You can start to see results as soon as 3 weeks after your first treatment, and the most dramatic results will be visible after 2 months. Although your body will continue to flush out fat cells for up to 6 months after treatment, I would expect some sort of observable result by 4 months out. A very small number of patients show limited therapeutic response after treatment, and hopefully this hasn’t been your experience. Factors that might influence the final result include provider technique, unintended weight gain, and your unique metabolic and lymphatic profile. Keep in mind that some patients do require multiple sessions to obtain the desired result. Ask your provider to review your before and after photos with you, for an accurate assessment of your response. Let your provider know about your concerns, and she/he will be able to help guide you.

The non-invasive nature and the limited downtime of CoolSculpting make it an easy recommendation for our patients. 
Our patients typically tolerate CoolSculpting without any significant difficulty. When the cooling applicators are applied, there may be some pinching and pulling as the suction applicators draw up the fat between the cooling plates. After about 5-10 minutes, our patients are usually quite comfortable, and may choose to rest, read, or watch Netflix. We monitor the suction and temperature control throughout the treatment. After each CoolSculpting cycle, a vigorous massage is performed on the area to enhance destruction of the fat cells. Sometimes this can be the most difficult part to tolerate, but everyone is different!
Because CoolSculpting is non-surgical, you’ll be able to resume normal activities without restriction following your session. Some patients experience minor tenderness, swelling, numbness or bruising, but these effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks. If needed, patients do well with oral arnica, NSAIDs, or Tylenol.

Does Zeltiq hurt? What are the risks? Does it depend on how much suction/temperature doctor uses as to if there is bruising/pain afterwards?

For example, a single CoolSculpting cycle may cost between $650-800. An area like the abdomen may require 2-4 cycles during one session, so the total cost of the session may range from $2,000-4,000. (Keep in mind that you may eventually require up to 2-3 sessions in that area for best results.) 
CoolSculpting is a significant financial decision, and patients often weigh this against more expensive fat-reducing therapies, such as surgical liposuction.
