Dr. Koch is an excellent surgeon and I will recommend him to anyone. He did such a great job. I was under local anesthesia and I felt no pain at all. When I'm ready I will use him for my mini face lift. I'm very happy with the results. Also the staff is amazing at Elite MD. They cared about me and helped me get through my very first surgery. I truly felt like they were family !! Thank u guys for all of your support????
I had mini face lift with Dr. James Koch last June22 at his Elite MD Spa located in Danvile, California. The procedure was amazing, no pain at all. I did not take pain pills after the procedure. The 2nd day, I came back to change the bandage. My husband and I were both amazed when the bandage was taken off, my face looks so good already, no more saggy skin in my chin and my jaw, my neck looks sooo good, wrinkles are gone. He is a gifted PS. I absolutely love the result of the mini face lift procedure. I went for another consultation yesterday in the clinic where I've met an elderly woman (she's with her son), a patient of Dr. Koch. She's scheduled for mini face lift also. I was introduced to her by Dr. Bansal, I asked her if she would like to see my before picture. Juliet, one of my favorite MA took us to the room to see my before picture on the computer. The mother and son were amazed! The son even make a comment to me, "you look like a teenager," (luv his comments, he made my day, lol) and told his mother, "sold." I love you Dr. Koch!
Hello and thank you for your question. This is a question that has been professionally debated since the ‘90s. The basic difference is that a traditional Deep Plane, while elevating beneath the SMAS layer, leaves most of the skin attached to the SMAS. This allows a relatively thick flap to be pulled as a unit. A SMAS based technique usually releases the fibrous attachments between skin and SMAS so that the two layers can be pulled in different directions. I prefer the latter as it allows a more vertical pull on the SMAS; this vector repositions against the descent of soft tissue which occurs with aging. Having a separate skin layer allows this to be pulled superolaterally for trimming and suturing around the ear for concealment.I recommend seeking out a consultation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question. To create a sharper jawline, a facelift is usually the best option. A “double chin” is usually best addressed by neck liposuction and the “neck lift” part of the facelift to remove excess skin. Most facelifts will not get rid of the nasolabial folds but may indirectly soften them. I usually recommend that patients get the facelift first and then augment the remaining folds with autologous fat or other soft tissue fillers.I recommend seeking out a consultation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question.Short answer is that it depends on the type of suture used. In the hidden area directly behind the ear (post-auricular sulcus), I use absorbable sutures that dissolve in a couple of weeks so that the ear does not need to be pulled for suture removal. They dissolve on their own and any loose pieces can be removed or trimmed once the area is healed.I recommend seeking out a consultation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question. We tell patients that 8 – 10 years is a reasonable expectation with our SMAS-based facelift. In some patients it may be more or less depending on the quality of the skin and SMAS layer. I recomend seeking out a consultation with a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.
Thank you for your question and sharing your concerns. In the absence of complications, I recommend waiting 9-12 months before considering a revision facelift. If things do not improve and you still think your face seems “wider”, then the revision may incorporate a more vertical SMAS layer pull for a more natural anti-aging/ anti-gravity effect. Regarding the skin, there is a place for a “short incision facelift” in properly selected patients. However, if you still have significant face or neck skin laxity then more traditional incisions should be used to remove this. I recommend seeking out a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon for any further conultations.
