Ramin Behmand, MD, FACS

I live in Washington, DC, and when I turned 61, I went to Franklin, Tennessee, to see Dr. Ramin Behman for a facelift. Twenty years earlier, when I was 40 years old, he'd done my eyes. At that time, he practiced in Northern California, where I lived. I had been told he was talented by a surgeon I trusted. I loved the results and healed quickly without any complications. Recently, at age 60, I decided I wanted a facelift, but I was pretty nervous about it. The safety part worried me, and I was concerned about looking natural without looking like my skin had been stretched and tugged. I was also worried about a mistake being made, because how could I live with looking odd, and I didn’t want to have to undergo any revisions. Since I couldn’t find Dr. Behman in California, I searched all over the country for him and found that he had relocated his practice to Franklin, Tennessee. I visited him there for a consult and was delighted to find him flourishing while opening his new practice. He remembered me immediately. A few weeks later, I returned to see him for the following procedures: eyes again (upper and lower lids), eyebrow lift, turkey neck, and my cheeks - he did a fat transfer to them. Once again, and as hoped, I healed very quickly, with no complications. I cannot express how happy I am with the results. I cannot see any scars, and my nerves in my face feel totally normal. I feel like I look “like myself” again - just my younger self. My face and neck look entirely natural to me, and 6 weeks later, friends, family, and acquaintances tell me I look great. They often ask if I’ve been on vacation or am well rested. No one has guessed that I had any work done on my face at all. I love Dr. Behman. Not only is he an expert plastic surgeon, but he’s kind and easy to talk to - also incredibly empathetic. Conversing with him is delightful and reassuring. If I ever need anything else done, I will return to him. I recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation. Really, I hope more people visit his practice so that his new location is successful - you will be thrilled if you are one of them.

Anyone who gets the chance to meet and get services from Dr Behmand is blessed and in good hands. He wears his heart on his sleeve and connects with his patients. I did a lot of research before hand when deciding on a doctor for my breast augmentation surgery. Dr. Behmand stood out, because of his very natural looking results, especially on smaller woman, great reviews, and credentials. I am 5'6", 115-120 lbs and was concerned with my implants looking fake and too noticeable. I called Dr. Behmand's office before hand to learn more about the procedure, costs, recovery, etc. His nurse, Patti, answered all my questions and was very kind! I was able to get in for a consultation the next day. When we arrived, my fiancé and I immediately felt comforted, informed, and excited! He never pressured me to go with a certain size or implant or anything during the process. We never felt rushed with all of our questions, as he really took the time to understand my goals and concerns. They were able to book me in for surgery as soon as I wanted and had lots of flexibility as well. Everything about the process, costs, and recovery were very clear to us. This was super helpful as I am only one week post surgery and all of the things I am experiencing (tightness, soreness, etc.) are comforting to know we discussed it all before hand and are normal. this was my first venture into cosmetic work and I jumped in with both feet! facelift,necklift,lower eye, forehead shortening and fat transfer. total surgery time was over 8 hours and the entire thing went flawlessly. recovery was shockingly easy, I'd expected a good deal more pain. had some discomfort but never needed any pain meds. healing was interesting, every day looked different. thankfully was warned so I didn't freak out. only issue I had was while the liposuction for the fat transfer....ouch. had a day I couldn't walk but even that resolved the next day. a year has gone by and I continue to be thrilled with the results. Updated on 23 Nov 2019: I'm female a had an extremely high forehead, was very out of balance. I had a face and neck lift, lower eyelids and forehead shortening. the results are fantastic. the lowered forehead made an enormous difference. the scar initially was fairly noticeable but today its difficult to spot. still have a bit of patchy numbness, most of the numbness cleared in about 6 months.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Behmand and his wonderful staff. He did a gorgeous job with my breast implants. They look so beautiful, feel completely natural, and are honestly a dream come true. I’m over a year post op and I could not be more pleased. I consulted with Dr. Behmand for quite a while and we analyzed carefully the results of my bbl (performed in Palo Alto) with which I am somewhat unhappy. Bbl is a complicated procedure involving both lipo and fat transfer (both of which will affect your results). I drove quite a long way to consult with Dr. Behmand because I could tell from his website, he has a good eye with both lipo and fat transfer. Dr. Behmand's bbl results are what I was looking for. I have also consulted several other doctors regarding my concerns (including three doctors in Beverly Hills). Dr. Behmand is the most honest doctor with whom I have met. He is also the first doctor who talked me out doing of further work. I have decided not to do a bbl revision - and I feel good about the decision at this point. The strange thing is that a month ago, I was ready to put down another $16K and get myself into a big scar. What Dr. Behmand did (that no other doctor has done so far) was help me view the situation in terms of the long term. I am 52, in great athletic shape, and look good right now. I just wasn't seeing that with any of my other consultations (and I definitely could not see that myself). Any reduction in fat will change that and may look worse later. A change in buttock shape could be disastrous (and I really don't want to get into that situation). Anyway, talking me out of surgery was directly against his own business interest, but I now agree it is my best course of action. He also took pictures and showed me what he meant (in a positive, kind and straight-forward way). I don't know how he did it exactly but I walked out of there feeling pretty good about how I look right now and my ultimate decision not to do anything at all. (I do wish he had done my original bbl, though :)
