I consulted with several surgeons before finding Dr. Calabria, and I knew immediately that he was the one that was going to perform my lower facelift. Dr. Calabria is a true artist and a master of his craft. I had zero bruising, minimal swelling, and I was doing school runs and errands 5 days post op. I am a few days before my 45th b day. I did a mini-facelift “hybrid” the hybrid part included part of my neck and an upper bleph. I am very happy with the placement of the cuts and the quality of the stitches. Just waiting for the swelling to go away so I can see the final result! I felt very comfortable and he has a great bedside manner.

Wanted to add before pics. This clearly shows the loose skin and lines that I was looking to eliminate. I’ll update new after pics tomorrow. I am feeling much better today and have a follow up appointment with Dr Calabria tomorrow.

Day 6. Swelling still going down. I have some yellow bruising but, went out to dinner anyway. Dr told me to start wearing a sling under my chin at night to help with swelling in that area. Still really happy but am having a hard time not running/ exercising.

Slow healing process. I am very happy with how things are progressing but, am frustrated with the need to “slow down” and recover. Things are still a little bumpy and uneven (swelling). The only pain I have left is behind my left ear. Hoping that resolves soon.

I like to share my recent expérience with Dr Calabria as I noticed different points of views about the surgeon.
I had my mini face lift on 6 November 2022 in Dubai, with Dr Calabria.
I am now day five and the swilling is gone and I can see the results.
I am 45 and the mini lift just gave me fresher and younger look. Lifting of the eyebrows, gave a nice opening to my my eyes, which I always wanted to have.
I did not have any bruises at any time of the recover, my ears are still in place and no deformity at all, stitches are very tiny and well done.

8 days from my operation, swelling is gone away mostly but still my face did not settle yet.
Bruising did not développe at any time after the operation.
I took care of the incisions as per dr instructions, showering, drying and applying antibiotics.
still part of my face is numb, some parts in my head are numb and I expect it to vanish in few of days.
Thé incisons on my ears start to heal and my ears did not torn or change
I would say that the result as per now is exactly what I wanted , fresher and younger . If you can notice from my older photos my cheeks were saggy and around my mouth was some extra skin or fat that I could not hide.
Certainly I am planning for a neck lift during dr next visits to Dubai to remove the double chin and get the complete look.
I hope this help any one looking for having a face lifting to look better with the best facelift doctor so far I met.

I failed to attach photos to the previous reviews, then here is few photos of before and after, showing area which I wanted to lift ( saggy cheeks) which seem to be flat, now I can see my cheekbones and the saggy area around my mouth is more firm and the extra skin is pulled away.
Incisions around my ears are healing well and I am expecting it to be invisible from what I see. The incisions behind my ears are not very visible and I don’t expect anyone to notice , I never put my hair pony tail so that’s is not an issue to me .
I do t think I could be happier with the symmetry of my face, the lifting of my eyebrow which opened my eyes and the extra skin on my lids seems ti be more pulled away and can’t wait to have my make up on.

