From day one had a virtual consultation with him i was able to immediately detect his professionalism knowledge and caring. I was originally booked with Doctors Plastic Surgery (NEVERGOTHERE) but sadly Dr. Bruck left their practice, but lucky for me I googled him and got on touch with his out of this world surgical coordinator Joy! Just by her name you know every si gel interaction with her will be amazing! She helped me so much rebook my surgery, coordinate with Dr. bruck and his team and I got my dream boobs!!!!!! I HAVE TO THANK DR BRUCK AND HIS TEAM, AND HIS AMAZING SURGICAL COORDINATOR FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN. Not only is the process smooth and comforting. The surgery flawless, the nurse, Dr. Bruck and Anesthesiologist Jason all amazing. They are in constant communication with you before and after the surgery! I can’t say enough how happy I am my surgery was with this amazing team.
My BA consultation with Dr. Bruck was great. He was very patient with me, and made me feel comfortable. He has been in practice for many years so I know he is knowledgeable and experienced. Thank you Doctor Bruck!
I have always wanted a breast augmentation for as long as I could remember. Just like many of the other women on here, I have been a slave to bombshell bras! During the summer, being able to wear tops with out a bra was nice, but being in the legal field, it is hard to wear professional clothing with a smaller chest. Being older, finically stable, and have the time off from work that I will loose if I do not use by the end of the year so I decided to take the plunge! Updated on 20 Oct 2020: First I am 26, 126lb, 5'7, 34C and no children I had my first consultation with Dr. Bruck on October 4th. I have to take a negative COVID test to visit him in the office. His surgical coordinator Joy is LOVELY. She has been so super helpful though the entire process so far. I met with the doctor and his surgical nurse. Dr. Bruck is a vault of information. He is calm, proper, and extremely professional. He answered questions I did not even know I wanted to ask. He looked at my wish pictures and even pointed out how he would have done them differently and more effective!! I spent 2 hours with him, the process did not feel rushed. Dr. Bruck told me I was a perfect candidate for a breast augmentation based on my before boobs! . We agreed on 600-650cc based on my wish pictures! He even said he would put a supportive mesh under my implants to keep them from bottoming out. I put down my deposit to hold my surgery date of October 30th, 2020. On October 18tth I had my pre-op consultation. The week prior I did pre-op blood test, got medical clearance from my GP and also my pulmonologist because I have mild asthma. At my consultation I tried on sizers and LOVED 600-620cc's. I did not want to take the bra off! I felt SO NICE to have boobs!! I told him I would like to be on the bigger side of 600, but of course he will make the ultimate decision in the operating room. My BWD is 12.5 & 13.5. I'm SO excited for surgery but also so nervous. Dr. Bruck did not recommend massaging my implants , and if they do not seem to be dropping he will give me the strap instead. Updated on 3 Nov 2020: I had my surgery on Friday, 10/30! 600cc’s HP unders! Incisions in the folds! Surgery was fast! I woke up super sleepy but no dizziness or anything! I was super nervous since I was alone due to COVID. Stars are 1DAY PO & pizzas are today!! I wanted 650 but I think I’m content with the 600’s! They’re already starting to drop and fluff even in the past couple of days! I started with a SMALL 34C. Have had minimal pain, sleeping is extremely hard and annoying. Just some tightness in my armpits and my back & neck are KILLING ME!! I have been having a huge issues with the post surgery bra being way too small and painful. I couldn't breathe !! So I contacted my PS and was allowed to change into a sports bra until my new compression bra comes. I winged it on the size and fit a 38DDD front zip bra from target Updated on 4 Nov 2020: Today is PO Day 5!! Feel really good today! Still feel really tight & heavy. The bloating has gone down substantially thankfully . Moving around a lot more. Seriously loving my results, I couldn’t be happier! Updated on 20 Nov 2020: Starting to see minimal drop and fluff. Getting more soft but till very sore in my arms!! Still have that sunburn feelings & generalized tenderness. Driving is still hard on my muscles! Have been battling a rash from wearing a bra constantly, but that just my aw sauce skin. Dr. Bruck and his team have been with me through the whole process. He even consulted a dermatology colleague to help with the healing of my rash! Would recommend him a thousand times over !! Updated on 3 Dec 2020: I had my one month post op visit last week with Dr. Bruck & I am in LOVE with my results. I can already see such a drop and fluff already & I have so much to go still! He even said they are softer than he expected them to be at this point . With my internal bra they will drop at a slower rate!
