Dr Chen and his staff are very professional and caring. They were attentive and answered all my concerns. I was very nervous because he’s not the kind of doctor who posts a lot pictures. He’s strictly business and he gives it to you straight. Very honest. He’s thorough and explains everything so you understand it. I was nervous and doubtful up until my surgery day. Upon arrival. I was made to feel very at ease. The staff and Dr Chen we’re very professional and comforting. The whole team was in my room. They went over everything right there like a team. My surgery was a breeze. The nurses, anesthesiologists, assistants were awesome. My surgery was 2-21-23 I’m a little over a month pre op now. I can honestly tell you that I haven’t had any pain, or complaints. I was a little sore here and there of course. It was a surgery. But no pain til this day. My results I loooove. I go back for second post op in April. I can’t wait. Ladies if in doubt. In my opinion he’s the bomb. And his staff. More pics coming soon.
I had my breast reduction on 9/6/19. Dr. Chen and his staff are super friendly. All of my questions were answered. After surgery the nurses treated me with so much care. I was given a pain pill, but my pain for this surgery has been a 0. A sore, but pain level maybe 0-.5. I go in for a checkup on 9/11. I will post pics after bra is removed and drains are removed. Updated on 10 Sep 2019: Post op so far. 4 days post op. Side view. Didn’t want to remove bandage due to the dry blood spot. My initial post op appointment is tomorrow. Hopefully the drains are removes and I will have a better pic of what my breast look like once the bandages are removed from the dry blood spot seen here. Updated on 13 Sep 2019: Today makes one week post op. The right breast is swollen much more than the left breast and it has obvious redness on the right breast as well. I’m feeling as if this maybe a problem. I’m not to sure, and it has me kind of nervous bc I can see the difference in the redness and swelling in between the days. The left one doesn’t give me any problem. I called the surgeon nurse today, and she said the surgeon said he can’t really see much of a difference between Wednesday and today, but in my eyes I can see the difference without a problem. Updated on 26 Oct 2019: Hey everyone, I know everyone has been waiting on me to update my pics and profile. I had surgery on the 6th of September, and then surgery again on the 20th due to hematoma. I can start back working out tomorrow on the 27th. I’m very pleased with the size of my breast. Dr. Chen is a great doctor. I’m a size 34C. I haven’t really went bra shopping yet. I can sleep on my side comfortably.
Two years ago I had a long overdue breast reduction that has made my life significantly improved. I have been very happy with that and didn’t think I would be back on this forum. However, I have a lipoma tumor that I have to have removed from my chest, so I thought I would go ahead and get the abdominoplasty as well. I am now two weeks away from my surgery which is scheduled for December 6. This forum helps me two year ago and has already helped me wit this upcoming one. I’ll post pics soon. Updated on 2 Dec 2017: Hey peeps! Are any of you who are having surgery within the next few days experiencing any cold/flu symptoms? I’m having mine in 4 days and am on an emtional roller coaster right now but still excited to hopefully have the tummy I had before having kids which was a mighty long time ago. But, right now I’m fighting off a cold...great timing. I was told that if I’m sick before the surgery, they will not perform the procedure. I think/hope/pray that this stuff is on its way out of my system and by Wednesday I’ll be good to rock and roll. I’m hoping to be chatting with you all a lot during the next few days and weeks. I’ll be sure and post pictures when I can. I would really love to be able to enjoy Christmas Day with my family but not certain I will healed enough by then. That will be 2 days shy of three weeks post op. Updated on 8 Dec 2017: I cannot stand to see myself naked much less want to post a pic for everyone to see, but I do want to be able to have a comparison after my surgery to remind myself why I did this!! Updated on 25 Dec 2017: Day 3 post op and I’ll have to say I’m very pleased with my progress. I thought I’d be miserable but I’m not! I can’t believe how great I feel and how good I’m sleeping! I’m allowing more time to pass between meds when possible (every 6 or 7 hours as opposed to every 4 or 5). And I finally had the dreaded first bowel movement that wasn’t bad at all. Here’s a couple of pictures of my incision and one of a weird spot where he did Lipo. I sure hope he’s going to do something with that at my 1week post-op check. Updated on 27 Dec 2017: Every day is getting easier and the pain more manageable. I anticipate being off meds by end of week. Love being able to see the “six pack” developing. Pretty exciting. Updated on 4 Jan 2018: I'll be 2 weeks post-op tomorrow, 1/5/18. I have been able to tolerate all the pain that has accompanied this procedure from the moment I woke up in recovery, but nothing is as painful as SNEEZING!! OMG! When I feel one coming on now, I immediately get on the floor and roll up in a fetal position, with a pillow if I have one handy, and try to repress it as much as possible. It's a killer! That's all...had to share. Updated on 6 Feb 2018: I finally feel pretty normal! I can stand up straight, sleep flat and on my sides (but still not on my belly), and cough or laugh or sneeze without screaming. I'm so pleased with the outcome and I love all the comments that I've received over the weekend when I finally came out into the land of the living. Everybody made me feel so pumped. I need new clothes but want to wait until all the swelling goes down though it has definitely subsided substantially. Kudos to you ladies who suggested BioCorneum silicone gel and Palmer's Vitamin E oil. That is all I use now; I don't even wear the garment anymore but have worn my Spanx for extra support a couple of times. I started doing squats and a little more yoga and finally walking a little farther distance than before. I REALLY want to get the rest of my body looking like my awesome abs! My pain is gone except for the times that I overdo stuff and I have found that I am very thirsty and craving protein so I give my body as much as I can. That Biocorneum is a miracle worker. I am so very pleased and just ordered another bottle on Amazon. Anyway, just thought I'd check in with a follow-up in case anyone was wondering what progress looks like at 6 weeks. I will try to post a pic before the week is out. Take care and Happy Healing1 Updated on 25 Mar 2018: Thought I'd share my pictures since I'm always interested in how everyone else is doing at certain milestones. I did have a bit of a "dog ear" on my right hip, so last Friday my surgeon snipped it off in his office with a little anesthetic. Nothing too painful. I'm hoping it heals as well as the rest of me has been going. I am really quite pleased with my progress and my new body. I have lost a total of 17 lbs and just joined a gym 3 weeks ago. It feels great and I am getting more toned and it's being noticed. That's got to be the best feeling when someone who hasn't seen you in a long time says, "wow, you look great!" So, I'm still a work in progress and I have to let this latest snip heal, but so far, so good. I'll post more pics at my next milestone.
