I am a 53 female of Afro-Caribbean decent. I have struggled with issues of weight since my mid teens. I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. I decided to have the Sleeve done because of varied number of health issues the worst for me being diabetes. Though I have always been overweight I have always been healthy, but in the last 12 to 14 months there has been a down hill slide where my health is concerned. So far I've decided to go ahead and have the gastric sleeve done..I'm not nervous just ready...April 11th here I come. My main goal is to lose size and ultimately become healthier by changing my eating altogether which I've already started to do. My goal is health period... I can say that I know for a fact that this will be the beginning to a new way of living and I'm all in. After spending countless money trying to lose weight, I have been going through all the preliminaries to finally get a date for Feb 5th 2016.