Tomorrow at 7:30 am is my breast augmentation! I have waited for this moment from the time I found out you can buy bigger boobs. It's very hard to sleep knowing that soon I'll be going under the knife. I am seeing Dr. Bruck at DoctorsPlasticSurgery in Queen, NY. I am 4'11 105/110lbs and a 30C. We decided on going with Mentor Silicone gel 450CCs because my desired look is fuller round breasts. I am super excited and will update after my procedure! Updated on 3 Jan 2020: Surgery day came and went very fast. My surgery was scheduled for 7:30am and I had to be there at 6:30am. I was a little annoyed when I made it their before all of the staff but I only really had to wait 10 minutes. As soon as I got in I was put in a room the change. The nurse came in and checked my vitals. Did a pregnancy test and then the anesthesiologist (Jason) came in to talk to me. He was super cool and super nice. He made me feel super comfortable. Dr. Bruck came in shortly after to take photos, draw on me, and go over my last minute details. He took a picture of my wish photo and then I was sent off the the OR. I laid down on the table and Jason put my IV in. He said this medication he’s putting in will make it feel like I had a few glasses of wine and I passed right out go figure lol. It felt like 15 minutes but the surgery probably stared around 8am and took until 10:15am. I woke up around 10:30 and left by 11am. We originally discussed in my consultation and pre op that we were most likely doing 450cc HP. on surgery day he said he was thinking more 350cc moderate profile and I said to do whatever makes me look the best. When I woke up they asked me if I knew what size he put it (I was asleep so I don’t know when they we’re gonna tell me lmfao) I got 550CC HP on my left and 500CC HP on my right! I haven’t been in too much pain it’s more just pressure and discomfort. I have been taking my muscle relaxers and pain medication on time which makes a huge difference and also icing every 20 minutes on and off. Tomorrow I will switch to Tylenol because I don’t want to keep taking a Percocet. They are also super high and hard as a rock. It’s almost like two bricks sitting on your chest. My next post op appointment in on Monday the 6th at 3:30 and I can’t wait. I hate this post op bra because it is very tight so I can’t wait for him to remove it for a few minutes. So far I am extremely happy! Updated on 29 Mar 2020: It’s been 12 weeks since surgery and everything is going great! From 1 week po to 9 week po I wore a band across them to help my left one drop. It’s still higher than my right but I was asymmetrical before. I stared singulair about 2 weeks ago just to help prevent CC. I am extremely happy with my results and I’m looking forward to the dropping and fluffing process! Updated on 16 Apr 2020: I am 15 weeks post op (well tomorrow but) and they just keep looking better and better. Every week they change and look more round and pronounced. I am measuring at a 28G US or 28F UK. I do have pains here and there but it’s normal. My left nipple is not as numb but my underside of my boobs still are. Eventually it should go away! Super happy with my boobies so far! Updated on 3 May 2020: I am 5 months po today and I couldn’t be happier! They look and feel great! I still feels weird to touch them since the underside is still numb but little by little it’s coming back. Updated on 8 Jun 2020: I am 6 months post operation! Healing has been wonderful and slowly but surely the numbness under my breasts is going away. Best decision I ever made! Currently my bra size is a 28J/32H. Updated on 19 Mar 2021: I am 15 months PO and absolutely obsessed with them. I believe my right has lateral displacement but also asymmetry from my anatomy. Overall 10/10 would definitely do this all over again.
