Dr Malamet has been wonderful. He is an excellent surgeon. I have already referred him to our friends and family. Plastic Surgery is such a personal experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Dr. Malamet had great bedside manner, has been encouraging, and answered many questions we have had. I asked nurses to ask around to make sure I was getting a good surgeon, and they had nothing but good things to say. We are thankful to Dr. Malamet for changing our lives for the better.
I had a fantastic consultation!! Both Dr. Malamet and his MA Jessica, were very sincere and attentive. I felt at ease right away, with their good sense of humor and warm demeanor. It was easy to talk about my concerns, without feeling judged. Dr. Malamet, gave me detailed information about his expertise, knowledge and his honest opinion, which I appreciated!! It felt like talking with friends. I wanted to know about fat grafting, which takes fat with liposuction from one body area and transfers it to another. I am very sceptical when it comes to invasive procedures and I wanted to know as much as possible. I feel very satisfied and grateful with my consultation.
I normally do not write reviews, however I felt Dr. Malamet deserves a review from me. Thats the least I could I do as a thanks for the wonderful job he did. I went in to see Dr. Malamet about getting a face lift and neck lift. I first did my homework and made sure that he was a board certified plastic surgeon. I was worried about getting the surgery because of course, its my face, the first thing everyone sees. He really took his time to explain to me the procedure and answered all my questions. He is such a caring, professional and genuine person. He made me feel at ease. His assistant, Jessica was also amazing and very caring. She has been there for me any time I have had a question, before and after surgery. Now let me tell you a little about the surgery. The surgery went great! My swelling was not outrageous and I literally had no bruising. I was able to go back to work within two weeks. The only thing that was obvious was that I looked like I had a stiff neck for the week I went back to work. People thought I had slept wrong, therefore had a stiff neck. Im in my early 40's and I was already seeing the signs of aging more and more. He was able to give me a refreshed look without making me look like a different person (my biggest fear). It's obvious that he took his time to do things right. The subtle changes made such a difference. Especially, when I compare my before and after pictures. My daughter was really happy to see my results and was extremely satisfied with the way Dr. Malamet handled the entire procedure, from beginning to end. She liked his personality so much, that she is thinking of of going in for a consultation for liposuction herself. I will definitely recommend Dr. Malamet to any of my friends or relatives. Again, thank you Dr. Malamet and Jessica. You guys are the best in the valley, you guys rock!
On December 29, 2015 Dr. Malamet performed lipo on my upper and lower abs, flanks, upper hips and the insides of my knees. I'm 68 years old, healthy, active and slender in general. But that roll around my upper abs had been getting bigger and so uncomfortable no matter how much I worked out at the gym, and doing Pilates. Dieting didn't help at all. Enter Dr. Malamet and his very skilled hands! I told him I had been very chubby as a child and prayed every night I would wake up in a hospital with all of my fat cut off. I said I was so excited to use a procedure that could now do exactly that. As I went in for surgery I said " From God's ears to your hands, let's make this happen!" No pressure there. Three months later I am so happy and thrilled with the results. I have a really nice body again! I had no problems at all from the time I left the surgical unit (I felt wonderful) nor any of the potential subsequent issues like fluid oozing from the dressings, and serious pain, etc. None at all. I credit Dr. Malamet for that because he clearly has a special skill for this. I faithfully wore the tight garment and special stockings. I got used to them within about 2 weeks and wearing them is critical to getting the results you imagine. Jessie, his nurse, assistant is very responsive, knowledgable, and possesses a great sense of humor. I couldn't recommend Dr. Malamet (and Jessie) highly enough. THANK YOU SO MUCH!.
