From the first consultation to the final follow-up visit, Dr. Puri and his staff were kind, thorough and showed great compassion for me. He took the time to answer all of my questions and reassure me that I was in good hands. I feel like my younger self again. I cannot thank you enough for caring and helping me feel good about myself again. Thank you so much for caring and going above and beyond with my care and with the insurance company. It is sincerely appreciated! I am overjoyed with the results of my tummy tuck and breast lift.
Dr, Puri removed ruptured breast implants done by another physician. He did a great job with very little pain and no additional scarring. Would like to go back and have him do a revision of the poor mastopexy I received and correct the mismatched sizes of the areoles. Updated on 5 May 2022: Finally returned for the mastopexy. 4 weeks out. Looking fabulous! He did transfer some fat from the sides, which ultimately gave me some breast tissue. I'll see him in 3 more weeks. I am surprised at the great aftercare from Dr. Puri personally. I feel better and look better.
Having been very active in my youth-- with competitive sports --swimming was always my first love, and running came in second. When I married and started a family all my activities halted., I was 118 lbs after the birth of my first child in my early 20's , by my second child 6 yrs later, my weight was 160 lbs- at 5 ft 2 in. Through the years I reached an all time high weight of 234lbs. In 2013. , I had a health scare, and turned my life around-- went on GF and anti-inflammatory diet and, as the weight came off, I got back to the sports I love-- competitive swimming-- joined a MAsters swim team and Senior swim team. I joined a gym, got a personal trainer , in 1yr I qualified in 5 events swimming for National Senior Olympics July 2015! I did my first triathelon and came in first in my age group! And lost 103 lbs during he course of my 18 months of dieting and training-- the most amazing surprise is the incredible energy I have!! I haven't felt this full of life in 3 decades!! Now time for the new body to go with the new me!! My Body Lift is scheduled for Jan 5, 2015. I'm so glad I have this site to refer to and to know what to expect. I've spent hours reading everyone's experiences. I've been a peri operative nurse for almost 40 yrs, yet there's so much I've discovered about my procedure(s), regarding what to expect post op. I'm 6 wks post op blepharoplasty and mastopexy, and I praise my masterful plastic surgeon, Dr Pravin Puri-- every time I look in a mirror! I'm excited to be done with "phase 2" of he new me. I've posted the " before pictures" of what 103 lbs of loose skin looks like: Updated on 22 Sep 2015: My error-- my surgery is scheduled for Jan 5 , 2016. Sorry for typo. I'll update closer to that time Updated on 8 Nov 2015: 8 wks before my circumfrential abdominoplasty. Can't hardly wait! So ready to be rid of playdough skin. Updated on 23 Dec 2015: Less than 2 wks to go before my procedure. Getting excited and anxious-- had my preop appt, with hospital and Dr Puri. All instructions covered , filled prescriptions. Have my surgery team set up. WOW , can't believe this is really going to happen! I'm having some emotional moments, I'm hoping this is normal. I'll keep you posted Updated on 6 Jan 2016: I'm amazed how good I feel! Thought it would be much worse-- already up and doing laps around nursing station. Being discharged later this afternoon. Posting some photos below Updated on 7 Jan 2016: dressings removed , first shower since surgery Updated on 8 Jan 2016: stopped taking narcotic pain pills since I came home PO day1-- using plain tylenol -- more concerned about constipation. seems I'm more swollen , crampy-/ sent my husband out to get enemas. I've been using stool softeners and laxatives, thats probably whats causing the rumbling and cramping---- but finaly, about 1a i had success--Now, that was uncomfortable trying to bear down w my new muscles! overall, the pain is toerable--- but the constipation , to me, is the worst discomfort. Updated on 9 Jan 2016: photo taken July 2013, wt 234lb, 5ft 2in, BMI 43 Updated on 9 Jan 2016: taken Jan 6, 2016, weight 124 lb, 5ft 2 in Updated on 14 Jan 2016: Out to lunch w girlfriend, able to drive since 7 days postop, put into abdominal binder-- need to wear 24/7 for 4 wks. My dr didn't want to use any compressing garment initially because he said that compromises circulation to the incisions that are trying to revascularize-- my incisions are closed all the way around, and look good. I posted my before photos and some I took today. I still can't believe the difference. Still swollen quite a bit, but amazing! Updated on 16 Jan 2016: My results are miraculous, more than I expected! Dr Puri is a Master in his field, soooo skilled! Has an excellent bedside manner, and is meticulous in his pre and post op care. Updated on 19 Jan 2016: Still lots swelling that's worse at night . More energy everyday. Updated on 26 Jan 2016: Each day I marvel in my transformation , I hardly can believe this new body is mine! I must've been the most perfect body he's ever created!! And I'm still swollen ! Hope to get my drains out in 3 days, they're hardly putting out much drainage. I am so blessed to have been led to Dr Puri Updated on 28 Jan 2016: With all this down time, while recuperating , I've been able to get to a few projects-- one of them , being--- organizing old family photos that I've had in boxes since my mom passed away 3 yrs ago . I found an old photo of myself at 16 y/o -- it took my breath away when I realized my Dr Puri gave me the gift of that body , again. ! I'm so blessed to tears. Am I the only one that's so emotional lately? I'm going to blame the anesthesia, lol I posted 16 and 61 new body Updated on 29 Jan 2016: Only my rt drain removed :( Still putting out too much drainage in lt drain. 