Awesome Plastic Surgeon! Took me from a 36 H to around a C cup. Answered all my questions and was patient… Everything went smoothly as he said it would, love my results and his straight Forwardness!!!
I just wanted to express how thankful I am that I chose Dr. Tarakji to be my plastic surgeon. It was him being very professional yet down to earth & the whole atmosphere there at APS that made me feel so comfortable! I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery & the confidence that I have gained! Everyone I met at APS was very nice & helpful through my whole journey. I also appreciate how his nurse Haley Shepard was always quick to respond back to my calls & emails with all of my needs & concerns. Y’all are the best!! Thank you all so much for giving me such a great experience!
Great experience with Dr. Tarakji and staff. I am only 3 weeks post op but I am very happy with my results. I am glad that I chose this surgeon. Dr. Tarakji was attentive, answered my questions, and never made me feel rushed. The office staff was very pleasant as well. No complaints here!
I am super impressed with the service at Augusta Plastic Surgery. Dr. Tarakji and his staff were phenomenal! They were super informative and very respectful. I was apprehensive about getting a consultation, but within a few minutes I felt so comfortable and at ease! I definitely recommend them as a first time visitor! I will definitely use them if everything is approved! Thanks for a great experience!!!
f I could give a 20 out 5 I would! I had been planning a breast reduction for 7 years before I came here. Dr Tarakji did a phenomenal job! I am so very pleased! I had some complications post surgery and Dr Tarakji was very dedicated to helping me heal. He came to the clinic a couple of times on his day off to see me and he had called me several times to check on me. As a healthcare professional myself, I would say that Dr Tarakji is more than dedicated to his patients and he is very compassionate and caring. I would also like to say that I saw Dr Ewart a few years ago for a consultation and he is also a very kind, compassionate and caring Doctor. So I would say that I agree with all of my friends that recommended me to Augusta Plastic Surgery. These are hands down the most qualified Plastic Surgeons! As for the staff, they were always welcoming and made me feel at home the second I entered the door. They too were always very kind and compassionate.
I had my upper eyelids done by Dr. Tarakji. When I went into the consultation I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was my first surgical procedure and I was extremely nervous. Dr. Tarakji was very kind and really took his time explaining the procedure to me and answering any question I had. When I left I begin to feel less nervous and more excited to have the procedure done. On the day of surgery, Rhonda, couldn’t have been nicer. She got me set up for surgery and I begin to feel at ease. Dr. Tarakji numbed up the area and explained every bit of the procedure to me as it was happening. He also made sure that I was never experiencing any discomfort or pain. For a moment I forgot I was having surgery because I was so relaxed. Following surgery I had zero pain. My scar is well hidden and unnoticeable! I have had so many people tell me how much younger I look. I feel younger, more confident, and I can see better! I am already booked for my next procedure with Dr. Tarakji. I would highly recommend him to anyone! The photo is three weeks after surgery.
Three c-sections plus a 30 lb. weight loss left me with extra skin that diet and exercise alone could never correct. Dr. Tarakji provided me with a detailed consultation and addressed all of my questions and concerns in a professional and kind manner. Surgery day was a great experience. He had great bedside manners and was very attentive to my needs and my husbands questions/concerns. At 6 weekspost-OP, I am very pleased with my results! Tarakji is very meticulous about his work I'm so happy to have found him!
Dr. Tarakji performed my tummy tuck, and the results are beyond belief. I've always dreamed of a flat stomach, but never thought it would happen for me. Dr. Tarakji made my dream come true, and changed my life forever. Thank you!