5 years ago Dr. Bruck performed my eyelid surgery. What an awesome experience with the entire staff from the consultation to after the procedure. I was lucky enough not to have any bruising or discoloring of the skin. Being of male gender I was pleased that Dr. Bruck was very conservative in the shaping of my eye lids appearance. I definitely recommend the services of Dr. Michael C. Bruck. ~Otis Damón
I just wanted let you guys know that this was the best choice I could have made for myself at this time in my life. I'm a mother of three, 2 boys and 1 girl. I breast fed all three of my children, so you could imagine what my poor little breast looked like before surgery! (Thinly sliced chicken cutlets..LOL) I decided back in February 2017 that I wanted a breast augmentation. I had just weaned my baby boy off the breast that he had been on exclusively for 2yrs and 3 months. I was so READY to get my body back in shape. Not to mention I had just separated from my husband the month before and I just wanted to finally do something for ME!!! So I booked my appt for Doctors Plastic Surgery in LIC(Long Island City NY) and let me just tell you, the staff is impeccable hands down!!! I've heard and read some horror stories about some of these clinics and I was just so thankful that the reviews of DPS lived up to their reputation. Speaking on that, being that DPS was the first place I visited, I wanted to branch out and see what else was available because I didn't want to just go with the first place I went. So I did a few online consultations with some Dr's in Miami and I even went as far as booking with one and leaving a 500 dollar deposit to hold my date. Let's just say I was sooooooo very disappointed in the way they handled me over the phone and their lack of professionalism that I took an $500 lost, which I eventually called a very expensive lesson learned! With losing out on my 500 dollars I became very discouraged with the whole process and was ready to throw in the towel. And let me just give you a brief reason why.. I booked with my Miami Dr in March and was scheduled for surgery at the end of July..4 weeks before surgery I developed a minor breast infection due to inflammation in my left breast, which cause me to have to get a mammogram and undergo antibiotics for 2wks. So trying to contact my Miami office was a NIGHTMARE and needless to say I am so glad everything worked out the way it did because the doctor I had choose to do my surgery was fed up with the office as well and packed his bags and ran for the hills!!!! I was never notified until a few days before my surgery date that my doctor was no longer available and being that they sent out these "Newly drawn up contracts" the month they fell out with my doctor, It locked all of his future patients into a contact that stated "We have the right to assign you a NEW doctor and any given time" Let's just say I didn't read the new contract throughly until I found out I got duped! LADIES READ YOUR CONTRACTS THROUGHLY!!!! I was livid and just wanted to sue the socks off of them, but I couldn't deal with the process of running back and forth to Miami for court proceedings. My experience with that Miami office made it very clear to me that I needed to stay my tail in NY and have someone here preform my surgery. I remember it being something like 5900 dollars for silicone breast implants at the time of my first consultation with DPS which was fine with me, however I was going through my oh so very crowded email one lonely night and came across a SUMMER PROMOTION for silicone implants going for 4500!!!!! I almost feel out my bed! lol Let's just say I made my second appt the very next day! The rest is history!! I dropped my $1000 deposit had my medical clearance in hand and was ready for my NEW BOOBIES AND I TO BECOME ONE!!! My coordinator booked me for what I would call a speedy surgery because I had a new date within 2wks! Today August 19 is my Boobies Birthday!!! I have 500cc in both breast High profile and I'm ecstatic!!! I will post before and after pics when I can. Just make sure you ladies doe your research, I can't stress that enough. Don't ever settle and don't let these money hungry clinics dupe you out of your deposits. I love my boobs, even though it really does feel like a elephant is sitting on your chest keeping you from breathing properly. My meds are helping...I just wish my muscle relaxer was stronger!