Sincerely, from both me and my husband, Dr. Malamet is a genius. An artist. I feel and look fantastic! I went in to get a consultation for both a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. I had a baby about 8 years previously, and already had big breasts. Having the baby increased them to a J cup when I was breastfeeding, and after they only went down to a G. I had large breasts my whole life and was done with it. For my abdomen, I worked hard, dieting and exercise, but I got down below where my weight was when I got pregnant, but my body was just not the same. Those abdominal muscles just did not go back to their original position, and were all stretched out. I had the pooch underneath my belly button and the weird pooch in my solar plexus, underneath my breasts. Dr. Malamet told me he could handle all my issues, give me C cup, high, perfectly shaped breasts, and an extremely flat abdomen. He has an excellent bedside manner, talking to me with absolute assurance, charm, and humor. He answered any and all questions that I had, handled any concerns, and is genuinely a nice and likeable guy. His assistant, Jessica, was my lifeline—I could text her at any time with questions and concerns and she would get back to me asap. She’s a sweetheart. The care up to and after my surgery was top-notch, with only the best assisting him in the accredited surgical center (nurse, anesthesiologist). His attention to the details with my body was that of a consummate perfectionist. My breasts are gorgeous, perfect and symmetrical (I don’t think they’ve ever looked this good). My abdomen is perfectly flat, quite amazing! I made sure I took care of myself per his instructions, before and after surgery, and everything went smoothly, without a hitch. If you would like a little help with your body—even small procedures—don’t hesitate to call him and get a consultation. You’ll sign on the dotted line before you leave and be eternally happy you did.
I am 33 years old and ive have my 360 cc saline implants for 7 1/2 years. I was a 34 B without implants and went up to a 34D after the implants. I was only 130 lbs at the time that I got them and now I am 165 36D. I also breastfed my baby about a year ago. So my breast have gone thru changes. I had a mommogram and 2 ultrasounds andt everything is normal. So I decided to go see a Plastic Surgeon and ask for his opinion. He said he could feel the implant where I have the pain and that I might have scar tissue. He is removing my implants and any scar tissue I may have. He suggested I get a lift or new implants but I would much rather wait. I want to see if my discomfort goes away by removing the implants. And as far as a lift I want to wait until I finish having kids. Im very worried of how my breast will look after. But making sure im healthy is the most important to me. Updated on 9 Feb 2013: I ended up getting surgery yesterday, instead of Thursday. I decided to get a lollipop breast lift. I just wanted to get over with this and avoid another surgery in the future. I'm all bandaged up I won't see what I look like until Tuesday. I feel sore in pain but tolerable. I will post pictures soon. Updated on 12 Feb 2013: It's been 4 days since explant and breast lift. My dressings were removed yesterday. Doctor says things look good. I see my breast dented but I was told it takes time for them to take their natural form. The bottom of my both breast needs to heel. The skin looks like it has a fold. It was to avoid cutting. We are hoping it sticks back to where it belongs. As far as pain I'm a bit sore. But feeling much better. Updated on 16 Feb 2013: It's been 8 days since my surgery my left side hurts more. I'm so worried about things not getting in place and now wondering if I made a good decision on the lift. How long does it take for breast to take their shape . I will post another picture without tapes on Monday. Updated on 19 Feb 2013: It's been 11 day since explant and breast lift. I will have my stitches removed on Thursday and will post new pics. I have mixed feelings about not having implants. I'm happy not to have a foreign object in me and I also miss the look of fullness. I'm hoping when I completely heel I will be happy to just be natural. Updated on 21 Feb 2013: Today I seen my doctor and had my stitches removed. But he put more tapes to avoid any openings. Things are changing slowly. But I miss the fullness. I'm so afraid of not being happy at the end and wanting implants again. Updated on 27 Feb 2013: Today I seen my doctor and he removed all the surgical tapes. He said things are looking a lot better. I'm happy with the changes and I know things will look great with time. I will post some pictures tomorrow. Updated on 1 Mar 2013: Today its been 3 weeks since my explant and lift. Things are changing everyday. My left breast doesnt look as great as my right. My doctor is hoping that with compression sports bras the bottom of my left breast will improve. If it doesnt within 3-4 months he will have to make an incision in the lower part to remove excess skin. I am also over weight so the fat on my sides are not making my breasts look that great. I will work on losing weight and see how that improves the appearance of my breasts. Overall Im happy to have them out I feel relieved, at times missing the fullness but hoping as things improve I will like them more. Updated on 6 Mar 2013: Today I went in for my checkup at almost 4 weeks after surgery. My doctor sais hes happy with the results and things will only get better. Besides missing the fullness on top , Im very happy with my results. I feel so much better physically and definately