1 more week! Updated on 18 Feb 2016: Last drain finally removed yesterday, still wearing abdominal binder day and night, due to lower abdominal swelling. No pain or discomfort. Plan on going back to work full time in 11 days. Swelling aside, I love the results. Updated on 29 Feb 2016: It felt good being back at work, I missed everyone. But at the end of my 12.5 hr shift, most of which,I'm on my feet-- lots of swelling-- even extending up past my naval-- looked like I have a pouch. My energy was good, though. I guess that's what is called swell hell? I wore my compression garment. When I got home I reclined w my abdominal binder on. I suppose it'll be like this a while. Updated on 6 Apr 2016: I love my new body! It doesn't feel like this new figure is mine-- very pleased! Still swollen in lower abdomen and pubic mound-- but less than a month ago. Still wearing my Spanx during the day. Updated on 10 Apr 2016: Some photos, that are better quality, than I posted and removed--- still moderate swelling, more puffiness on my rt hip area-- that I hope will resolve by 6 months or sooner Updated on 9 Jun 2016: Very pleased w my results. Considering Thermitight for my thighs in the future. Updated on 25 Jul 2016:
103 lb weight loss over 18 months, sagging breasts, heavy eye lids and lower lid edema. My eyes were the first noticed by family and friends--- unanimously, they thought I had dark or brown eyes, prior to surgery. Mild itchiness on lower lids from sutures, relieved with cool moist compresses. My breasts were raised to heights they haven't seen since the 80's--very pleased with results-- Mild stingy sensation along breast suture lines, took a total of 2 of the prescribed oral narcotic within the first 12 hrs. Did not need anything else for pain . I'm planning on having abdominoplasty in the next few months, and I feel confident of the expertise and care that I will receive from Dr Puri. Updated on 27 Aug 2015: No pain , healing well, massaging bilat outer corners of eyes to lessen scarring/ Breasts incisions mostly closed-- inverted t incision last to close, but all looks good Awaiting for insurance reply to cover pannulectomy -- then will schedule circumferential abdominoplasty and lipo-- Updated on 27 Aug 2015: 61 y/o female, current weight 131 lb, 5 ft 2 in. Updated on 16 Oct 2015: I an so delighted that I had this procedure done. My breasts look 18 again, the lipo and extension of lateral suture lines has sleekened both flanks!! I would've done this sooner if I knew that this would get my husband of 35 yrs to react so favorably. The extra attention is such a boost , for both of us!! Best money I ever spent!! Updated on 16 Oct 2015: My eyes are so large and bright, Has made my face more youthful. I think I might put off my facelift for another year and half. God Bless Dr Puri for his talent!!! I love this forum for expressing myself!! I work professionally with my Dr ( 15-20 yrs) and do not feel comfortable saying all these gushy things to him-- so I hope he reads these reviews ! Updated on 1 Mar 2016: Love my big eyes, so glad I did this Updated on 6 Apr 2016: Have to admit that I'm pleased w the lift, now researching possible fat transfer for upper pole fullness.
After having 3 kids each 1.5 years apart and 3 c sections it was time to repair my belly. I was seriously shocked at the extent of pain for the full tummy tuck with muscle repair. Like holy cow! That first 10 days was a killer for me. I felt helpless. As I'm approaching the 3 week mark still pain not as significant. Cant wait for the day to cough and sneeze without it hurting. Results are to be waited as the swelling is still in the lower abs. Waiting on that body like I had before children.
I completely regret going to this doctor. My stomach looks deformed and so uneven now. He said I needed a tummy tuck after I had lipo. Why didn't he tell me that before? I think he's trying to blame it on something instead of owning up to his mistake. He said he took off about 3 liters of fluid. I did not lose any weight after surgery. How is that possible? Each liter should weight 2.2 pounds. So I went thru the pain and emptied my pocketbook and in exchange I have a stomach I am more ashamed of than before. The fat is still there and it looks awful and lumpy.
Massive weight loss (110 lb) by diet and exercise. I'm 6 months postop mastopexy and bilateral upper and lower blepharoplasty and 7 wks postop lower body lift. My final phase, I'm going to try to have done Jan 2017. Saw my PS today we discussed this procedure while I was getting my clearance from my LBL. I will see him July 8th 2016 to go over all the details and photos of my future procedure and may schedule my medial thigh lift at that time depending on how far out his schedule goes.Updated on 23 Mar 2016: Consult today to see Dr Joseph Berenholz for Thermi tight for my thighs-- maybe that will be enough to tighten up the skin--? Get rid of crepe look and tighten loose skin around knees? Thinking about it-- if it works it will save me from another big surgery with groin incisions and 6 wks off from work. I'll keep you posted. This is all a work in progress.Updated on 9 Mar 2017: Had many other consults about what my next plan of action should be-- and decided to go with decompression liposuction of thighs and a few months later have an extended thigh lift.. made a new post about this procedure
