Hi you guys! Like most, I've always wanted VSG since 19 when I stepped foot on my college campus. Everyone else was relatively slim and then there was me 210 lbs at 5'2. I didn't have insurance so I considered going to Mexico to Dr. Maytorena. I was a freshman at college with no car and no stable job 9 hours from home so that was definitely a no-go. Fast forward to 2020. I'm now 22 and have a stable job and insurance (BCBS of AL) with no kids or spouse. In 2018, I ended up losing 60 lbs from 210 lbs and got down to 159 lbs, but I only managed to keep 10 lbs off. As of today I am 200 lbs and my BMI is 36.7. I’m sick of the yo-yo dieting and am ready to live out the rest of my 20s the right way with this sleeve. I don’t want to make this post too long, so I’ll add more info into future posts.

My surgeon’s office sent my paperwork off Thursday, 2/18, and I got approved Monday 2/22. I can feel the butterflies lol. My surgery is scheduled on March 12.

I’ve had a very slow weight loss. I’m currently 10 months post op, down 51 pounds and currently weigh 149 lbs. I’m 5’3.
