30 with size 32dd breast - will breast fat transfer increase fullness without a lot of scarring? (Photos)
Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)Thank you for you question and photos. Though I could recommend a mastopexy (breast lift), you are asking if fat transfer can increase breast fullness, it can. I am assuming you want more fullness at the top of your breasts. Fat transfer can be placed where you want fullness. It won't change the shape of your breasts, but it is an option.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)Thanks for your question and photo. Sixty pound weight loss is no easy feat. If your goal is to improve your rather chiseled abdomen, it can be done. Your photo does not give me sense of how firm your tissues are, or how loose your skin actually is. Essentially, soft fat and loose skin can be somewhat improved with skin tightening technologies with or without liposuction (such as Vaser). Extra skin can be removed with a mini-abdominoplasty. It all depends on what result you seek. But, the decisions and discussions have to be in-person. Photos alone will not tell the entire story.

As a plastic surgeon, I tell all of my augmentation patients that the key to having a natural result is to make sure that the implant is hidden by your existing anatomy. I anticipate that your surgeon was thinking the same thing, That's why your implants were placed under the muscle (at least in part) and they chose a Natrelle soft touch implants (somewhat cohesive but still soft). I would have done the same things. The great unknown was your pregnancy. During and after pregnancy, many women experience some loss of breast tissue and fat. That reduces the tissue covering the implants (which don't change with pregnancy). Your running is great for your health but it can cause strain on the breast tissue. The implants can become more visible and obvious.
There are several things which can help. That includes shifting to highly cohesive gel implants, using mesh to reinforce the capsule, or fat transfer. Each option has advantage as well as risks. See what your surgeon suggests. The decision is based on how much this bothers you. Best of luck.

Thank you for your question. I wish that I could answer your question with a reasonable degree of certainty. I do not know what implants you have, their position or details of the prior surgery. Your best option for diagnosis and possible treatment is to return to your plastic surgeon and get their opinions. Barring that, I would seek a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and get their views. Please bring any historic details from the surgery and your medical history. Bets of luck.

Generally speaking, blood tests are strongly recommended prior to cosmetic procedures in certain circumstances. If you have a history of any chronic medical condition (diabetes, liver or kidney disease among others) lab tests will reveal how you are doing and help determine your operative risks. Hospitals and surgical centers often require certain blood tests largely based on age. Age alone is not a major risk factor, but following facility rules is a good idea. The only absolute test for any female who could become pregnant is a pregnancy test, though that is usually a urine test.
The whole topic of pre-operative testing is undergoing changes. ECKs were once considered mandatory, now they are only required with a history of cardiac disease. Chest X-rays were required, now they are only used in select situations. Basically, we, as surgeons, want to make sure that you are a healthy candidate for surgery and we want to eliminate surprises.

Thanks for your question and photos. What your photos show is totally normal. Abdominoplasties tighten skin mostly in one direction; from top to bottom. Tightening from side to side often requires a vertical incision (fleur-de-lis). Those procedures are usually reserved for more extreme skin looseness. Skin tightening technology can also be used to hopefully make all skin tighter, but its efficacy is limited.

FACS stands for Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. It is an organization to which some surgeons apply for and join. The organization has defined standards, hold meeting, and publish surgery related research. It is a voluntary society much like the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. It should not be confused with surgeons who are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Boards which are part of the American Collage of Medical Specialties adhere to the highest standards of professional knowledge and standards. Should I be worried about this lump 6 years after getting breast implants?
Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)Breast lumps can be a sign of breast cancer. Insurance usually covers the cost of mammograms. If the mammogram is considered suspicious, your doctors will often request a biopsy. Cost should be the last thing on your mind. If the lumps is considered benign and related to your augmentation, then you have the luxury of time to take the next step. If it is considered cancerous, do not delay treatment. All the best.

Dr. Geldner is the best surgeon in Chicago! I highly recommend him to anyone who is considering Brest augmentation in the city. 5 days & I see such a difference - goes for the natural look
I have been seeing the Geldner Center now for years and last week was the first time I saw Beth. Beth was amazing! She addressed my concerns immediately and even put a plan in action. I have been getting lip fillers now for years and they have migrated. Beth recognized what needed to be fixed and she went to work! 5 days later, I see such a difference and I am looking fabulous already. Pampering at its Best!
I see Monica (at the Hinsdale location) on a routine basis for facials and other delights the office is offering/promoting at the time. Natural looking - love my lack of scars and armpit liposuction
