprised at how natural they look. I’m slowly picking up weightlifting again, and is finally strong enough to hold my crazy golden puppy without worrying about chest muscle!

100% Worth It

I have been considering a procedure to address the lower half of my face for years, but after I went through menopause at 45, I saw the aging process accelerate. The stars aligned and I had the means and opportunity to do something about it, so I took the leap. My experience with Dr. Louton and his staff has been excellent. I have never had long wait times for appointments or on surgery day, and everyone (including Dr. Louton) has been kind, courteous, and more than willing to answer any questions I had. I had very little pain post-operatively, and only mild swelling and almost no bruising. I was given a prescription for pain medication, but I only used it on day 2. After that, Tylenol managed the discomfort just fine. I am now seven days out from surgery and just had the sutures removed today. I wanted to post my “before” and first “after” pictures today just to show how little swelling and bruising I have only one week after surgery. The angle is not quite the same, but the difference is striking yet still natural. I am so pleased so far. Overall, it has just been a very positive experience and I am so glad I decided to proceed with this surgery. Updated on 20 Aug 2021: Just wanted to post an updated pic. I tried to replicate the “before” angle the best I could. Things are definitely less tight in the upper neck area now that my skin has relaxed a bit since the procedure. I’m hopeful that things are stable now. I find myself being perhaps a bit overly critical, but when I compare to the before picture, I still see a considerable improvement.

Cheek Augmentation

I have no doubt about Dr. Louton's expertise and I'm very excited to see the final result once the swelling goes down