If I could give NO star at all, I would. I went in for a consultation in Nov 2018, was on time, and immediately rushed to the back WITHOUT filling out any documents because I was told that Dr. Tarakji had a surgery that he needed to get to. The why was I there for my scheduled appointment that was made weeks before?! I handed over my Driver’s license to the desk clerk, she was trying to give me documents and the “nurse” behind her kept saying “She can do it afterward because he has to go.” The desk clerk looked frustrated. Reluctantly, I went to the back with them (against my better judgement) met with him for less than 5 min! I felt rushed, did not get all of my questions answered and in my mind I thought there would be a follow up to cover what may have been missed. Came BACK to the front desk and THEN filled out forms including WAIVERS of things that they had already done in the back (i.e. took pictures of me). I emailed Trudy and received no response. I waited to see if someone would reach out. Over a month went by. The 2nd week in January 2019, I received in the mail a breakdown of the FEES, what my insurance would cover and my out of pocket. I had more questions!!! I called several times and was constantly transferred to no one/voicemails. Now this week on 2/5 I get a $255 bill for the Nov visit/Consultation – or lack thereof. I called again on 2/7/2019 and Taylor answered. I asked to speak with Tammy whose name was on the “insurance” doc. I was transferred to her VM. I did not leave a message. I called right back and got “Megan” and tried to explain that I needed to verbally speak with someone. I was told they were at lunch and I could leave a message. I said “Is Tammy going to actually call me back?” She said ‘yes’. I said “So if she doesn’t, should I call back and ask to speak to you, Megan?” She said “She’ll call you back.” No call back. Today 2/8/2019 I called and “Lauren” answered. I asked to speak to an office manager and as I was asking the name of the person I’d be transferred to, She just transferred me – Rude. The voicemail stated that it was Deborah. I left a message, probably sounding frustrated and Deborah actually called back within 10-15 min. Finally, I could talk to a REAL person and one of many who were not rude. She listened to my concern about the experience with this business establishment and their “practices.” In the end, my decision was to pay the bill and move on. I did not want to enter into any further relationship with Augusta Plastic Surgery. YOU WOULD NOT be cutting on my body with this type of “pre-experience.” I would NOT allow you to get any further money from me. The last transfer that Deborah completed was to BILLING with Sharon who was also rude. I paid the $255. ‘Nough said. They are not my pick. I will find someone else, more professional, attentive, cordial, nice, and pleasant.
I'm not sure where all these positive reviews came from. I went in for a consultation and he did not give me enough time to ask questions and told me just to schedule an appointment for the surgery without even getting a pre-approval by my insurance and told me they would do that later. He didn't even let me look at what they offered in the way of implants. I was there for reconstruction since my implants from my bilateral mastectomy were causing me issues. I didn't like his demeanor and would not recommend him for anyone.
Hi, thank you for your question. First, since you are on a weight loss journey, it is highly advisable to lose as much weight as you can depending what your goal weight is. Then you will need a proper in person exam with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what your needs are. The more weight you lose, the more loose/excess skin you will have which then more skin can be removed resulting in a better aesthetic result. It is very common that liposuction will be performed at the same time as the tummy tuck to give getter contour results. Hope this helps and good luck!
Hi thank you for your question. The time it takes for nicotine and cotinine to clear from your system depends on many factors. Factors such as how much nicotine is used, one's metabolism (liver and kidney function), if taking certain medications that can affect metabolism of nicotine, age, sex and other reasons. Nicotine usually is cleared faster from your system but breaks down into cotinine which lasts longer in your system. Typically patient's are instructed to refrain from all nicotine products 2-4 weeks before surgery and indefinitely after surgery. It is a surgeon's preference whether to abstain for 2 weeks or 4 weeks. This would be a good question to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon. Thank you and good luck!
Hi thank you for your question. In order to determine whether or not you need a lift only or a reduction as well, photos (even better would be an in person evaluation) would be helpful to help determine that. However, many times patients with breast sagginess require larger bras making it seem like their breast volume is larger than what it really is. Because of the excess skin of the breast, it is not uncommon that women have to tuck them into the bra cup. Simulating a breast lift can help gauge the volume of the breast and when this is done, some patient's just want a lift only and are happy with the actual volume they have. Sometimes simulating a lift, patient will realize they are deficient in volume and actually need volume replaced with implants, fat grafting or auto-augment (rearranging breast tissue to give more shape/projection). Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hi thank you for your question. Typically drains are left in place for 1-2 weeks but it all depends on how much drainage output you have. It is very common that drains are removed if the output of the drain is less than 30cc per day for two consecutive days. This is a good question to ask your surgeon because every surgeon can have different stipulations. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hi thank you for your question. Yes mommy makeover and BBL can be done at same time but it is not advisable due to a difficult recovery and sometimes length of operation can lengthy. When you get a mommy make over, you need to recover by only laying on your back in a beach chair position to keep your hips flexed to avoid putting too much tension on your abdominal incision/muscle repair. Therefore you can't lay on your stomach in the early recovery period after a tummy tuck. Also when you get breast surgery (breast augmentation, breast lift, or breast reduction) you have to recover with laying on your back only and not on your stomach to avoid exerting tension on your breasts. When you get a BBL, it is advisable to recover by only laying on your stomach and avoiding any pressure to your buttocks because any pressure on your buttocks can cause some of the fat graft to not survive and flattening. Usually you need to be off your buttocks for 2-3 weeks depending on the surgeon's preference. I usually tell my patient's to do BBL first so liposuction with fat grafting to buttocks can be done first. Then come back in 6 months to do the tummy tuck with breast lift, breast augment, or breast reduction. Hope this helps. Good luck!
