I can't thank Dr. Kim enough for giving me a new life. I've always been big-breasted, a C-cup in high school and now in my 50's a DD. Even in high school I've never been "perky" and always had to wear a bra. I so envied the girls who could wear a tank top with no bra and I've always had to consider support when buying a bathing suit and strap-coverage when buying clothes. To add to all of that, as of the past several years due to my breast size I've gotten several fungal rashes under my breasts from sweating. How often I went through the day in a damp bra from sweat. I tried everything on the market to try to control it but nothing worked. When a rash cropped up, prescription creams always healed them until last fall when no creams were helping and my rash spread and became infected leading to Cellulitis and Sepsis. I was hospitalized for 5 days and given Vancomycin IV's along with several other medications to try to heal it. Even after my release from the hospital it was another 2 months before I was completely healed. After several follow-up appointments with various specialists, a breast reduction was suggested. I made an appointment with Dr. Kim and it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself. From the moment I stepped into his beautiful office, his staff made me feel at ease. Dr. Kim explained everything thoroughly in terms I could understand and I had instant confidence in him. His staff took care of the entire process of corresponding with my insurance company. Everything was so easy for me and laid out so clearly. The day of my surgery again Dr. Kim's staff made me feel at ease and explained everything along the way. The surgery went perfectly and I was shocked that within 2 days I felt so good that I didn't even need to take pain medicine. I am beyond thrilled that I got this breast reduction and I recommend Dr. Kim to anyone. No more sweaty under-breasts, no more icky creams, no more life-threatening rashes, no more limitations buying tops, no more bras if I don't want to wear one. Tank top here I come!! I was never overweight but after two melanoma surgeries on my heel in 18 months I was off my foot for almost 2 years. During that time I put on about 15 pounds- all in my middle and back areas. I tried everything to lose the weight, to no avail! I was miserable and hated the way I looked- it made me feel old and dowdy! I was never going to be that! Dr. Kim is amazing - so kind, thoughtful and TALENTED. The outcome is more than I could have hoped for - I look better than before the melanoma surgeries and mentally I feel wonderful. The surgery recovery is quite strenuous and painful - I have a high pain tolerance. It's a deep burning pain and swelling and bruising is very significant. The first 10 days you are required to wear a special post-surgical garment which you even shower in. Then you transition to Shape-wear worn 24 hours a day but you can remove it to shower. It helps with the swelling and smoothing of the surgical sites and the numbness you encounter after the procedure. I'm still wearing the Shape-wear because it is comfortable and I am still experiencing some numbness which should resolve shortly. WOULD I DO THIS OVER AGAIN? You bet I would, in a heartbeat!!! I can’t imagine a better experience for a breast reduction (from a 38 H down to a 38 C) than the one I had with Dr. Kim and the staff in both their Exton and Paoli offices. Here’s why: 1) Dr. Kim and his staff were professional yet friendly – I never had to wait more than a minute or two, questions were answered promptly, insurance-related issues were dealt with immediately, all worries were allayed. He's the Chief of Plastics at CC Hospital & best in our area for a reason! 2) My confidence in my own decision to have this surgery grew with each encounter pre-surgery. 3) Exactly as Dr. Kim said it would be, is how it was – he never made promises he couldn’t keep and he made sure I understood exactly what to expect. The surgery was a breeze for me. 4) Dr. Kim’s skill produced an incredible pair of breasts for me – they are perfect, even, natural-looking, suited to my size and shape (now if I could lose 20 lbs, I’d be one happy camper!) They are the envy of all my friends! 5) I write this with some hesitation because I wonder if it will be believed, but here’s the truth in MY situation (I hope it will be the same for you): I had NO pain; none whatsoever. Zero! I went in for the operation and 4 hours later I was being driven home by my husband. Although I had a pain-med Rx which I did fill in advance, I never used it! On my first night at home I decided to take two extra –strength Tylenol (just in case) but I really could have done without it. I slept with some minor tossing and turning. The next day Dr. Kim took off the wraps and drains and I couldn't believe the immediate change; in less than 24 hours I went from dowdy, older woman to younger looking with incredible breasts! My husband seems pretty pleased too ;-) 6) Within three days of the surgery, I was moving normally, shopping, cooking, light housekeeping, etc., A few days after my operation, a neighboring community had a fire emergency and I wanted to help. So I did - for 4 consecutive days I assisted at a relief center, stacking, twisting, moving things about – no pain! (Hey Dr. Kim: I was careful – I didn’t lift anything heavy! :-) 7) Within a week of surgery, I was lifting my arms completely over my head. I took my first full-golf swing post-surgery on the 10th day. I wasn’t supposed to, but I felt great so I did - no problemo! I was ready for vacation and able to play a full round about 6 weeks post-op. I am playing full rounds of golf and not only have I no discomfort, my swing has actually improved! Sounds too good to believe but it’s true. 8) I am now 10 weeks post-op and it’s almost as if it never happened. Scars are diminishing quickly and you can barely tell I had surgery at all. (I have started using Bio-oil to help with scarring) Yes, I had a few itches around stitches and a certain amount of discomfort here or there, but no real pain. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Kim for your breast reduction. The only thing I can not guarantee is the pain level (we’re all different), but I’m pretty sure you’ll be as happy as I am with the outcome! Thank you thank you, thank you, Dr. Kim!

My procedure with Dr. Kim was far from exemplary. From the beginning, he assured me in my decision and made the transition smooth and easy to understand.