This will be a detailed ongoing review as I heal. I read and appreciated the detailed healing posts when I was waiting for my procedure so I'd like to do the same for others too. I had silicone cheek implants put in today. Yes, just this morning. Malar/submalar augmentation is the official title for this surgery. My procedure was at the Advanced Center for Surgery in Altoona PA and the employees were all wonderful! I was to be there at 6:00 am for intake and scheduled for surgery 7:45. I was prepped and ready and actually taken back for surgery at 7:45! I am very impressed! Not only was Dr. Louton professional and friendly but the other employees were too. They did an excellent job of calming my nerves and letting me know exactly what to expect. After putting a gown and compression stockings on, I had an IV put in. They then administered antibiotics and zofran through it to combat infection and nausea after surgery. A bit later, closer to my surgery time they added medication (also via IV) to relax me before I was taken to the operating room. I was grateful for this step because there is nothing scarier than going into an operating room nonmedicated. Luckily the drs put the medication in before transport to the surgical room. The next thing I knew, I was waking up with my new cheeks in place. After recovery I was dressed and taken to the car where my "driver" was waiting. You have to have someone drive you because you will be in no condition to drive after and they won't let you leave on your own for safety reasons. Dr. Louton had thankfully administered lidocaine when I was sedated and my face was numb for about an hour to an hour and a half. I'm not completely sure because I was groggy for the a while after. I was glad for the lidocaine because it let the pain gradually seep in instead of a huge whammy upon waking from surgery. Luckily the zofran did it's job and I didn't get nauseous. I sipped a protein shake. Not because I was hungry but because I felt that my body needed the nutrients. My throat hurt. It still does but that's to be expected. At first it felt the way a cut burns if you get soap in it. After drinking some of the shake it felt a little better but it's still pretty raw. When I got home I tried to take an antibiotic. It was huge so I cut it in half. One half didn't seem to go down and it hurt. I coughed and swallowed repeatedly. This could have happened because of the procedure and the tube down my throat during anesthesia or it could be because of that and because of my "pouch" opening being smaller because of previous gastric bypass surgery. So I had an emotional moment and struggled not to cry because by then my face numbing stuff had worn off and hurt very bad. It was a 9 on a scale of one to ten. I was worried I wouldn't be able to take the pain medication because I couldn't get the antibiotic down. I kept swallowing and sipping hot tea to try to melt the antibiotic. Then I finally got it down. I was desperate for relief from the pain so I smooshed the pain medicine and put it in the medicine lid with some liquid protein powder mixed in. Then I spooned it into my mouth and drank a bit of protein shake after each mini sip. This was a little hard because I had my implants placed via incisions inside my upper lip but it I managed. I called the nurse line and asked if it was ok to crush my medicines and told her there was no way I could get my vitamins in today. The not being able to swallow the pills scared me. I asked if it should be better tomorrow because I have other meds I'm not sure if they can be taken smooshed. For example my thyroid pill. She reassured me and was very friendly. If you can't tell I'm feeling much better now. Well enough to write a review. The pain medicine (Percocet) kicked in and my pain is more manageable. It's a 5 on a scale of one to ten. I must add I'm to keep wearing the compression stockings for 24 hours and I had a prescription for antibacterial mouthwash that I dab on my mouth incisions throughout the day (esp after eating and drinking). I had screws to fix the implant into place but he also wants me to keep tape in place until my first post-op appointment to help keep sweeping down and stabilize the implant. I'm glad the tape is flesh colored. Overall, I'm extremely glad I had the procedure done. My Dr and his staff are very experienced, answer my questions thoroughly, and are warm and friendly. I have no doubt about Dr. Louton's expertise and I'm very excited to see the final result once the swelling goes down. (On a side note I have had RHA 2 in my lips and nasolabial folds at Blair Plastic Surgery (Dr. Louton's facility) too and found it a rewarding experience). Updated on 26 May 2021: Day 2 was a bit worse for pain until I took the pain medicine. I also learned fairly quickly on day two that the less I did, the less I hurt. I had gone into this thinking I wanted to take Tylenol for pain if I could stand it. However, they told me I should get the prescription for stronger pain meds filled just in case. I'm very glad I listened! I slept upright on a recliner with a wedge shaped memory foam pillow behind my back and a horseshoe shaped neck pillow around my head. I will sleep that way for a few more nights before transferring to bed with a wedge pillow. They told me the first couple days the higher you sleep the better. I also had a small pillow under my knees to helpy back not become stiff. I took a 5mg melatonin to help me sleep too. It wasn't too bad of an arrangement. I kind of switched my weight back and forth from cheek to cheek. At 4 a.m. I woke to crush a Tylenol to take and go back to sleep. Then I slept until nearly 11 a.m! My advice for those who are getting