I had researched and even collected all my post op essentials two whole years before I got my breast augmentation. After looking at tons of vlogs, RealSelf posts and cosmetic surgery websites, I came across a vlogger who documented her experience with Doctors Plastic Surgery in Long Island City, Queens. If you're a New Yorker, you've likely seen ads for Doctors Plastic Surgery on the subway. Not only is the price affordable, but you get way more than what you pay for. My consultation with Dr. Bruck and his patient coordinator, Michelle, was extremely thorough. I came prepared with knowledge, but was still enlightened by Dr. Bruck, whose bedside manner was both reassuring as well as candid. He asked me to bring in pictures of what I was going for. I was a 34A and wanted to be a full C. On the day of surgery, I arrived and waited for my operation in a small private room with my Mom, a warm heated blanket they laid across me and Netflix. I was so relaxed and kept at ease. Dr. Bruck came in to see me and my Mom. He drew on my body where needed and then addressed the pictures I had submitted as a guide for what I wanted to look like. While he agreed with two pictures, he was completely honest and told me, "This picture here is outrageous. Her breasts are too big. You want something more natural and manageable," he said. We had a chuckle, and Dr. Bruck was totally right. I went into the operating room knowing my surgeon was not only skilled, but also realistic and practical. Waking up, I had no nausea. My vitals were good and I was sent home. My scars were small and my pain was minimal. I truly believe my recovery was made smooth thanks to the precision and expertise of my surgeon. I received 375 and 450 cc implants, respectively. The office was and has continued to be responsive to any emails and calls I make. I went in for my one week post op appointment today. Dr. Bruck said my breasts are already starting to soften and my symmetry looks great. I recommend Dr. Bruck and his team with the most heartfelt sincerity. The staff is knowledgeable, accommodating and follow up consistently. Dr. Bruck is easygoing, has a brilliant aesthetic eye and is an excellent surgeon. My family and friends have all been so impressed with my results as well as my recovery. A huge thank you to Dr. Bruck for making my longstanding goal a beautiful reality. I am so thankful my experience was seamless and that can only be attributed to going to someone who is seasoned and dedicated.
I am 9 days post op and I am recovering quite well. I have been wanting this procedure since I was 15 years old. 17 years later I finally made it happen. Since I live in Queens it was easy to get to Doctors Plastic Surgery in Astoria. I saw the ads on the subway cars and said, "why not?". So I scheduled my first consultation back in May 2016. I met with Dr. Bruck for the first time. During the consultation I was asked what my goals and expectations were, also if I had any photos to use as an example. I was a 34AA, 130 lbs 5'4" athletic build. I told Dr. Bruck that I am an active person and that I wanted to achieve a 34DD size. He looked at me and without hesitation said, "That's very unlikely" . First of all I didn't have enough skin to cover that implant size and i had to consider the implant sub pectoral with the possibility to moving fat from my back to the top of my breasts since I was very active. I then thought about breast feeding and how I was certain I wanted the implant to go under my muscle. I had to reschedule another meeting and I did. I came back 3 months after. I decided to go with Dr. Bruck because I felt he was the most trustworthy, seasoned, and honest surgeon. I did see 2 others and I had a pleasant experience with the receptionists, nurses and coordinator Chelsey over at Doctors Plastic Surger. I valued their customer service and professionalism. The facilities were very clean and only a 7 minute drive from my apartment. I saw Dr. Bruck for my pre op and he decided that 350cc MP Mentor Smooth Round was the best choice. I knew that the 400cc - 425cc fantasy wasn't going to be the best choice so I parted ways with it. I became comfortable with the end result of my BA sizing to a 32D or 34C. It meant that I would have just enough projection and volume without overcompensating. I was ready. At my pre-op appointment I was given my scar gel ointment, surgical bra and helpful and informative literature about my procedure. The day of my surgery I reported to the site at 9:30AM. The night before I stopped eating and drinking at 10PM. My nerves were so shot I didn't even think about hunger or thirst but it's obviously for ones safety when going under general anesthesia. When I checked in I changed into my hospital gown and the friendly, smiley nurse took my vitals. I had a chat with the anesthesiologist and felt comfy with him. Finally, Dr Bruck came into talk more about what he was doing one last time. I was put at ease 100%. When I walked into the operating room I knew there was no turning back. When I woke up I remembered feeling like I got