I highly recommend the Mira-Dry Treatment. I use to suffer from over active sweating in my underarm area. I could'nt wear gray, white, or anything besides dark colors. Now I am able to wear all clothing types and colors. The procedure consisted of zero downtown and only minor swelling. I had my procedure with The Cosmetic & Skin Surgery Center and I had such a wonderful experience. The staff and providers were all very friendly and professional. I highly recommened their facility. After my treatment I have had a drastic decrease in hair growth in my underarm area and rarely have the need for deodorant. I am over all very pleased!
I am 29 and my family has a history of hanging jowls...not at all attractive! I'm not even close to being ready for a surgery but I liked the idea of Ultherapy because no needles, no cutting, and my own collagen was supposed to grow. I had Ultherapy on my cheeks and neck in December and I've noticed big changes to my skin. My jawline is defined again instead of looking soft. My jowls went away, and my skin tone is brighter. And my double chin is mostly gone (still have about 35 pounds to lose...I'm sure that will help my double chin lol) During the appointment, I'm not going to lie, it hurt. I told the nurse that I have a high pain tolerance and I insisted that I would be fine without any meds. She did give me the option for Valium and Demerol (I think it was), but I stupidly said 'no I'll be fine". If I had to do it again I would totally take the medicine. My neck felt fine but once we got to my cheeks it was a little spicier. I was able to get through the visit ok but several moments did take my breath away. The nurse told me that I might get a little welt after my appointment. I did. It was on my left cheek. It stuck around for about 2 weeks. It felt like a hard lump on my cheek. My husband couldn't see it but I could feel it, and I'll admit, I picked at it. I'm lucky I didn't scar. I made sure to cover it with sunscreen and my makeup each time I went out. So anyway I loved the ultherapy for my face. I hope I can save up enough money to have it done again in a year or two. Best thing I have done yet :)
I was very excited to hear about Ultherapy for many reasons. The procedure does not require any anesthesia, there is no recuperation time, no marks or redness and the results begin immediately. You can have the procedure done in the morning and go out that evening! In approximately 1 ½ hours, I saw immediate results that only kept getting better over the next 3 months. My jaw and under my chin were the areas that I was hoping to see improvements and I did! Would I recommend this procedure to someone? Absolutely!
I am 52 and have pretty young skin for my age but could see minor changes and wanted to slow or reverse some of them. I had a few friends that had Thermage and had good results, so I decided I would go for it after a consult with a doctor who did tell me that not everyone gets a great result. I am day 5 post procedure..I had the eyelids, lower face and neck done and considering I have a pretty high threshold of pain and the doctor told me the higher the intensity the better the outcome, I put up with the discomfort...about 10% of the pulses over bonier areas were like bee stings but the rest were just warm to hot. Today I noticed the tiny crepey lines around my eyes are gone and little sagging on jawline is already much improved. I had dinner with someone tonight who wanted to know where the groove from nose to outer edge of my mouth went. And this is just day 5!!! I'm sorry for those who posted with bad experiences but appreciate their warnings. My doctor was very sensitive to any pain I might have that might reflect some adverse effect from the procedure and was ready to drop the intensity if I needed. As it was I got through it all at a level of 4 and he said most do 2 to 2.5