this done: try to talk as little as possible afterward! I found this hard to do once I started feeling better and paid for it. I noticed also my face hurt if I looked down at my lap at my phone so I tried to keep my head straight a lot. In the morning I drank a protein shake and took a Percocet pain pill which I had to crush too and then started feeling better. Later in the day I tried a Bromelain capsule and Beta carotene capsule whole. I felt like they were stuck in my throat and spent a long time trying to swallow them down. I ate cream of broccoli soup (strained) and cream of chicken soup. These I managed to get down ok. Then later I tried some jello and felt like that was stuck in my throat. I hope this swallowing thing feels better soon. I have a lot of vitamins to take. I couldn't stand the look of the markings and wanted to see the extent of the swelling. I was afraid of touching my face but it was ok when I did. I very tentatively took a cotton round and micellar cleansing water to try to get the markings off my cheeks. In the end I had to add a bit of bar soap to the mix but it mostly got the job done. It took a while because I barely used any pressure at all. I remembered to swab the stitches on the inside of my mouth often with the chlorhexidine mouthwash. I was surprised this actually wasn't too painful to do. I also made a post-op appointment which will be on day 4 and they will remove the tape from my face then. Surprisingly it isn't annoying or bothering me. Please excuse the disorganized writing but I'm not up to topic sentences and composing paragraphs lol. I do hope this helps someone though. Yes, it is a bit painful but not enough to deter me from doing it again. I still am happy I went through with it and I'm looking forward to the final result. Which I should mention is a slight lifting of my face to bring back a more youthful shape and add gentle lifting of the nasolabial folds. I know I mentioned it before but I had my lips and nasolabial folds filled a few weeks before surgery with RHA 2. Updated on 26 May 2021: I tried to find old pictures of myself from when the filler was dissolved. Because they are expensive, I didn't keep up with them regularly. (This is why the cheek implants made sense. I will spend less money on fillers because cheek implants are permanent.) In the 2021 picture the fillers were definitely dissolved. Updated on 26 May 2021: This picture is after RHA 2 fillers but before the cheek implant procedure. After my face heals I will probably do a before after picture in one so the difference can be seen better. I'm just passing time right now. Lol. Updated on 27 May 2021: Today was my follow-up appointment. My doctor has more than one location. To my embarrassment, I went to the wrong office for my follow up. They were great about it though and a nurse saw me there. She said everything is healing nicely. I was mistaken about the tape removal being today. I will still have the tape on until the next appointment..that will be on day 9. They said they like the tape to stay on for at least 7 days as it keeps the implants in place while your face heals. I don't mind, esp knowing it helps stabilize the implants. My pain is better today. I took my last Percocet and Tylenol seems to be doing well. I was told I could progress to soft foods today. I managed to eat some macaroni and cheese without hurting my stitches. I also found I could swallow pills whole today without feeling like they were stuck. I slept on a wedge pillow in bed with a horseshoe shaped pillow around my shoulders last night and it worked out well. I was told swelling gets worse up to day 3 and then seems to gondown. That has been the case with me. My swelling was peak yesterday and slightly better today. Each day better from here if I take it easy. I know it will take some time but I'm still very grateful I had the procedure and I'm looking forward to the final results. Updated on 2 Jun 2021: I had my appointment to have the tape taken off yesterday. I was very excited! She put something on the tape to dissolve the glue and waited a few minutes before pulling it off. It wasn't all that bad. I just felt a little bit of achiness afterward. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse because she was very nice. So was the Dr. and receptionist. I have a teensy bit of anxiety (still getting used to being around people after social distancing for so long lol) but I'm always surprised at how relaxed and friendly everyone is at the office and it really puts me at ease. Dr. Louton looked at the stitches in my mouth and said everything is coming along nicely. He said I was still a bit swollen. I can really notice it today (day 10). I'm glad I read other people's reviews and was informed at my pre-op appointment about the swelling so I'm not too worried about it. It seems the one side of my face is more swollen than the other and my cheeks still seem really big. It must be because I had my head leaning more to that side last night. I still sleep on the wedge pillow on my back with the neck pillow so that will hopefully help keep the swelling down. I scheduled my one month post op appointment and will be getting a complimentary skin evaluation appointment afterward to determine options for what can be done about some small wrinkles and age spots. Updated on 18 Jul 2021: At two months post-op my cheek implants now feel more like a part of me. I sleep on my side at night and only feel a little bit of pressure on them (nothing painful). My dissolvable stitches are completely out. When I smile it feels more natural now. I'm extremely happy with the results and feel grateful for having such an experienced doctor and staff!