punched in my chest. I was so sore and swollen but very groggy from the morphine that was given to me at the time of surgery. Thank goodness for that. I also wasn't as nauseous but I knew I was dehydrated. I got my instructions for my prescriptions and was rolled away to the uber. The next day Dr. Bruck saw everything was ok but I felt so winded. I followed my medication regimen and by day 6 stopped. All I have been doing has been absolutely nothing. The most was to take 15-20 minute walks outside a day and it has been great. Dr. Bruck is the one to thank really. I recommend him to any woman who wants to undergo plastic surgery. He's very straightforward. I trust him and everyone at Doctors Plastic Surgery. My experience from a scale of 1-10, 10 being the greatest it would be a perfect 10. I love my breasts and i know they are perfect. Updated on 26 Jan 2017: Before and After
I've wanted this surgery every since I could remember ! I finally took the plunge and got it done 1/4/16 here in NYC through doctors plastic surgeon in Long Island city Queens. I completed 2 consultations a pre op appointment and then the surgery! Initially I had already paid my deposit for another doctor and last minute I decided to attend a free consultation with another doctor because why not! I met him and fell in love he was so knowledgeable and really took the time to fully explain everything. After 9 consultations I knew he was the one! I ultimately had my eye on so many "goal" boobs. I was asymmetrical and my right breast was lower than my left. I initially went into my surgery asking for 350-400 cc and came out with 500 cc mod + silicone on my left and 600 cc hp silicone on my right; under the muscle.
After losing 110lbs I was left with tons of extra skin in my abdominal area, that's where I carried most of my weight. A TT was my only option & now that I already did it I would ABSOLUTELY do it again. I'm floored with my results. Getting a TT isn't necessarily difficult, the recovery may be however (differs person to person) Make sure you have about 2 months worth of everything; you want to have help with normal everyday things for at least 2 weeks, 2 months worth of bill payments, 2 months of help with cleaning and laundry etc. PREPARATION IS KEY Recovery can make you a little depressed since you're only able to do little alone. The first 3 weeks are the toughest. If you're contemplating a TT I suggest do it, it was the best decision I've made. Updated on 7 Jun 2016: Feeling great! Updated on 8 Jul 2016: Its only PO day 1 and its the best decision I've ever made. These new boobs are absolutely beautiful. My breasts were very different & asymmetrical before surgery. My surgeon almost perfected my boobs. I'm floored by my results. The healing is a walk in the park, I previously had a tummy tuck by the same PS in April of this year, that recovery is still happening. Updated on 8 Sep 2016: I'm 4 mo PO swelling gets better everyday :)
Hello p2a. Let’s take a step back for a moment and focus on your goal which is how you want to look. Keep in mind that the same size implant can have a very different visual effect from patient to patient depending on where the patient starts--height, weight, amount of breast tissue, skin elasticity. Take a 400 cc implant in a thin woman with a narrow torso with little native breast tissue vs. a woman who is 5’ 10” and weighs 170 lbs. Next, what is the difference for example between a 375cc and 400 cc moderate plus profile silicone gel implant? There is more volume, 25 cc’s (less than a shot glass), the 400 cc implant is a little wider, about a O.3 cm wider (less than the width of a pencil eraser) and both but have the same projection. There are simulation devices that can give you a visual preview, sizers in a bra which can be helpful, more so when a patient has small breasts. I think that the best way to make the final determination is in the operating room, using sizers of the same style and size of the implants that you and your plastic surgeon discussed prior to the day of surgery. By the day of your surgery, you should have spent enough time with your surgeon that you have developed trust and confidence such that she/he knows the look you want. Once in the operating room, when you’re asleep, a pocket is made for placement of the implants. Before placement of the implants, sizers (sterile sample implants) can be placed in the pocket, the operating table (to which you are safely secured) can be adjusted so you are in a semi-sitting position and your surgeon can determine which is best, 375 or 400 cc implants. It’s also a time when a decision can be made whether to put the same size implants in both breasts or to alter the size to accommodate for the difference in breast size from right to left. Once these determinations are made, the sizers are removed, the implants inserted and the incisions closed. Ultimately the decision of the final size is one made with the surgeon’s aesthetic eye coupled with experience, and your pre-operative discussions with your physician. Good luck with your decisions!
