You may rub the area safely at this point. Any hairs that fall out will likely regrow. It is normal for the transplanted hairs to start falling our now. Keep in mind that they will all regrow at about 3-6 months post op. Also, you can use an over the counter cortisone cream or even just some head and shoulders shampoo on the area to clear it up. Hope that is helpful!
I recommend 1200-2000 grafts. 1200 grafts would make an amazing difference. If you are not on propecia, minoxidil and not using a low level laser, you should start immediately. The combination of the above will make your result thicker and may stop further loss. Also, your physician should be using platelet rich plasma and stem cells from you blood with the procedure to help with all the above. These other treatments especially will help thicken the crown where i do not see room for grafts, in fact , if one tries to graft that area it may actually result in more loss. So, with that being said, if you really want to be agressive, you probably can use 1500-2000 grafts in that frontal area maximum with one session. keep in mind, one session can give you an amazing change with a lot of density but will not give you the maximum density. If that is what you desire, you may need 2-3 sessions. Hope that was helpful
Now is the time to not only get on minoxidil ( i recommend the foam) but also see your doctor about propecia (finasteride). Propecia will actually stop the conversion of testosterone to DHT, the hormone that causes hair loss. The goal would be to of course stop further hair loss and to perhaps grow back some hair over 6months to a year. You will need to continue this as long as you want the benefit of it. Low level laser is also a valuable addition to helping your hair loss.
