Hi, Realself has been instrumental through this process so I've decided to document my upcoming surgery. Anchor Breast lift +nipple downsize+ 400cc implants. My only real concerns are to hopefully maintain breast and nipple symmetry, heal smoothly and not lose a nipple. Though I highly doubt that would happen, surgeries always carry inherent risks. I will update my progress to better help others understand what the process might look like for them (with said, everyone's journey is unique to them) I've done my research and fully believe in the capabilities and artistry of the doctor I've carefully chosen. Super anxious for my surgery but also excited. Updated on 17 Mar 2023: Hi there! Little update on how the past 4 days has gone. Day 1: Surgery day went incredibly smooth! :) the Doctors and Nurses at the surgical center were amazing. I went to sleep and awoke with what was expected. A lot of pressure on my chest accompanied by moderate pain. 6>8 on pain scale. Day 2: loads of pressure like pain, the pain medication was definitely necessary. I stayed on schedule from day 1. One pain pill every 6>8hrs. The pain and pressure was at a 3 or 4 while laying down in recliner and would shoot up to a 7>9 whenever I would stand to walk/use restroom. Day 3: feeling much better, 50% of pain and swelling subsided :) decided to discontinue pain pills and see how it goes. The withdrawal from only 3 days of oxy was horrendous. Super nauseous. pain is manageable with tylenol. Took first sitting shower(daughter helped) felt good to be clean Day 4: still bit nauseous but doing much better! Taking nothing for pain and up and walking as much as possible. Still very swollen so icing every few hours for 20 mins.
This site really helped me read others stories and prepare for my surgery so I thought I’d post to help others with their decisions. I’ve been wanting a BA since my late teens! I wanted to wait until after I was done having kids. (1) I was never really able to even fill an A cup bra so it was about time! I was planning to fly to New York for my procedure but it was easier to get the help I needed from friends by staying local. I looked and researched as many surgeons in the state to find who I felt was the best. After much research, Dr. Sonderman was my choice and I’m glad I chose him and his team. They are professional, straight forward and answered every single question I had. I was planning on only doing 300-350cc and glad I didn’t! I went with Dr. Sonderman’s recommendation and we played around with different sizes. I couldn’t be any happier! I have broader hips and shoulders so the size we went with made everything more proportional. I plan to keep you all updated with the results! So far into day 2 of recovery and it’s much better than Inhad planned. Updated on 2 Sep 2020: Here are the before photos. Everything is squished up in this ace wrap. 48 hours in and pain is almost gone yet still have tenderness. Going to take a shower today and use the bra provided by the surgeon. Can’t wait to get the after photos out! Updated on 4 Sep 2020: Feeling great however sleeping at night is still a little rough. The hardest part Im of it all is not being able to exercise so I can’t wait to get back to that! I’m hoping these photos help! I can’t wait for these babies to drop to get a much better idea of how they will look!
I had started botox in my mid 30's to prevent deep lines in my face and this year I hit the big 40.:( I had first learned of Jeuveau when Dr. Sonderman had advertised the new injectable that is said to work faster and last longer than its competitor, Botox, on his website. I immediately made an appointment after my first treatment, I must say "so far, so good"! I had my injection with Dr. Sonderman on Friday and less than 24 hours later my ll's and forehead wrinkles were completely relaxed. I will have to wait and see how long it lasts but will update then! Updated on 10 Aug 2019: The feeling is more natural. It's been over 2 months and my face feels more relaxed vs. Botox at this point. There are some mild expression lines but that's new trying as hard as I can. It is a different feeling though. With botox I have felt my facial muscles almost "struggling" to move, resulting in headaches. As hard as I try I still have a natural, relaxed look. No filters!