Background: I have gotten some fillers in my cheekbone area and they helped a little but I was not 100% happy. After lots and lots of research and self-education (I’m a RN), I realized I needed to lift my cheeks and not fill them as my face is already “full.” But the problem was so many doctors would say I’m “too young” for a facelift (33 y/o) and should do fillers/Botox/threads ect. I knew they were wrong because of my extensive research...That’s when I came across Dr. Calabria. I followed him casually on IG for quite sometime as his work is beautiful and more importantly, natural looking. When I saw that he said “Threads don’t work,” I knew this man was an expert. Plus his amazing work spoke for itself. I decided to not think about it any longer and make a Skype consultantion with him. He suggested I get what he calls the “one-stitch modified face lift.”
Cost: Everything I needed including round trip plane tickets from Chicago to LAX, Airbnb for 4 days, Uber rides, Pre-Op Labs, and total cost of the procedure/operation room cost came out to be around $15,000.
Results: I am not exaggerating when I say I am the happiest girl in the world! I look in the mirror and can’t believe my face from 10 years ago is back. And I know it’s just going to get better with time as it heals. What more amazing is NOBODY can tell what I did. Even after less than 2 weeks after my procedure, I have very minimal swelling, no pain (the only real pain was when I got my stitches out) no bruising, and I can feel my nerves growing back which feels like a tingling sensation.
Tips for others: DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT pick a surgeon based on price. The best ones are not cheap and shouldn’t be. You have to pay for quality work so save up for the best or don’t do it at all. Save money by staying in an AirBnB instead of a hotel and travel during the week to save on airfare.
Don’t listen to those doctors that say you are “too young.” I’m sooo glad I didn’t otherwise I wouldn’t get to experience having the face of a 20 y/o at 33 if I did. Every person is different in what they need, so do your own research beforehand and only go to the best...Aka Dr. Calabria.

I am seeing the full results and they are pretty subtle compared to when I first got it done. Is this a complaint? No, because I would rather the results be less noticeable than obvious. I do have a pixie ear but it doesn’t bother me. My neck and jaw line looks amazing from all the extra skin he removed. My scaring is healing nicely and becoming less pink every day. Overall, I’m still very happy!

Any kind of improvement to my face I no longer see. (Minus the neck skin- that is nice to have gone) Not sure if this is common, but I guess it is better than looking overdone. I feel as if I look like I did before I got the procedure. I’m guessing some light fillers is needed to achieve the look I desire.

Ugh. Trying to fight against Father Time is expensive and never ending :(

I don’t regret getting this done but I think I would be happier with the results if I waited until I was older?

Ok, I finally got the courage up to do my face!! I'm sooooo pleased with the results. This is my third procedure with Dr. Calabria (I did my breasts and another very small procedure). Totally amazing results. I was so nervous to do this. I had seen his work though because I know several people who have had their faces done by him so I had a lot to go on. It's still a scary decision! I'm about four months out and I couldn't be happier! I wish I'd done this five years ago and had not been such a chicken. The recovery was a bit easier than I expected too. Lots of swelling but not nearly as much pain as I thought there would be! At the most, I was uncomfortable for the first few days but then it was just dealing with the swelling and the my healing in incisions. By the end of two weeks I looked quite presentable. It took several weeks for all the swelling to go down, but I didn't expect to be completely healed in two weeks. Hey, you can't get results like this without some healing - it is surgery after all. But wow!! I'm on cloud nine!

I read a lot of article in RealSelf and they helped me a lot in the whole process, so I thought I will share mine.

I am 45 years old, I am not sure if it is a bit young to get this kind of procedure. I lost 35 pounds in the past year by myself with no help, maybe my diet was not well balanced. Not sure. I really didn't like what I saw in the mirror every morning. I had jowls, I looked alway unhappy as the corner of my mouth was drooping, I think I looked older than I was. I live in Los Angeles, and had my procedure done in Beverly Hills.

After over a year of research and few years of saving. I found who would be the best surgeon for me. The cost I mention includes full neck and facelift. Also includes operating room, Anesthesia. I also had the tip of my nose reduced which is not counted in there (another 6K). I also spent one night in a specialised clinic.

It has been almost 3 months now since my surgery. The swelling is almost completly gone, though the whole process seems to take for ever, but I read lot of reviews here on Realself and it depends on people, it is never as fast as one may want.

I still have a tiny bit of numbness on both sides by the upper cheeks, eyes and to the hairline.

My cheeks are very flat and I looked at some pics of myself 20 years ago and I never had big cheeks but I am thinking of getting a bit of filler in them at least to make them more even. One being bigger than the other. I am also hoping it will help with the "bump" that I have just under the right cheek, I thought it was part of the jowls (not sure how to call it) but it is still there. I slep on that side so it could be due to that.