$8,500Drainless Tummy Tuck

Teresa724

My long awaited tummy tuck! I definitely made the right choice

I have 4 kids. The last two were twins and I had a c-section. My twinskin has bugged me for 18 years now. I've always wanted a tt but there were always kids to take care of. For all of these years I watched my diet and worked out. But the tummy always bugged me. This year, my two youngest went to college and the military so I realized, now is the time! I made two appointments.I made one with Dr Louton and one with Conemaugh. Dr Louton was able to get me in a week before Conemaugh because he had a cancellation. I planned to do both and compare. But, I went for my first appt in Oct and I really liked everyone there. The waiting room was nice. Not like a regular Drs office. I filled out my forms. Medical history and such. I didn't wait long at all and they took me back. The nurse asked me what I was there for. I showed her and she wrote it down. She said she'd be back with the Dr. The Dr came in and asked the same question so I lifted my down. He looked and said, "yeah that's a tummy tuck." Then he touched up where my bra band is and said, "That's all skin. You probably thought it was fat. it's not" At this point I had to contain myself from either hugging him or ugly crying from happiness. So I asked 300 questions. At one point he asked if I was in the medical profession. I'm not.. but I'm not sure if he was curious or annoyed with me LOL Not in a bad way. He was very nice and very thorough. To backup - my daughter ended up having eye surgery this day - so I was a bit on edge and having to check my texts during our consult because of this. Both Dr Louton and Tiffany couldn't have been nicer about it. SO he left. I was finishing up info with the nurse. And my husband (who works out of state) texted, "You seem to like them. book it" So I told her I'd book it. We went over everything and I went to the front desk to book. If i remember correctly it was 20 % down. Paid that. And booked Nov 24. I went home and they called that day moving me back to Dec. 3.I was bummed, but thought one week later isn't a big deal. I waited this long! My preop was Nov 9. I went and and again went over all medical info. So my one pc of advice. When they ask those questions you tell them every little thing EVERY single time. At this point I told them I was allergic to Penicillin ON paper, in the office visit one, and in the office visit 2.So they gave me my prescriptions to get filled and we went over all of the preop and post op info I'd need. I really like Dr Louton. He relies on supplements for healing. More on that in a bit. WE then went back to do pictures. So I went to check out and finish paying. I paid and the person at the desk checked the schedule again. She asked if I wanted Nov 17th instead. WELL YES!! My surgery was a Tuesday.Another nurse called me Friday afternoon and told me my check in was Tuesday at 6:45 AM. My husband and I made reservations at the Microtel because I'm an hour away and we thought since we have to go back the next AM, it would just be easier. We also spent the night before there, so we wouldn't have to get up quite so early. We went in at 6:45 and checked in.They called my husband's cell to make sure if he left a bit they could reach him. Then we sat down. They came and got me pretty quickly after and off I went! So my surgery nurse. (sp) was Dania? She was just the best. She asked about allergies again (remember... tell them every time!) I said penicillin. As it turned out, she recognized that the antibiotic I was given has a 20% cross reactivity and apologized that maybe we should switch antibiotics. She had me change into a gown and teds and slipper socks. Then we head into another room. Don't be me. Keep your phone for this part. I put mine in my locker. Too early! LOL SO She put my iv in. Great job. I'm not easy and she did well. Then, the Anesthesiologist came in. Brett? He was also great. Explained everything. I again questioned him about my family history of heart disease. He calmed any fears I'd had with that. He explained (as the Dr had for me on visit one) that for the lipo portion to back/flanks he would have me a bit awake... just out of it.Then for the TT portion you are out entirely. Dr Louton came in and said, "This is your only job today just lift your skin up good and tight. I pulled it up and he drew about 1 inch below my section scar. It's getting real now! Had me turn and drew on my back. Asked me about my reaction to penicillin. I told him. He agreed. Yes, that's an allergy. So explained how they had switched meds.Dania had explained but I really appreciate hearing things from multiple staff to be sure we are ALL on the same page. He left and a few minutes later Dania said, "Ok we're going to walk to the surgery room" Eeek! We go in. A few people are in there. She announces, entering at 8:10. (remember I'd said to keep your phone