My motivation for getting a breast reduction was pretty my the same as anyone else. Persistent back/shoulder pain as well as being super self conscious of my breasts. At the time, I was 22 and had 34 E/F. I’m only 5’3 and somewhat petite so they really didn’t suit me. I ended up getting a breast reduction and lift and I’m now 8 months post op. I’m a 34 C now and it’s still the best decision I’ve ever made. I have full sensation in my nipples. My breasts are a great size that suits me. And my scars are completely flat and not super visible. They continue to lighten over time. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this surgery. Highly recommend!
As I near the six-month anniversary of my surgery, I wanted to document my breast lift and augmentation journey in the hopes of helping others with their plastic surgery experience. Having the lift and augmentation was a huge decision for me – it took four years to get over all the fears of being under anesthesia and being cut open (this was the first major surgery I’ve had) – and also one of the best decisions I have made for my mental health. I am a firm believer in being happy with who you are and doing all you can on your own to change your physical form but threw in the towel after my breasts deflated so much post-weight loss and there wasn’t much I could do on my own to gain volume. I am also a self-proclaimed gym rat and personal trainer and love strength training and was fearful in taking 12 weeks off from exercising because I feared losing the gains I’ve made in the weight room (spoiler alert – I didn’t lose much strength and it was actually nice to take time out and recover, especially during the crummy Wisconsin winter). For these reasons and many more, I was hesitant to have the surgery but did a TON of research and heard personal testimonials that helped propel me to scheduling the surgery. At 5’1”, I used to weigh close to 200 lbs. (the highest I weighed myself was 197 lbs.) with 34D breasts five years ago. I lost 55 lbs. in two years and went down to a 32C - I initially did a consultation with a plastic surgeon in Pewaukee, Wis. four years ago in the midst of my weight loss but wasn’t ready to pull the trigger and decided to keep searching as I saved up money. Fast forward to 2017 - I was toning more with weight lifting and lost another cup, bringing me down to a 32B. I tried everything I could in the gym – bench presses, push-ups, chest flys, etc. to build volume but without mass in that area, my breasts remained flat and saggy. A friend who had great results with a breast lift recommended Dr. Philip Sonderman at Greater Milwaukee Plastic Surgeons (https://drsonderman.com/) so after much deliberation (and saving thousands of dollars) I finally decided to schedule a consultation in December 2017. Consultation Day (early December 2017) – I went with my husband to meet with Dr. Sonderman at the Brookfield, Wis. clinic to get more information on the procedure and recovery. I was doing so much research online regarding what to expect, pros and cons of each type of lift and type of implant, horror stories, etc. so I was anxious to meet with him. The clinic was full of supportive and friendly nurses and staff and Dr. Sonderman’s gentle personality made me feel instantly at ease (I had received a few recommendations from friends/friends of friends and read a lot of reviews on his work). He knew I had done my research and was supportive in my desire to have a breast lift and augmentation. After discussing the pros and cons of the types of lifts and implants, we decided on a donut lift as my breasts, although small, were sagging from the weight loss, and submuscular gel implants of at least 425cc each.Surgery Day – February 1rst, 2018 – The day was here! I couldn’t sleep much because I was so excited and nervous to have the surgery – I couldn’t wait to have more volume and shape in my breasts again but was also a nervous wreck (I’m a worst-case scenario type of person so I was thinking of all the things that could do wrong in the operating room and post-surgery). My husband drove me to and from the surgery and waited during the two-hour morning procedure – I was in the building around 9:00 a.m. and out the door around 1:00 p.m. The surgery took place off-site from the clinic I did the consultation at Moreland Surgery Center in Waukesha and the support staff, nurses and anesthesiologist were top notch. They made me feel at ease and were so supportive and friendly – I can’t say enough of how much they did to calm my nerves. When I woke up from the anesthesia I was groggy and looped up from the pain meds but feeling so happy to be back to reality and ready to hit the road to recovery. Days 1 - 6 – For the majority of time, I laid in bed for the entire first week, besides going for my day one checkup with Dr. Sonderman, and attempting to work from my bed. I had the surgery