relieved that I dont have anything foreing in my body. I'm so glad I found Dr. Matthew Malamet hes such a great Plastic Surgeon and really shows he cares about his patients. I will post new pictures later. Updated on 10 Mar 2013: Its been 4 weeks and things are getting better slowly. I think ive just been too anxious for results. I posted new pictures of my progress. Updated on 15 Mar 2013: HI its been 5 weeks since Explant and Lift. I will post new pictures. My scars are still red and the shape of my breasts are not changing. I had round shaped breast like pretty much everyone on this site. After my explant and lift my breast are not looking round to me. Im afraid that they might stay this shape i have and I dont like it. Sometimes I wonder if i made a mistake getting the lift, does it alter your breast shape? Updated on 21 Mar 2013: Its been 6 weeks since my explant and lift. I must say that I'm happy with my results. Things are getting better everyday. I think my breasts are beggining to look more normal as time passes. I had a problem with my pictures they got deleted by the website not sure how. Im trying to put them back up. My befor pictures are gone I need to get them from my doctor. Updated on 8 Apr 2013: It's been 2 months since my explant and lift. My husband seen my breasts for the first time and he said they look great. He says I exaggerate and they are great. I guess as women we are too hard on ourselves because I still look for all the imperfections. I'm happy I had them removed and I'm looking forward to buying a nice push up bra. My scars are softening up my right side is a bit harder but I'm massaging and also using Mederma for the scars. Updated on 19 Apr 2013: Its been 10 weeks since my Explant and lift. Sometimes I still miss my implants . Besides that I am happy with my results except for my scars. I want to do a revision I thing they are too noticeable and there is skin cinching on the bottom and you can tell that it makes the size of the breast uneven. Updated on 10 Apr 2014: So its been 1 year and 2 months and I am finally going to have a scar revision for my lollipop lift. I am very excited because the scar is the only thing bothering. I do not regret removing the implants. I feel so much better knowing I don't have a foreign object inside of me. My revision is on April 25th.
This is a sad moment for me, I read all of the other reviews and that’s why I chose this Surgeon. What a roller coaster of bad experiences! First; the price was a lot higher than many other offices but since he was well qualified then I chose to undergo my tummy tuck with Dr M. My fee was $$$10,000$$$$. I am a single mom and took out a credit line for this, I am 45 and waited long enough to decide on doing this. While I was in middle of surgery he claimed to have needed an additional hour and I was charged an additional $2000! My consult was great but the post op experience has been JUST THE MOST HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER BEEN IN. This Dr doesn’t call you EVER to check in on you AT ALL!!! All of my post op appointments were scheduled, confirmed then canceled either the morning of or the night before.... oh and it’s done VIA TEXT through his administrative assistant ( who is also your go-to person after the Dr takes your $$$$.! Jessica is bombarded with so much she sounds frustrated most times when I spoke to her about my concerns and questions. I depended on You Tube and online sources to answer any medical concerns. It is extremely sad that now that I am a year post op he won’t communicate with me at all about doing my revisions! YES LADIES HE HAS LEFT SCAR TISSUE UNDER THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY BELLY BUTTON AREA AND I HAVE DOG EARS!!! Oh and he made me get an ultrasound then said it wasn’t clear...Then I paid for a CT and never did he contact to say ANYTHING on what his findings were. I actually took my CT to my primary physician and he wrote up a report on his findings. WTH guys! Come on this is unethical of Dr Malamet. He is not what I thought I was going to experience. I only give a ONE STAR because it’s the lowest I can give. I’ve gotten into debt for me NOT TO BE HAPPY about my outcome. I’m wondering if anyone out there has experienced this and is embarrassed or afraid to speak the truth about the professional side oh Dr M after he takes your money????? I showed up to one of my last appointments and he left me in the room waiting for 30 mins then his assistant (Jessica) came in and said he had to leave for an emergency but yet he didn’t walk in the room to apologize for him leaving me there. My job is in Santa Clarita and he’s on Ventura so I made time to make sure I kept my appointments. There’s zero communication once he takes your money. Oh and your lucky if he actually sticks to the appointment so you can ask ALL the things he doesn’t bother to prepare you for in the process of healing. Now I am left with an ugly bulge on my abdomen and dog ears that look awful with just wearing bikini underwear. I regret choosing this office and this Dr 100 percent! Please interview MANY OTHERS and really be careful with choosing this surgeon. He’s handsome and all smiles when in the consult room but it’s all a fake, uncaring money hungry man! Double certified??? Nah he needs to be educated in having a heart and build relationships with his patients rather than dump all of the post ops to his poor assistant. I hope she gets paid bank because I built a texting relationship with her this past year more than anyone I’ve texted in my life. Lol. This place is a fancy facade from the outside ladies!!! Beware of the BS.