a bit? So the waiting times between people were a bit of a gap where I sat alone with no phone haha) I climb up on the table and lay down. Someone takes my mask. Someone else comes in and introduces themself.I see my name on the whiteboard. Lots of white and lots of lights. I don't remember Dr Louton coming in but I remember being kind of up on my side and them saying OK now we wait a bit... (when the fill you with liquid you have a wait a while for the lipo) So the lipo is a bit uncomfy. Not terrible. Not scary. But you can feel some pushing and pulling if that makes sense. It's not terrible, but I wish I'd known! I remember it being over then waiting for the other side. I don't remember anything past the lipo.I remember waking up and asking Dania, "Am I done" She said, "Yep you're done!" So I said, "can I have a drink?" She said "pretty soon. When you quit slurring." I'm not sure if it was 30 seconds or 10 min but I remember talking some more and she said, "Ok you sound good now, let me get you that drink. " I chugged my ginger ale. I then remember her pulling my shirt out of my bag and looking a second at it. I said oh it zips. I grabbed it and put it on.And zipped it up. I remember her asking if i would be appalled if she put an adult diaper on me. Oh heck.. I don't care. Hint: take her up on this. Your back will run and run. No joke. She also tucked a chux up into them and up toward my back. Pro tip! Also when you use the restroom your back will run and run into the toilet. The next thing I remember is being in a wheelchair and my husband coming in. I looked up and smiled. They told him to get the car. We went out and I got into my explorer. Went back to the hotel. I texted my mom in the car, "I'm good!" Then we went to our room. This was by noonish/no later than one. we got me settled and he went to get us lunch. Brought me back a sheetz 6 inch sub. I ate it all. I watched tv. Napped. Played on my phone. Then dinner he brought us chipotle bowls. I ate about half. It tasted great! (you are on a clear diet the day before) Slept. Oh if you are short get yourself a step stool. The ONLY part that really hurt was getting in and out of bed. An accessible room may have been lower. But once I got home the step stool was so helpful. At the hotel I took my bed wedges from amazon. They were very helpful. BTW- They do a drainless TT here, which is fantastic. I'm on some FB groups for TT and those drains look dreadful. So after waking up we go to my one day PO.They have you go in the back door. I saw the assistant. She had been in there the day before but I didn't remember her. She opened my binder and took a pic. Went over instructions and said see ya in a week. Oh she also showed me my skin pics. woahh! We headed home. Got home and parked myself in my recliner. I would get up every hour or two, use the bathroom and do loops around my 1st floor. We slept in bed from night one. Again - step stool! I did ask my husband for the first night or two to help me sit up. You can kind of roll to your side and use your arms but it's so much easier if you have someone to pull you up. Showers, when I took my binder off it felt like my insides may fall out and my back felt like a jellyfish. I wondered how long this crazy feeling would last. Honestly a few days. After about a week and a half I was taking long hot relaxing showers. I took pain pills here and there through night 3. Day 4 I woke up and decided to just take tylenol. BTW- they have you walking upright day 2. Or at least trying. By day 3 I was mostly upright. Day 4 all the way up. I went in for my one week at 6 days. She took off the tape and put on brown tape instead. At 6 days PO I popped on the treadmill at 1 MPH for just a few minutes. I'm day 19. I walked 30 min at 3 mph today. My incision is nearly healed. I've had a really easy recovery. Days 1-3 were a bit uncomfy. Friday night I went for a ride with my husband to pick up food. Last week I found myself dancing in the kitchen without thinking about it. I feel really good! When I asked Tiffany at my first visit what they would tout as reasons for going there rather than to another Dr.Her reasons were of course their surgery center. That's actually a great point right now. Many hospitals are probably going to stop doing surgeries again for a while. Another eason she pointed out was that they have amazing recoveries. She wasn't kidding. Again, I'm on FB TT groups. Many women are not standing up straight at several week. Many are taking pain pills weeks out. Some are still on the recliner sleeping at 3 -4-5 weeks. My incision is healing really well. I definitely made the right choice. Updated on 9 Dec 2020: When I wrote my review, I didn't have time to add pics it's still early but I am thrilled already. I have hated my body for so long. I don't need to be "perfect " just more "normal". I will update after things settle more and also when I have a belly button