on a Thursday and took off of work both that Thursday and Friday (to do my day one appointment) but was still groggy and out of it from the pain meds so I would highly recommend taking a full week off to recover. I work from home but still struggled with staying awake (the pain meds made me so tired and nauseous). Keeping a constant schedule with dosing the medication (pain meds, antibiotics and anti-nausea pills) every four hours helped to dull the pressure and soreness of healing. I was able to see my new boobs after the bandage was removed – I was so happy to see the volume! They were sitting very high but Dr. Sonderman reassured me that they will settle gradually over the next 12 months and the swelling will decrease as I heal. They were very swollen and firm and the tape around the incisions were to stay on until my three-week checkup.I had a periareolar mastoplexy lift (aka: donut lift where the surgeon cuts around the areola and lifts up with no anchor scar) and I received gel implants under the muscle; the left is a 500cc and the right is a 450cc as my breasts were not the exact shape volume (which is typical). I had larger areolas and wanted to keep them somewhat larger so they look more natural so Dr. Sonderman made them more symmetrical but also kept them true to my natural state. The doctor said my pec muscles were very strong (from all the weight lifting I did), which made it a little more difficult to place the implants under the muscle and also made recovery a little more difficult as I felt more pressure as the chest muscles shifted around the implants. Because of this, I recommend avoiding chest exercises with heavy weights for at least a month pre-surgery so your pecs can loosen up. Day 3 – My first shower! It felt so good to get clean but also difficult to wash around my incisions as they were very sore and swollen. I recommend having help from someone just so you have support in case you lose your balance. Still feeling pressure, sore and swollen and not able to sleep well as I am a side/stomach sleeper typically. I would recommend having a few body pillows to prop yourself up on for at least the first week post-op.I received a post-op bra to wear that would provide some support without underwires and ordered a few of these racerback, wireless bras from Amazon that worked very well for the first six weeks until I went bra shopping for bras with wires - Day 7 – The first day without pain meds – I definitely felt the withdrawals after only six days of being on them. I went through a few hours of sweats and cold flashes – it was my first time using pain meds and my body was definitely starting to get accustomed to them. The pain and soreness increased as I was able to feel more of the healing but I self-medicated with edibles (gummies) and Aleve a few times per day.Day 8 – The pain and soreness lessened and the withdrawals from the pain meds subsided. Still uncomfortable but feeling stronger and getting used to the weight on my chest and standing up straight. I started to develop a pressure sore on my lower back from sitting for a week but it went away after a few days of me moving around the house more. I still didn’t lift anything and started to feel helpless as I relied on my husband for everything (he is amazing!). I also started to feel some depression due to the anesthesia and pain meds as well as feeling cooped up since I hadn’t left the house in a week.Day 10 - First event out of the house for a local concert at a bar and I was still very sore and in pain from healing. Dealing with depression issues from being cooped up, the pressure in my chest as my body gets used to the implants and heals from the incisions, and lack of sleep from sleeping on my back made me feel pretty anxious but I am lucky to have a great support system and the ability to use other medications to feel some relief. Day 14 - Two weeks post-op and feeling sore still in addition to feeling myself healing (which is a pretty freaky yet cool feeling). I continued to feel stronger each day in addition to not feeling as depressed but still not feeling normal yet. The pressure is starting to diminish as the swelling is going down and my body is getting accustomed to the implants. Day 17 – Over two weeks post-op and the pain is subsiding and the swelling continued to decrease. Walked a fair amount yesterday with my husband and dog and was sore but each day is getting better. Still not lifting heavy objects over 10 lbs. and frustrated with not being able to do all that I previously did but reminding myself the recovery will all be worth it. I’m was filling up my Amazon wishlist/cart with cute outfits to wear come summer time. Day 22 – Started to feel like myself again after three weeks post-op. The swelling is down and the tape came off the incisions at my three-week check-up with Dr. Sonderman. I started to massage the implants and use