I had my first breast augmentation in 2023 and wasn't happy with the size of 240 cc medium profile. I wanted to pursue something more dramatic so I switched surgeons and went with a 450 cc high profile implant. The second surgery was done by Dr. Medina from Surgicare Arts. For reference I am 5'2 and fluctuate from 100-110 lbs.

My surgery was yesterday 8/9/17 at 7:30a. The surgery was success but I woke up with pain. The nurse gave me pain medication and felt much better. It's been difficult getting in and out of bed, standing and walking. I need two people to help me stand. I was kept overnight observation. My pain is under control. Now I scared of getting discharged and not having all this assistance. Updated on 10 Aug 2017: It has been difficult to sleep and rest because I am in the hospital and the nurses come often. I have more discomfort today with the incisions and need my pain meds. I am getting ready to go home. I have two drains in and I am getting to be injection myself at home to avoid blood clots. Please excuse any misspelled words or punctuation errors. I am very drowsy and medicated. Standing and walking is very hard. I need two people to help me stand and walk. Using the bathroom is no walk in the park either. Mobility is limited but the pain is more manageable than expected. Updated on 10 Aug 2017: Wanted to show 1st day pictures Updated on 12 Aug 2017: Standing and walking to the bathroom it is still challenging. Using the toilet is hard. I've tried using p style and that failed me. It caused me more trouble and clean up. I now use a toilet raiser and try to avoid getting the stitches wet which is impossible. I utilize a cane to stand from the zero gravity chair, once standing I use a walker to walk. I also use a toilet aid to help reach those body parts that my be difficult to reach due to tightness and burning. I find Clorox, baby and face wipes extremely helpful during this healing time. The prescriptions that I am currently talking are: Oxycodone (pain), Ondansetron (nausea), stool softener and Enoxaparin sodium injections (prevent blood clots). I must inject myself daily on the stomach for the next 14 days. I also use cotton rounds, gloves, hand sanitizer, itch cream and alcohol. The other items I am finding helpful are a neck pillow to sleep while sitting on the zero gravity chair, the tray which make with the chair. It two cup holders and slots for a cell, pens, book or power bank. A medical table to eat, read, etc and a regular pillow to place under my knees for comfort. Mesh underwear, maxi pads to protect the incisions and a fanny pack for my drains. I spent money preparing for this tl but I am glad I did. I was never instructed to get any assistance devices but learned what I may need by reading other's reviews. I hope this helps and apologize for anything grammatical errors. The oxycodone makes me drowsy and I am fighting sleep as I write this. Updated on 15 Aug 2017: I removed my dressing and this is the first time I see my sutures. What do you guys think? I don't have pain. I do feel burning around the drains opening. I am ready for those to come out. Updated on 29 Aug 2017: I had a very difficult time with constipation last week and needed an Enema. I had 13 days without going to the bathroom. I was feeling much better until Sunday morning when I saw incision separation on the left thigh. It was small but yesterday when I looked it was bigger. The nurse said separation is expected 100% of the time and not to worry as my the color of the tissue indicated that I am healing fine. She instructed me to cover it with a non-adherent pad until it looks better. I must see the surgeon in two weeks for the first time since surgery on 8/9/17. He is super popular and seeing him is often difficult. I just hope to not have anymore setbacks. I am currently afraid move around and have this happen in other areas. I need to start seeing the light!!!!!!! ???? Updated on 7 Sep 2017: Yesterday was my 4th week post op and I am feeling much better. I am trying to stay positive but it is difficult seeing that I have yet two more incision separations. I will say that the first one seems to be getting better but the two new ones are quite raw. I feel lots of pressure in between my thighs but no pain. I still take Tylenol at night because in the middle of the night I do feel swollen and get aches in the incisions. I am walking more but still don't feel confident getting into and out of my Jeep since I find it high. I am considering asking the doctor if I could return to work a week early since I feel able to. I much rather use a week on a fun vacation on a tropical island than being at home bored out of my mind. I have an appointment this Monday and I will be meeting with my Plastic surgeon for the first time since surgery on 8/9/17. Updated on 20 Sep 2017: It has been one long recovery but so far it has been worth it. I fit into pants thatI never would have fit into before. I returned to work three days ago and I feel great. Today is raining and I feel swollen and sore like never before. I started using a scar cream and I hope it really helps. I am scared to start the gym as I feel so much tightness from the incisions. I guess I can try next week. I am going up stairs without difficulty and walking better. I am very happy because I am feeling bit more like myself with every passing day.

I'm hoping to feel the same comfort and confidence I was once experienced. I have not had my procedure as of yet. Im hoping to get more insight from other on what they have experienced in terms of results, recovering, and pain.
