I had an absolutely GREAT experience with Dr. Kelleher, Carly Kelleher and their entire staff from day one. I had a mole removed on my head and they were able to get me a quick biopsy result and then shortly after schedule me in for a procedure to get it removed the following day. Dr. Kelleher carefully took his time and walked me through everything and did NOT make me feel rushed or hurried in anyway which I really appreciated. On the day of the procedure he explained what would be done and got me out of there quickly with no issues or complications. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist. All of the facilities were very nice and clean as well and everyone from the reception to the nurses and staff were great. Thanks again Premier Dermatology Team!
I turned 60 this year, and I wasn't looking for a big, obvious change, I just wanted to look less tired. Dr Kelleher gave me botox for the crease between my eyes and my crow's feet. It really opened up my eyes, and I've even had two compliments about how good I looked, and they had no idea I had any botox. This small change has me looking better and feeling better about how I look, I will do it again!
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kelleher if you are looking for a refresher! I have been interested in filler to my lips and undereye area, and Botox to by forehead and crows feet. I did my research and finally decided just to do it! It was worth every penny! Dr. Kelleher did an amazing job and has great bedside manner.
I love Dr. Kelleher. I have been seeing him for 5 years for Botox and filler treatments. He has literally turned back the clock on my face. My husband does not know I receive these treatments but recently commented that he doesn't understand why I don't ever seem to age. I have Dr. Kelleher to thank for that! Very natural results, which is exactly what I want.
I am 27 years old and I have subtype 1 rosacea. Flushing and redness are my main symptoms. These symptoms were permanently worsened about 2 years ago, when Mirvaso (a topical treatment) was prescribed to me by my dermatologist to "treat" my rosacea. The topical (brimonidine being the active ingredient) made my face pale as a ghost for about 15 hours. When the effects of the Mirvaso wore off, however, my flushing came back with a vengeance. It never really settled down after that, either. A year later and my face was still much more red and flushed far easier than it had since before I used Mirvaso. Realizing the effects were likely permanent, I sought alternative treatments, as the excessive flushing (or "suicide flushing," as I like to call it) was making me absolutely miserable. After much research, I came to the conclusion that laser was likely my only option. I tried IPL (intense pulsed light) first. I had a total of 7 treatments done. These helped to reduce the frequency and intensity of my flushing, though to be honest, I was still rather dissatisfied with my results. I felt that after 7 treatments I should have seen more improvement. So I took the next step and opted to try the V Beam laser instead. IPL is the jack of all trades when it comes to lasers. Doctors buy these machines because of their versatility. But all that really means is that they excel at absolutely nothing. In my opinion, they aren't powerful enough to successfully treat most vascular lesions, and I wish I would have known that before I spent all that money on IPL. On the other hand, V Beam (expensive as it may be) is worth every penny if you are being treated by an experienced doctor. I had my V Beam treatment done in the Chicago area by Dr. Matthew Kelleher. This was quite a drive for me (I live in Indiana) but I was more than willing to travel to get a good treatment. Every other doctor I contacted who had a V Beam Perfecta in their office refused to use bruising settings to treat me. They said it was too dangerous and that the V Beam was made so that results can be achieved without bruising. This frustrated me, as my research had led me to believe that the best (fastest) way to achieve results in treating rosacea was by bruising. And so I was relieved when I finally found Dr. Kelleher in Crest Hill. It was clear to me that he was experienced with the V Beam Perfecta, and that he knew how to achieve good results for rosacea patients. In other words, he wasn't afraid to use bruising settings. So I booked an appointment to come out to Chicago and see him, and I am very glad that I did. First of all, I came into the office that day thinking that I was scheduled for a treatment, so I was prepared. Turned out, I'd only been scheduled for a consultation. But once Dr. Kelleher heard how far I'd travelled to see him, he fit me into his schedule and did a full face V Beam treatment on me that day. How many other doctors would do that? Not many, I'd wager. The treatment took somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes, and when it was over, I was definitely bruised and red in the face. But I was happy, because that was precisely the kind of treatment I'd wanted. I held an ice pack to my face the entire drive home, and within the next few days, I swelled up pretty bad. My right eye was huge, and it looked like I had puffy chipmunk cheeks. Those side effects went away in about 5 days, and it took another 10 days for most of the purpura (bruises) to fade. The results have been spectacular. I saw far more improvement in my rosacea symptoms from this single V Beam treatment than I did after 7 IPL treatments. My flushing is down by probably about 70 percent, and the redness is greatly diminished as well. There are several areas that were red before the treatment that are now blanched pale white (my natural skin tone). I'm probably going to do another treatment just to see if I can improve even more, although to be honest, I'm so pleased with the results from the first one that I'm not really in a big rush. Dr. Kelleher is a wonderful laser doctor. I recommend him to anyone who is seeking rosacea treatment. He knows his stuff. In general, I recommend V Beam to anyone who has subtype one rosacea. Unfortunately, as of right now, this is about the only thing we can do for ourselves in order to see longterm improvement in our condition. Pictures will soon follow.