the silicon creme I purchased from the clinic (worth the money as it has sunscreen which is really important to ensure the scars are protected from any UV light – I have been instructed not to tan for over a year as the light can mess with the scar tissue and cause discoloration) and vitamin E oil on the incisions to help with healing. It was still very tender by the incisions but everything was healing as it should. Vitamin E oil from AmazonWeek 12 Post-Op – I had my three-month checkup at the clinic with Dr. Sonderman that went great. It was a short visit where the doc took some pictures and felt around my breasts to ensure things were healing properly. There were a couple incisions around my areola on both the right and left breasts that took longer to heal and I kept an eye on both as I know some people who have spit sutures. My breasts were no longer as tender and the feeling was starting to come back in the nipples; they weren’t hard like they were in the first few months of healing. All in all, my scars were healing well and the swelling was pretty much down; I was excited to see the progress from the day after the surgery to now. Month 5 Post-Op – Feeling great! The scars are healing very well (still not exposing them to the sun and massaging vitamin E oil daily), even in the spots that took longer to close up, and the implants are settling in very well. The swelling is completely gone and they feel like real boobs – squishy and bouncy. I have settled into a size 34DD and couldn’t be happier with my results. I have scheduled my one-year check-up and cannot wait to compare where I am now to where I will be as it takes at least a year for the implants to drop into place and the scars to fully heal.Throughout your journey, people who have never had the surgery will give you tips on recovery that most times aren’t consistent with your surgeon's recommendations (when to massage, what exercises to do, etc.). If you have questions, ask the professionals and don’t push yourself too quickly – you don’t want to mess with the healing; let your body do what it needs to do. Best advice I can give is to take it one day at a time post-surgery and realize it will continue to improve – the time will fly by! Even if you’re feeling down, be easy on yourself and remember that everything needs time to heal; the patience and positive thinking will pay off. You may feel depressed (I didn’t feel back to normal until about week four) so cut yourself some slack and be okay with relying on your family and friends for help; my husband helped with lifting things, taking the dog out, cleaning, etc. for the first month or so (which I struggled with as I am very independent). I highly recommend scheduling the surgery in the winter months so you don’t miss out on any fun summer events (and to give yourself enough time to recover so you can show off your new assets by the time the outdoor events roll around). Eat a well-balanced diet comprised mainly of fresh foods (veggies, meats, fruits, fats) and remember the supplements (daily multi-vitamin, fish oil, biotin, etc.) to ensure your body has the nutritional requirements to heal efficiently – this will also help your mental state and moods as you recover. Don’t expect to jump right back into your fitness routine after six weeks as it will take time for your body to adjust – don’t push yourself! I still am not able to do pull-ups or full push-ups and may never feel comfortable doing those again but I do modifications of exercises and don’t stress about not being able to full target my pec muscles like I was able to previously; having the self-confidence of having a fuller chest again is worth not having full mobility/strength. Every person’s surgery journey is different – just be patient, ask a lot of questions of your surgeon and medical provider(s) and pay attention to what your body is going through - everybody is very different and no two procedures are the same. I hope your plastic surgery journey is as rewarding as mine has been – I’m glad I did the surgery when I did and with Dr. Sonderman; the road to recovery was worth it - I love my new 34DD breasts! Updated on 25 Jul 2018: Updated on 20 Dec 2018: Feeling amazing! All numbness is gone and I have slight sensation in my nipples - woohoo! On January first it will be 11 months, post-op. I am so happy with my results! The gel implants have dropped and the incisions are healed - a lot of scarring is gone (thanks Vitamin E and coconut oil!)!
This has been one of the hardest things I have done. The first week was awful and I kept questioning why I did it. Once I got the drains out, I felt like I turned a corner. Having two little ones makes recovery a lot harder, so make sure to have help. Although the pain has been excruciating, everytime I look down I am so thankful I did it. Dr. Sonderman worked magic and did a great job. I highly recommend him.