WARNING!! PLEASE DO NOT GOT WITH THIS DOCTOR, Wish my experience with this office had been as good as the others on here I got my first Breast augmentation back on June 14, 2017, I was looking around for prices he was the one is charging $5800 for saline implant I accepted I didn't blame him It was my decision to pay $800 dls more. After the surgery I notice my left breast is different also both of my breast look very small I went back with him I asked him why my left size is like that and why they look very small, I'm been told by him because is the way that my natural breast was before the surgery also he said so many times that he put on me 430 cc , so I decided to let it go my husband and I decided to come back with him and get a deal for a second surgery the first time he said about $1500 to $1800 that he is not going to charge for his services, after 2 months he change his price to $3800 I accepted, he sent me to have a blood work test again I paid $75.00 cash for it, then we set-up the appointment for a second surgery at 6:30 am he never show up I waited for 2 hours there at the surgery center, I have to get up and asked at the front desk what is going on with the Dr one of the receptionists said that he had an emergency and he is ready to get on the plane that somebody is going to call me back to reschedule my surgery, nobody called me. I called his assistant Jessica she was acting like nothing saying what do you want to me to do?? is not my fault, Dr had an emergency also she said it was my fault because I don't like the results on the first surgery, she was very rude & unprofessional, I was really frustrated after 2 weeks Jessica and I try to get a new surgery date, I received an email from her confirming the new surgery will be on Tuesday but she is not sure what time will be , the next day Jessica called to let me know Dr Matthew decided not to do my surgery because he was thinking that I’m not going to be happy with my results that he will recommend me to get a silicon instead saline obviously the price will be higher , what kind of Doctor did this to his patients ?? I asked her that I need to speak with him, but he never contact me, also they never return my money that they charge to my credit cards for the second surgery, I called to complain tell them there is no reason to keep my money if I never received the surgery , I Called to care credit & Alphaeon credit cards to report a fraud from them. 1. If you are not happy with something you can’t speak with a manager because there is not manager , only Jessica, his assistant and Dr Malamet , if she didn’t answer she will txt you I CANT TALK RIGHT NOW well they probably need one to manage her customer services while on the phone speaking to one 2. They cancelled my follow up appointments 7 times after my first surgery we have to reschedule them 3. I asked for my medical records by txt, email, until now I didn’t received anything , I went to the office Dr Malamet make me sign a legal form to get my medical records but they didn’t sent anything yet Don’t be fooled with this people, they lack serious professionalism and courtesy.
This is a very good question.. Your surgeon should remove/explant the implants via conventional techniques. What type of incision was initially utilized to place the PIP implants? To exchange/replace the PIP implants with new silicone or saline implants will depend upon the formal intraoperative findings by your surgeon. That being said, I tend to agree with your surgeons Operative plan, i.e. unless there is clinical evidence of silicone impregnantion, capsular thickening, and/or contracture, a complete capsulectomy is not indicated. A complete capsulectomy is a procedure that carries its own inherent risks and possible complications. Please keep us posted concerning the MRI/scan results.
