I will be turning 50 end of July after have the sleeve done in 2013 and keeping off over 130 pounds I decided that my apron was stopping me from enjoying the success of the weight loss had consult in March tried the insurance route with no success so my husband and I decided to self pay. I've been wanting a breast reduction since early high school and after two years of research and planning I had it done last week. Dr Tu in OKC did an excellent job and the staff at Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma were very friendly and comforting. I was fine without painkillers within a few days and can already see that I'm much happier. I won't know the final size until everything has healed and swelling goes down. I went home within an hour of waking up from surgery.

I just had my consultation today they were so nice & helpful. I'm 5'4 195, 3yrs old & the mother of 3. I've been a DD forever I developed young & they went from nothing to way more than I could handle over night! I've had horrible back, neck d shoulder pain for a long time. Now it's so bad I've been getting injections & they've burned some of the nerves, but the back Dr referred me to a ps & said with all the problems I have the insurance wool probably cover
LESSON LEARNED
LESSON LEARNED. I read Dr. Tu's reviews about his staff Lynette and proceeded to schedule my emergent surgery anyway. I am suffering from silicone toxicity (Breast Implant Illness) and my health is declining daily. I consulted with Dr. Tu. about a total capsulectomy and implant removal. I scheduled with Lynette and it was all down hill from there. I was not advised of basic pre-op requirements that could have affected my surgery, phone calls & questions were ignored for weeks.
They blew me off
I consulted Dr. Tu for a breast reduction. I waited an hour, from the time of my appointment, till I saw him. He went through a routine examination, but it felt pretty minimal. Since I'd read good reviews of him, I went ahead and asked them to apply for authorization from my insurer, Cigna. Some time later, I received a letter from Cigna rejecting the application. I called the office, speaking to Laurette. What can we do? I asked. She didn't say anything. I kept trying to get

I Had a Breast Reduction with a Nipple Graft 9 Days Ago.
I had a breast reduction with a nipple graft 9 days ago. My stiches and the bandages around my areola were removed today. My new areola is much darker than my old one and I have either breast tissue and fat on the side of my breast. I can't see where my breast ends on the side. At my 1 week follow up appointment I asked my surgeon if it was breast tissue or fat and he stated that it was a combination of both. This really puzzles me. Reduction Finally Within Reach - Oklahoma City, OK
I am 5'5, 138lbs, and DD cup size. I have had large breasts as far back as I can remember. I am hoping to become a small C. I have a small frame so I think this size will look good on me. I have the rashes, bra strap indentations, bruising on rib cage from wires, and irritation from having to wear two bras when doing anything active. Will continue to update as it gets closer to the 25th. Updated on 12 Mar 2014: Today is March 12, 2014. My reduction is scheduled for the 25th.
