Was able to have this done locally. Dr Taylor is the only surgeon who does breast reduction in my area. It’s been a different journey than I had expected-with longer healing times due to the breast tissue degrading with necrosis. I had seen that a few others had had this happen. It’s a risk. I had assumed those were women who smoked or had unhealthy diets. Not the case here. My doctor suggested skin grafts, however, after 7 weeks post op, I am growing skin back! I love the overall size change. He did not take more off my larger breast, so may be slightly asymmetrical, but looks fine to me in clothing. Very happy to have gone from 34G/H to whatever I end up with, which may be B/C. Updated on 7 Sep 2020: I wanted to an update for those who have seen my original post to let you know that I am truly happy with my breast reduction. My previous images showed my wounds during hyperbaric treatment before the skin had grown back. I chose not to have a skin graft offered by my doctor. It took several weeks for the skin to completely die. Then the dead skin was removed and I used Medihoney to help with healing. The breasts were in the completely raw stage for a few more weeks before new skin began to grow. Now they are completely covered with new skin. There is some soreness in the new growth areas, but since I don’t have to wear underwire bras any more it is usually way less bothersome than underwire bra discomfort. I am hoping the soreness will fade more over time, but even if it doesn’t, I am still better off with my choice. There is so much freedom in how I can move, what I can wear, and comfort in my body. I could not previously wear any cable knit sweaters as it made me look enormous. I told my doctor I would be happy with a large b cup to small c cup and that is what I think I have, however I may never truly know my bra size because I live in little stretchy bralets. Before surgery I wondered if I would ever get used to a smaller looking breast, but it was not difficult. I love the Size and shape of my breasts.
I had an incredible experience in choosing to have breast reduction surgery and would highly recommend Dr. Taylor to anyone who is debating this procedure. I dealt with back issues for many years and after having this procedure I feel so much better. I wish I would've chosen this sooner. Thank you Dr. Taylor, you're awesome!
Botox is a great option for treating dimpling or wrinkles of the chin or what is often referred to as "golf ball" or "orange peel" chin . Overactive muscles in the chin and jaw can cause the skin to pull tightly creating contour irregularities. Treating the area with 10 to 20 units of botox is very effective in relaxing the muscles involved and giving the chin a smoother more full appearance. The treatment typically lasts 3 to 4 months. You can enhance and smooth the chin with dermal filler or a combination of the two products. Dermal filler is more expensive but will last up to one year and corrects the problem by adding volume to the area.
There is no need to wait for any amount of time between treatments if you are treating distinctly different areas of the body. There is a three finger overlap you can actually have when treating areas that are close together e.g. abdomen, flanks. Many patients do multiple sessions in one day. However when doing a re-treatment of the same area we have a policy of waiting 2-3 months but encourage a full 4 months to be certain you are getting your full result from the initial treatment.
