Niall Kirkpatrick, MD

Truly amazing. After bad advice from two other under-eye surgeons, Mr. Kirkpartick had enough knowledge to know to recommend cheekbone implants rather than removal of under-eye tissue. (There isn't the option below, but this was actually the surgery I underwent). He did an incredibly skilled job, which has really transformed my self-confidence. He is also an extremely nice, patient, and attentive person. As someone who was extremely hesitant about surgery, but extremely unhappy about my appearance, I am so grateful to have gone with him. 

Couldn't have asked for more. Went along rather anxious and apprehensive, but was soon put at ease by Mr Kirkpatrick, who was charming. He explained the procedure and possible but unlikely pitfalls, but also added that he expected a good outcome. I wasn't disappointed. Only pain was the local anesthetic. The procedure itself was easier than being at the dentist. I healed in no time. Delighted with the result.

I read all the reviews about Niall Kirkpatrick when searching for a plastic surgeon to help resolve horrendous scar tissue following neck lipoma surgery undertaken by another surgeon. I had been left feeling devastated, almost reclusive and depressed. Having had unsatisfactory outcome with another surgeon, the two most recent reviews on this site made me consider looking elsewhere, but thankfully I was not totally deterred.
All I can say is that I am SO thankful I stuck with my instinctive reaction about Niall Kirkpatrick and entrusted my scar revision surgery to him. The results are amazing and although just 17 days on I am still a little bruised and sore, this incredible surgeon has given me back my future and I am now proudly displaying my bruised neck (where for the previous six months I would not be seen without a scarf and choker and couldn't envisage ever being seen in public without them). If you are considering surgery I cannot recommend him highly enough. I would also like to add that I had absolutely no difficulties with appointments or stitches removal - his PA Sam is incredibly helpful and professional, so I am at a loss to understand the comments of an earlier reviewer.

I would like to share with you my experience, since your reviews had been very helpful for me.
I had a first rhinoplasty with Kirkpatrick a year ago now, and my experience with him has been excellent.
I’m not going to lie, after cast removal my first reaction wasn’t positive, I was shocked. I always been pretty confident with my overall look, even if I wanted to polish a bit my nose, so when I saw my nose for the first time it was a bit difficult. To see yourself different, swollen, etc. It is not fun, also you get a bit obsessed, every day looks different to you, etc. However after few months, I started to appreciate my new very subtle change.
I went to Kirkpatrick because a friend of mine worked with him in theatre, and she told me he was the most gentle and meticulous doctor she had ever work with. And after meeting him, I just had a good feeling so I went for it.
I had extra consultations with him, because I had so many questions and doubts, and he never charge me any extra for that. Also what I liked was that he was 0 pushing. Actually after I went to see another doctor that wanted to change EVERYTHING in my face, is when I said ( Kirkpatrick is the one).
Now we are thinking of making a little rerouch and elevate a bit more the columnela ( however is something I’m still considering) it is a very small procedure, and I am thinking about it. I’m happy with the overall look, also the functionality of the nose is exactly the same as before, didn’t feel any difference at all. So I have to think about it properly.
What I have done is a bit of polish in the bridge ( He didnt have to brake the bone) and refinement of tip + small tip Elevation.

I wanted to share here my update. It is only being one week, however after a week of panicking ( swelling makes you panic ALWAYS. ) very quickly it is settling and I’m very happy so far.

I went to see Niall yesterday, and everything is healing nicely.

The difference is minimal but very noticeable for myself in a positive way, if I was happy before, now I’m super happy. Hope it does not change much in the following weeks...

I will recommend Niall to anyone!

Informative, professional and friendly. Results are excellent and would highly recommend - I had a revision rhinoplasty, and had great reassurance following my consultations with Mr Kirkpatrick, followed by a great result.

Devastating experience , had a Submucous Resection due to a deviated septum , left all the bottom of my septum still deviated , destroyed my turbinates , shocking aftercare had to book my own appointment to have my stitches removed , now lm in the process of seeking further revision to put his work right .

Went to Niall Kirkpatrick for a revision rhinoplasty, was happy with the operation plan but the execution has been awful. Been made to look much worse, has managed to take away all the attractiveness from my face, have a much worse nose aesthetically, structurally and functionally. Managed to cause a complete blockage to the right side of my nose & then told me that people can live quite easily with that & it doesn't require treatment! Awful post op treatment - refused to acknowledge the problems & concerns I had, did not give me any explanation as to what went wrong, a terrible & devastating experience. I went to this surgeon in good faith based on reports of his skills & experience, but my outcome has been shocking. I was much happier as I was before & wish I had not had surgery with him. I do not recommend this surgeon for revision rhinoplasty - none of my goals were met & he somehow managed simultaneously both over-graft my nose & to weaken it/ take away more of the support to my nose at the same time. I don't even know how this is possible but here I am. He should not been undertaking these procedures full stop.

I plan to update my review with before & after photos of my revision rhinoplasty surgery with Niall Kirkpatrick. He told me that he was confident about improving my nose. I trusted him which is what you do when a trained & qualified & registered doctor tells you this. Unfortunately the outcome has been the complete opposite. He has created major nasal deformity & facial disfigurement. I want to post my photos so that other people can judge for themselves this surgeon’s skill when it comes to revision rhinoplasty. The combination of grafts he put in has caused my whole left lower lateral cartilage to ride up and is positioned at a very unnatural angle, he’s caused visible scarring to my skin & left me with a dent (missing cartilage) in the cartilage that forms my tip. I have also had ongoing chronic nerve pain which is being caused by either fractured to my nasal bone or the top edge of the spreader graft which is projecting above the height of bridge. It was the worst mistake of my life ever going to this surgeon. It’s ruined my life and he has refused to take any accountability for the outcome at all. He actually told me at one of my post op appointments that the outcome was near ‘perfection’ and that my left nostril had a ‘good contour’ and was not collapsed. I don’t want anyone else to end up in this situation which is why I’m going to post photos. I am completely traumatised and I have immense fear about having to under go further surgery to repair it. I don’t even know if it can be. I was a happy person before I had this surgery. Now I am struggling to leave the house and I don’t feel comfortable to be in other people’s company. I can’t echo this enough, please don’t use this surgeon for revision rhinoplasty.

Had two rhinoplasty by same surgeon at age of 19 was happy for about a year with 2nd rhinoplasty which is sad because i then developed polybeak which now makes it look too big for my face and have deviated septum which i now have nasal spray .have consulted nial kirkpatrick happy with computer image but too scared to commit to surgery at present cautious as to where the reviews are as there are none .appreciate feedback from other people consultations or surgical experience