Hello Kygurl- Understandable dilemma! The answer depends on the degree of loss of elasticity, how much excess skin you have, your underlying muscle tone and whether is there some degree of diastasis (separation of the rectus muscle) that you subconsciously camouflage when standing through good posture and contracting your abdominal muscles. First, let’s talk about laser lipo. You didn’t mention excess fat, so if that’s the case, there is no need for liposuction. Whether skin tightening, some form of a tummy tuck or a combination will serve you best can be determined by having a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can offer skin tightening as well as a tummy tuck. Skin tightening devices include those that use radio-frequency energy and a technology called J Plasma an energy device that can be used for skin tightening. There are different degrees of tummy tuck and a plastic surgeon can advise you regarding the differences and what will work best for you. Wishing you the best with your decision.
Debating, Tummy tuck surgery is not weight loss surgery, it is body contouring surgery. What you can expect from a tummy tuck is a flatter abdomen, reduced fat deposits, a smaller waist, removal of excess skin and overall improvement in body shape and contour. The weight of the excess tissue removed will not “move the needle” especially in the immediate postoperative period when you are swollen. However if you are a patient who has lost a large or massive amount of weight and you have a large amount of hanging tissue then removal of that tissue may result in some weight loss.
Hello Jess in need of-- Assuming you are healthy in all ways necessary to become pregnant, having had a tummy tuck and body sculpting will not affect your ability to get pregnant and have another baby. A practical piece of advice: If you are planning on having another child in the near future (a year or two) you might want to hold off on the tummy tuck. First, I think that most plastic surgeons who do “a lot of any procedure” would agree that there will be some patients who will need touch-ups, and that doesn’t include the type of impact getting pregnant can have on the results from a tummy tuck, which include weight gain, hormonal influences, stretching of the abdominal wall tissues to name a few. In terms of body sculpting by which I’m going to assume you mean liposuction, I would again wait if you are planning to get pregnant in the near future. However, should you go ahead with body sculpting, get pregnant and after pregnancy return to your pre-pregnancy body weight, you might not need to do anything, or only some minor adjustment. It all depends on the effect of pregnancy on your body, much of which may be out of your control. If you do, however, need additional liposuction, secondary body sculpting is not the same level of surgery as a secondary tummy tuck.
Thank you for the question Gail1962---We often refer to these as a “spitting” stitch. A suture(s) that is meant to remain under the skin and dissolve will poke through the skin and becomes something you can feel, which is usually how it’s first noticed, and observed. As you assumed, there is usually a knot below, unless it’s the end of a long suture that travels in the skin beneath the surface. Depending on the type of “dissolving” suture, it may take anywhere from about 10 days to eight weeks but sometimes longer. Keep in mind that what makes the suture material dissolve are reactions between your body and the suture material. The suture does not spontaneously dissolve like “poof” it’s gone. So if the suture is sticking out through the skin, which at the very least can be annoying, ask your plastic surgeon to remove it. Usually this is a quick straight-forward process. Occasional if the knot is below the dermis a touch of local anesthesia will make the process easier. Usually once the suture is removed, the skin will heal and there will be no hole left behind.