Well, it is the night before my breast augmentation and a million things are running through my mind. I'm not sure how I will ever get to sleep tonight. I guess I'll start at the beginning. I'm 32 years old, 5'4", 128 lbs, no kids. I had always told myself if I graduated nursing school I would buy myself boobs! LOL So when graduation came I began my research. I did tons of research before I choose my doctor. I looked at pictures on different websites, talked with women who have done it, and talked with my fiance to figure out if I was ready. Also, I had begun the process of trying on wedding dresses for my wedding in 2014 and I kept thinking how great all of these dresses would look if I had boobs!! After all that I went with Dr. Sonderman of Greater Milwaukee Plastic Surgeons. He had the best pictures and reviews by far of any doctor in the area. My initial consultation was on August 23, 2013. I loved him! He was caring and spent time answering all of my questions and explaining the procedure. He told me the difference between all of the different types of implants and the benefits and pitfalls of each. Then the sizing came. What a shock. Going my whole life with an A cup anything bigger was so overwhelming at first! We started with 450 cc in both and it seemed really big on me. So Dr. S took them down to 350. Which at the time I decided was more modest. I left the office feeling great about my choice in doctor but still confused about the size. I decided to make a follow up appointment to try on sizers again. This time I was much more comfortable. I had consulted with some girlfriends and went in with the mindset 'yes, they are going to look big because you've had small boobs your whole life!' I finally selected 375 cc's in my right and 400 in my left. I'll post some photos so you can see the difference in my boobs prior to surgery. So tomorrow is the big day and I have everything I need to relax and take it easy all week. I'll be sure and post photos and updates. This site has been an amazing resource and I hope my post will help other women as they have helped me along this journey. See ya tomorrow!! Updated on 24 Sep 2013: I had my surgery this morning!!! I arrived at the hospital around 5:30 AM. I have to give huge shout out to the staff at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital. They made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I was taken to a private room where my nurse started an IV and took a urine sample for a pregnancy test which is routine before surgery. About a 1/2 hour later they rolled me into the holding room where Dr. S came in and made some markings on my chest and the anesthesiologist put a patch behind my ear to help prevent nausea after. I was also given versed (a drug used to produce sleepiness or drowsiness and to relieve anxiety before surgery or certain procedures). After that I said good bye to my Fiance and they rolled me into the OR! The last thing I remember is the oxygen mask being put over my face. Surgery was about an hour and I was then transferred to the PACU for about an hour and a half to be monitored. My nurse there was really great! She said that my first words were "now I can go try on wedding dresses!" (because I'm getting married next year and wanted to wait to try on dresses til my tatas were done) LOL. While I was in the recovery room my Dr. went and updated my fiance about how everything went. Originally, I had decided on 375cc's in my left and 400cc's in my right. I do have some asymmetry between my breasts and Dr.S decided during surgery to go with 350 in my left and 425 in my right. The pictures of the asymmetry before BA are a little embarrassing so I'm not sure I'll post them. We'll see how they look in about a week. I was taken back into my room with my Fiance about 9:30. I actually felt pretty good. The pain was tolerable, like I had done too many push-ups. We stayed until about 11:30 and by that point I had eaten, drank fluids, and voided which is all of the criteria for being discharged. My nurse pulled my IV and we were done! We stopped at Walgreens to get my prescriptions, a pain killer and three days of antibiotics as a precaution. Then stopped to grab lunch. I strongly recommend having a pillow with you for the car ride home. It makes everything feel more safe and secure because if you hit a bump wrong be ready for some pain! I spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch sleeping and watching movies. Overall, not too bad