In my opinion, I feel that he is more than just a dentist but even an artist, because he pays attention to every little detail in the work that he does. He is very dedicated to giving his patients 100% by ensuring your comfort and your satisfaction in the work he does. I had a major procedure done with 6 crowns in my top front teeth that he had done. When it came time to replacing my temporary crowns with the permanent crowns, he spent hours drilling away little by little to perfect a replica of how my previous teeth looked like so that the crowns would look and feel natural. Even with the coloring of the crowns, he didn't just go by the given colors that all dental offices use for matching your teeth because he felt that the coloring in my teeth was a different tint/shade of yellow. So, he took it upon himself to mix and blend different shades to make the perfect one that would match the rest of my teeth! That's exactly the reason to why I said earlier that he is an artist too. Just amazing work. I can't thank him enough for helping me change and improve my dental health. Because of his work, I am able to smile confidently. I no longer have to worry about how to smile or how much teeth to show when I do. Hello,This doesn't sound normal. Healing time is usually one week. Your symptoms should improve with time not worsen. It sounds like you have developed a post op infection. It is advisable to get a comprehensive dental exam with x-rays and digital photos. Express your concerns to your dental provider prior to initiating treatment. Keeping it simple There are many types of bone grafting material available today. The major types include: Autografts(ones own bone), Allografts (human source), Xenografts( animal source), Synthetic (engineered). Autografts are the best from a compatibility standpoint. Xenograft, however are widely used by most surgeons when Autografts are not indicated. Grafting material is also selected based on the clinical procedure, clinical demands and outcome expectations.
Bone grafting will last a long time. However, 5 yrs. maybe too long to assume all the bone is still present. Have the site evaluated to see how much bone is available. If there is, an implant can be your best choice. Once implant is placed, the bone should remain. An Implant will help you avoid having the natural teeth on either side ground down for a bridge.
