I heard a lot of positive things about my doctor through family and friends. When I met him in person he had the perfect combination of confidence and cockiness, and I love that. He explained the procedure in a way that I understood completely what he would be doing. I'm excited and ready!Updated on 20 Feb 2017: Tomorrow I go in for my history and physical. I don't have to start my 2 week high protein low carb diet until next week but I have cut out sodas and sugary drinks. Crystal light it is. Here are my current photos!Updated on 21 Feb 2017: Just went for my pre-op testing. I had a chest x-ray and an EKG. They gave me chewable vitamins and a pop quiz! I'm cleared for surgery! Feeling excited...and nervous. My EGD is scheduled for next week. I've had one before so I'm sure that things will be routine. I've started on the diet sorta I don't really have to start until next week. Just trying to prepare myself for the lifestyle change.Updated on 23 Feb 2017: Ok...so they forgot to do my blood work the other day. So I had that done yesterday. Then they called me today and informed me that I have outstanding hospital bills...needless to say God was on my side hospital debt cleared. AmenUpdated on 28 Feb 2017: Went for my EGD today...the Doctor said that it went easy. While in my stomach he found a polyp he sent it for a biopsy. Everything's a go for surgery 13 days and counting. Started my liquid yesterday...it's hard to say the least.Updated on 18 Mar 2017: Well I thought that I would have done an update early on but this was major surgery. Each day I am reminded just how much my body has been through. I am 5 days post-op and ran some errands yesterday needless to say I had to stop early. So far I've lost 8 lbs. This is a true process. I'm not up to taking pictures. A little tired today.Updated on 28 May 2017: This road is rocky...I have good days and bad. Three hardest was the liquid diet right after. I just wanted to chew so bad...but now I feel d so much better muy current weight is 211...i can my old clothes. It feels wonderful but some days solid food just don't agree... today is one of those days.. I have not experienced any real dumping????????????