of a day. I was not put into a support bra, just wrapped really tight with ace bandages. Post op appointment with Dr. S tomorrow and the bandages come off! Can't wait! I'll try and post pics everyday! Thanks for reading! Updated on 25 Sep 2013: So it's the day after surgery and I had my post op appointment with my doctor. He cut the ACE bandages off so I could finally see the results. Right now they are a little high and swollen, but I have to keep telling myself not to worry because it's only day 1!! I'm already wearing my own sports bra because the recovery bra they gave me just seemed a little big and not enough support. I'm still on the regularly scheduled pain meds. Last night the last pill I took was at 11:00 and when I stood up in the morning I felt like I had bowling balls attached to my chest! On a side note, I have very sensitive skin, I have a reaction even with band-aides. I was very itchy from the time I got home from the hospital. My doctor said it could have been a number of things. The soap they used to wash me after surgery, or sensitivity to the pain meds, or the antibiotics. He said I could take benadryl or shower this evening if it was really bothering me. Another thing that seemed a little unusual is that I feel air bubbles, or trapped air in the pocket with my implants. I sounds like 2 balloons rubbing together. I really freaked me out at first but doctor said it's normal and my body should absorb the air and it will go away naturally in a week or 2. Overall still extremely thrilled with the results and I can't wait to see the how they change as time goes on. Updated on 26 Sep 2013: Not much new to report today. Still in recovery mode today. A girlfriend of mine surprised me with a box of chocolates and a congratulatory card. It was so sweet! I was feeling pretty good so we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. I'm trying not to push myself too hard but I'm not used to laying around and relaxing for this long! I think walking will be a good way to stay active while recovering. My boobs are still high and swollen, especially my nipples! Has anyone else had nipples that were swollen and hot, and how long that lasted? I did try on an old bikini top today just for fun! Too small now but I love the feeling I get when I look at my new full breasts! I'll update again when I see them change a little more. :) Updated on 28 Sep 2013: I've been feeling a little down lately. I keep telling myself it's only DAY 4 of my recovery but my chest still feels extremely tight. I've been icing more today because I don't think I iced enough the 2nd or 3rd day. I'm still having a weird tingling feeling in my nipples. Everything just seems so high, tight and swollen. I've noticed more bruising around my incisions too. Anyone have a similar experience? On a bit more personal note, my body decided to bless me with my monthly gift on day 3 post op so I'm dealing with that pain as well as trying to recover from surgery. I feel like a Debbie downer right now. Looking for some words of encouragement. Thanks! Updated on 29 Sep 2013: Hello! Well, after a hard day yesterday today is a welcome relief! I am off all pain meds and feeling pretty good. There is still a feeling of pressure or tightness in my chest but other than that I am feeling pretty good. I drove today for the first time. It just feels like I did too many push-ups. My breast are starting to drop and the swelling is finally going down. I spent most of yesterday icing and resting. I think I may have overdone things at first. A little advice for everyone out there. Even if you are feeling good the first few days.... REST & ICE! Updated on 29 Sep 2013: Post op day 5 measurements: 29" around rib cage and 36" around breasts Seeing Dr. Sonderman again on Wednesday 10/2 for 1 week post op. I will be asking him about massaging and ointment for the incision. Updated on 30 Sep 2013: Feeling pretty good today. I tried to be more active today because I'm heading back to work tomorrow. Even though I'm on light duty I'll be vertical for 8 hours. I'm looking forward to seeing the doctor again Wednesday so I can ask him about massaging to help push these babies down! No meds for 2 days so far, just feeling a tad sore, like I worked out too hard. Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm so glad we are all so supportive of each other! Updated on 3 Oct 2013: Hello! I would like to apologize for the not so great pics. They are all selfies with my iphone this time. I am still enjoying my new additions! I had my 1 week post op yesterday and the Dr said that everything was looking really good! I don't have to see him again for 2 1/2 months! I decided to give the gym a try today because Dr. S said I could do anything that didn't involve my arms. I spent 20 mins on the elliptical. It felt great! But I still felt a little top heavy. I feel like I may have gone a little big, but I'm giving my self 2 months before I make any real decisions about my new ladies. Overall not much to report. The skin glue that Dr. S used over my incisions is starting to come off (and it looks kinda weird so I didn't include a picture in this update) and he said next tuesday I could start using mederma or some version of that on the incisions if I wanted. I've been using nivea lotion to keep the rest of my skin soft. I love that stuff! Not much pain anymore and they are slowly starting to feel like they are apart of me. Still pretty stiff but again..... I'm not even to week 2 yet. I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts and experiences! Thank you all for your reviews and comments!! Updated on 8 Oct 2013: Hi everyone!! I'll be posting pics again soon but I had to ask all of my boobie sisters a question. Did anyone else have skin sensitivity around the 2 week mark?? Honestly it is so frustrating! My chest muscles don't really hurt but the skin on my breasts and my nipples kinda feel like they are sunburned minus the heat or redness. I can't even touch my beautiful new breasts and my fiance is afraid to touch them because he thinks he'll hurt me! My PS said that because I have not had children the skin on my chest has never been stretched, therefor I would have more discomfort than a woman who had had children. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. I have tried lotion, ice, aloe, anything that I thought might help. Thanks! Updated on 10 Oct 2013: Stopped at Victoria's Secret and found this little number in the clearance bin. Bought it in 2 colors. Skin is still feeling funky but my Dr. reassured me this is normal, and my skin was still stretching. I'm able to sleep on my side with little discomfort. Really loving them, minus the skin stretching pain! Updated on 20 Oct 2013: I can't believe it's been almost a month since my surgery. I remember reading countless reviews and becoming very excited and nervous. No matter how many reviews you read, there's no way to predict how your own experience will go. I feel very lucky to have had such a wonderful experience. My new ladies are healing and dropping quite nicely. A girlfriend of mine has already scheduled her surgery with my PS because she thought my results were so amazing! I went to Victoria's Secret this weekend for fun and was sized. I know it's a bit early still, my PS said to wait at least 3 months for them to fully drop before getting sized. At this time I am a 32DD or 34D! I was going for 34C but I honestly couldn't be happier!! I love them!! I still can't sleep on my stomach but my side is no problem. My skin is starting to feel better but I still have that burning sunburn-like pain around my nipples. The incisions are healing well and I've been using mederma every day. It still freaks me out a little when I rub the incisions. I massage my ladies around 3 times a day. I got the best validation yesterday when the Fiance rubbed them and said he loved them and they feel so real! I can't wait to see how they continue to heal!! I decided to just bare all and show the ladies in full effect. I appreciated other reviews so much that I felt ok about showing my own. Thanks for all the awesome comments! Updated on 2 Dec 2013: So this is going to be a quick little post. I can't believe it's been 10 weeks! I am still really happy I did this. Still wearing non-underwire bras. I hope my right one drops just a tad more. That one had the bigger implant so I'm sure it will take a little longer. It's hard to tell in this pic. My fiancé tells me they are perfect and he loves them, and what could be better than that! Hope everyone has a great holiday!!
My rhinoplasty went very well - I looked worse that I felt. I followed all of the pre op procedures and post op - if I could give anyone any advice it would be to tell them - ice ice ice - the ice pack that they gave me at the hospital I used over and over again. As a teacher, I had the procedure done a few weeks before school - so believe it or not - I did not look bruised once school started.