Nothing but great things to say! I love my results, great experience!

After a significant weight loss in my early 20s and several years of contemplating breast augmentation, I decided that this year I was going to finally take the plunge and have this procedure done. I scheduled my first consultation with Dr. Louton the day after New Years. I have to say that I was extremely nervous, but all that dissipated quickly after speaking with Dr. Louton and his staff (Consultation was located in the State College office) I felt very comfortable, all my questions were answered, and I was explained in detail what would be taking place. Scheduling was unbelievably easy, I was only able to take off work a specific week that month and there was actually an opening! Only days later I had scheduled the big day! I then ventured to the Altoona office for my postop appointment and the staff were just as warm and welcoming as they were in State College. Now I’m one month into my recovery and I am extremely happy with my results and my overall experience. Everything was just very easy to put plainly. I also had weekly appointments after my surgery so that Dr. Louton could make sure I was healing properly. They carefully explained what I needed to be doing, what I needed to stay away from and I honestly felt cared for. These people actually care about you and making sure you look and feel amazing.

He’s A Complete Gem

I’ve had multiple things done by him. I had a breast augmentation in October of 2017, recently liposculpture, lip injects and Botox. He is a gem. He’s also easy on the eyes ;).. anyway him and his staff are super professional and also kind. They do listen. He especially will tell you if you’re getting too much done and is always completely honest. - Sarah D (Karuna) Updated on 23 Feb 2019: Please view my photo below for review. I am beyond pleased with my lipo. Best procedure I’ve ever had done. My hip dips were horrible.. I was told swelling would take a while so I waited. Here I am now:

Absolutely Satisfied!!

I initially visited a plastic surgeon in Pittsburgh at the advice of a few friends and when I met with him I was satisfied with the appointment and wanted to schedule my surgery, however i was told that they would send me a quote in the mail and then I could schedule. 2 days later I decided to just schedule an appt. with Dr. Louton also for the sake of saying I got 2 different opinions. I was shocked beyond belief! My appt. in Pittsburgh was over in less than 30 minutes and that included the time I waited for him. From the time I walked into Dr. Louten’s office I felt welcomed even by the receptionist. Then the med tech took me back and spent so much time with me and explained everything so thoroughly and had me try different sizes of implants until I had a range I was comfortable with. Then Dr. Louton came in and again explained everything in detail about exactly what he would do and made sure I had no unanswered questions. He made me feel very comfortable and confident of my decision. I was there for over and hour and when I walked out of the exam room I knew exactly how the surgery would be done and what it would cost. Let me point out that NONE of that happened with the surgeon in Pittsburgh. When I walked out to the lady to check out I scheduled my surgery date and put my deposit down. I was absolutely certain that I wanted Dr. Louton and his team to do my surgery. When I went for my preppy appt. again was met with a smile at the front desk. The nurse again explained everything and made sure I had no questions. She explained the pre-op instructions. Please follow their instructions and supplement recommendations!! They really do help!! On the day of my surgery the surgery team was phenomenal and make you feel so at ease. And again Dr. Louton came in and assured me that he would do a wonderful job. Post op the day of the surgery was painful but after that it was pretty much status quo. The toughest part for me was trying to sleep in the recliner because you can’t lay flat. The drains were annoying but I’m so glad he puts those in because I’ve seen horror story hematomas that formed. I would not go to anyone e who doesn’t put the drains in post op. Then the stitches were removed. I had my surgery done in April and you literally cannot see the incision sites at all below my aereola. It does not even look like I had surgery. My breasts are perfect and natural looking. I am over 40 I was a padded 34B with no volume before. Now, a little over 3 months since the surgery I am a 34DD and they are perfect! They have dropped and settled wonderfully. I had 520cc silicone dual plane in each breast. I am so thankful I got that second opinion! If you think going to a big city PS is going to get you a better look you are sorely mistaken, Dr. Louton and his entire staff are awesome!