Dr. Kelleher provides my Botox several times per year and has also now become my choice for fillers. He listens to my crazy input (please don't freeze everything - I'm a musician and need to emote.... I like my smile lines, just not the Grand Canyon on my forehead.....) and explains things thoroughly (if you fill this, the result will look like this, but if we do this instead....). He and his staff are thorough and patient, and it is evident that Dr. Kelleher is passionate about his job. Great choice!
I have seen Dr. Kelleher several times for Botox and have always left happy. I have very deep wrinkles on my forehead. Dr. Kelleher always gets rid of them, which helps with my insecurities about aging! It is not always easy finding a doctor that you trust, especially when it comes to cosmetic procedures on your face. Dr. Kelleher leaves me with no concerns whatsoever. He listens to everything you have to say and answers all of your questions, making sure you feel comfortable and confident. He truly cares about his patients, and I believe that is what makes his work so exemplary. I have never had a bad experience after years of seeing Dr K!
Dr. Kelleher is one of the nicest people you will ever meet- so attentive and easy to talk to, which makes me feel comfortable. That is a great quality in a doctor. On top of that, he consistently delivers on his promises. I follow him on Instagram and see all of the amazing work that he does and I wanted to give him a visit myself. He is a master with Botox and was able to tackle the wrinkles around my eyes and on my forehead perfectly. Once the Botox takes effect and all of the fine lines soften or disappear, I feel like I look more like myself again. This is such a quick, easy, and relatively painless procedure and it does wonders to take years off of your face. I’m so happy I finally took the plunge and tried it!
I love this place! From reception to the nurses to the finance ladies everyone is exceptional. Doctor Kelleher is the awesome. He always treats me like my concerns matter and takes plenty of time with me. Best doctor ever!
Kind, compassionate and committed to making you healthy and happy at the same time. Highly recommend him! From the front desk to his nursing staff and the billing department, it truely felt like they were focused on my needs and questions.
Whether or not your redness resolves or improves is dependent on the settings on the Vbeam. More specifically, this is dependent on both the "pulse duration" and "fluence". In order to improve redness when spider veins are not present, a shorter pulse duration is needed in order to destroy smaller vessels that aren't visible to your eye. A word of warning, when shorter pulse durations are used, more bruising can take place.
There is no reason why it would worsen your hair loss. Rogaine on the other hand can cause a temporary increase in hair loss in the first month or so. Propecia does not have this side effect.
Unfortunately, I think your only treatment is time. Over time your botox effect will diminish and your paralyzed muscle function will return and all will be back to baseline. This may take several months though. In the interim, other muscles may compensate and help the situation. Additionally, you may need on a short term basis to adjust your eating style to compensate for your temporary motor loss.
Smoothbeam laser could provide you some improvement but if your acne is primarily hormonal in etiology, there are better options: correcting any hormonal abnormalities, oral contraceptives, and spironolactone are just a few such therapeutic options.
“Tumescent” means to make rigid or distended with fluid. In Tumescent Technique Liposculpture, the fat space is distended and made firm by the infusion of large amounts of dilute local anesthetic fluid. This massive infusion of fluid into the fat space has many benefits. It provides tremendous anesthesia that will typically persist for 12 or more hours. This allows the procedure to be performed without sedation or general anesthesia in the outpatient setting. This makes the procedure dramatically safer and less costly than lipo performed under general anesthesia. If the patient is sedated or receives general anesthesia, the procedure is by definition NOT Tumescent Technique Liposculpture. The tissue turgor created by the anesthetic as well as the epinephrine in the tumescent fluid almost completely eliminates bleeding, bruising and blood loss. The expansion of the fat space by the fluid reduces the risk of unwanted tissue injury by the cannula. Tumescent Technique Liposculpture is the safest and most cost effective means of undergoing liposuction.