Hey ladies, I'm a 39 year old mother of four, 19,16,13 & 11. My first born was 10lbs, and I was only 120lbs at the time, I gained 70lbs with him. I would always lose the weight, but the lose skin never left. When my second child was 1, I was diagnosed with cancer, underwent chemo and radiation, and was left with the right side of my tummy and buttock smaller than the left. I've dealt with the deformity for 15yrs and have decided that it's time for me to "DO ME"!! I can't have my buttock corrected d/t the fact that the my muscles are dead d/t the radiation. I'm good though, still fine and bout to be "FINE AT FORTY"!! My surgery is scheduled for September 26,2013. I'll be getting a full tummy tuck, liposuction of the flanks and muscle repair, at the cost of $7,135. If I decide to get liposuction of the lower back the cost will be $8,700. These prices include the anesthesia and facility fee.I figure by next November (11/25/2013) I'll be all healed and ready to shake a tail feather!! Wish me luck!!! Updated on 13 Jun 2013: Hey ladies!! We discussed where my incisions and drains would be placed. We also discussed the recovery time, pain meds and how he will inject the pain meds that will last for 3-4 days opposed to the pain pump. I also got my prescriptions. He assured me that I will have great results and that I will have an extended scar d/t the overage that I have. I told him do what you have to do, I want as close to an hour glass figure as possible!! Until next week guys!!! 12 days!!! Updated on 30 Jul 2013: Hey ladies, today I had my EKG, Dr. Sonderman said I didn't need one but I wanted to be safe. Glad to report that all was well! Updated on 8 Aug 2013: Welp I MADE IT TO THE FLAT SIDE!!! Feeling great!!!! Updated on 9 Aug 2013: Good Morning, I slept great and I'm very excited to see my results. I have my post-op apt Wednesday August 14th. Dr. S removed 1.5lbs of fat an stated that my contour and belly button turned out great. Can't wait!! Updated on 11 Aug 2013: Hello Ladies, this experience has been the greatest!! I'm three days post-op and the healing process has been a breeze. No pain, just a little pressure. I have minimal swelling but even with the swelling I'm impressed with my results. Updated on 6 Sep 2013: Hello, I'm 4 weeks post op, still loving my results! I still have swelling in the upper abdomen under my breasts and in my lower abdomen. The swelling is worse under my breast, Dr. S stated it's d/t the extensive liposuction. I thought I had a seroma but when he tried to drain it nothing came out. So I'm going to monitor it for a couple more weeks and if it doesn't go down I'll have him recheck it. I'm very excited and I returned to work this week. The sitting is hard because by the time I stand up, I'm hunched over, but I look damn good! I have updated pics as well. Enjoy! Updated on 6 Sep 2013: Updated on 13 Jan 2014: I went in for lipo revision on my lower back and the area under my breasts on 1/9/2014. Four days post - op and I'm loving it! Updated on 18 Sep 2014: Recent pics......
I had saging skin around my upper eye lids and went to see the plastic surgeon. We discussed what would work best for me and ended up with a brow list. I am so happy with the results and it's only been two weeks. I feel younger looking and more refreshed and awake. I thought I would go back to work after a few days, but the bruising was bad enough that I didn't leave the house for a week.Updated on 25 Mar 2013:It's been six weeks since my brow lift. I am so happy with the results! It looks very natural and refreshed. Glad I did it. I still have numbness and tingeling but was told that would happen for 3 to 6 months. Worth every penny!
It is nearly always suggested that the pocket be changed during a correction of a capsular contraction. Placing Strattice at the time would also significantly reduce your chance of recurrent capsular contracture. I would not recommend re-using your saline implants as their longevity is nearing the end. Also consider going with gel implants as you will probably find them to be softer and more natural feeling.
Time will tell as to whether you have a leak in your saline implants. Over the next several days to weeks, you will be able to determine if the implant is ruptured. If you notice progressive loss of volume, you should return to your plastic surgeon for evaluation. Most implant manufacturers warranty their implants, so they may replace the implant at no charge.
It takes at least 2-3 months for the implants to completely settle so I recommend giving things more time. Certainly your asymmetry is improved from pre op and you will just have to see if more volume is needed in your right breast.
I inform patients that it takes close to a year for all the swelling to resolve after a rhinoplasty.
The cost of breast augmentation does not vary with the size of the implant placed at the time of surgery. Certainly saline augmentation is less expensive than gel augmentation.