Perfect Breast Augmentation

I recently made the decision to have a breast augmentation after two years of consideration. After having a child and breastfeeding, my breasts looked deflated and lost all volume. I always had smaller breasts (except during pregnancy and breastfeeding) and when I lost the baby weight, they never returned to the perky, small and nice breasts. I made an appointment with Dr. Louton because I have seen him a couple times in the past and see his wife, Dr. Fanny, all the time. I loved the results that some of the other women were getting on Real Self. My first appointment was a very thorough appointment and made me feel like I was making the right decision. My surgery dye was set in a timely fashion. My second appointment was the pre-op appointment and the nurse will do a complete health history and provide detailed instructions on what you need to do to prep for this surgery and the post-op directions as well. Next was surgery day, I was so nervous and excited at the same time! All of the staff at Blair Plastic Surgery reassured me that everything will be great and that I would be safe. The surgery went as planned and I woke up in recovery. The nurse helped me to get myself ready to leave for home and recover. She also provided good instructions for my husband to assist in the aftercare. My first day was hell, I was in pain and just couldn’t seem to get comfortable. I took the meds prescribed and fell asleep that night. I woke up the next day and felt better, each day kept getting better and easier. I had two JP drains and when they were removed on day 4, I felt better than ever. They’re uncomfortable but so necessary to your recovery and results. Immediately after surgery, my breasts looked amazing!! They turned out exactly as I had hoped for and I truly feel like Dr. Louton nailed it!! He asked me about my expectations and wishes before surgery and had me provide photos of breasts that I liked the look of and we decided what I wanted and what to expect. I think this is a crucial step to achieving your desired results. I’m now day 10 post op and my breasts just keep getting better. They’re settling more each day and they look so natural! I got 450cc silicone Natrelle Inspira implants placed in the submuscular dual plane position via periareolar area. Today I will get my stitches removed and I think that any scarring will be minimal or unnoticeable. I was barely a 34B and recently got refitted and measured for my bra size and am a 34DD! I feel so much more confident, feminine and beautiful! The only thing I would change is not getting this surgery done sooner! I’m so glad that Dr. Louton and Dr. Fanny provide such great services to this area!!

29 Yrs, 5'4", 119lb, 415cc, Dual Plane

After three children and ten years of marriage I felt it was time to splurge on myself. I got married with a 38C, after my first child Mother Hood Maternity didn't even carry a bras large enough when I was best feeding to fit. Two more children later, all breast fed, you could say that I was lacking in the chest department when I recently landed at a 36 A. Thankfully I did not need a lift though! After meeting multiple surgeons; I fell in love with Dr Louton from Blair Plastic Surgery in Altoona. I honestly can't say enough good things so far. He took all the time I needed, never rushed and even mapped out the procedure explaining all risks and why he does everything the way he does. The staff all around won me over and I just knew it had to be them. With my 10 year vote renewal coming up they got me in for all my appointments and surgery within a weeks period. My anxiety was through the roof going into everything due to the restrictions of arms during recovery due to having three children ages 9, 6 and 4 (my special needs little one) as well a Irving and running a farm. But they have been phenomenal in answering every one of my questions and taking care of me so far during recovery. Day one after surgery I had some issues with my muscles over Contracting and causing an excruciating amount of pain. Dr Louton got me in today in between other procedures to make sure there was no internal bleeding and prescribed me a muscle relaxer; which has helped immensely. I go in on Thursday to have drains removed as my bleeding has been minimum and discharge through my drains is looking great. Looking at my breasts I am already in love. I will keep updating as I continue to heal. During my consultation we had looked at everything from 300cc up to 550 CC. Though during surgery my final results ended up in a 415 cc. Dr louton went through the nipple with a smooth round silicone gel, using the dual plane incision and positioning route. Updated on 23 Mar 2018: I must apologize for the previous typos and auto correct. That's what I get for posting after taking a Valium. Though either way, things are still going great. I had a bit more bleeding from my right side then they would have liked to see; so my drains came out today (Friday). One word.... OUCH! Lol. I was not prepared for that, however I do feel much better now that they have been removed. I will take new photos one I hop in the shower and get them cleaned up a bit. Stitches come out on the second. I did forget to mention that he was able to go through my nipples to complete my BA. Graphic drain photos.
