Dr. Bosbous is a perfectionist and a very talented surgeon with an amazing team. I was beyond happy with the outcome of my surgery. He did a great job of explaining the process, recovery and answering all my questions. Lastly, during my recovery I had a few concerns, and his team was great at getting back to me quickly. It was important to me to know I had the continual support even after being at home. I would highly recommend Dr. Bosbous and his team!
Dr. Bosbous and his team were great! I felt heard and confident in understanding what was going on during surgery and what to expect after. They have always been available to answer questions and never make you feel like a burden.
Dr. Bosbous was amazing! He always made me feel very comfortable and he was extremely professional and very informative. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure as well as the before and after. I felt 100% in the know the entire time. I also feel he took the time to understand what I wanted and I truly believe he took them into consideration when performing the surgery. He gave me exactly what I wanted. I am overjoyed with the end results and I 100% recommend him for your plastic surgery needs. I would also like to add that I never waited more than 10min to be seen by him for my appointments and his medical assistant was also amazing!
2 Weeks Post Op My goal mentally going into this was to make it to 2 weeks. Surprisingly, things were easier sooner. But I still had my “moments”. Day of surgery... weight 213, height 5’6. Things went great in the OR. I had a TT, MR, and Lipo to flanks and axilla area (side boob fat). Afterwards I hit a few bumps, but nothing to major. Day 2.... don’t remember it to much, was dealing with nausea and not wanting to eat. I do remember thinking the pain wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. Day 3.... at 1am (so less than 36 from surgery) I took my last pain pill. Tylenol and the muscle relaxer were enough. Also on Day 3 I made it a goal to get in and out of the chair by myself. I did need a little assistance getting the pillows back under my legs. Also took first shower, and even though I felt nauseous and didn’t have the energy it was SO worth it. Day 4... prepared myself my own breakfast. Lower back really starting hurting. Tried to lay in my own bed, I got in okay, but couldn’t get comfortable and getting out was horrible. Day 5... sat outside and it was WONDERFUL!!!! And my appetite finally starting coming back. Day 6... With docs permission I started short walks (10 mins). Which really helped with my lower back. Day 7.... first post op appointment. Doc was impressed with how upright I was and how good I was feeling. He removed one drain. Day 8... started sleeping in my own bed, didn’t make it through the night until day 11. Day 9&10&11... we had a busy weekend, nothing strenuous. And I took lots of naps. Felt great to get out of the house as much as I did! Day 12... drove for the first time. Went to the grocery store and picked up a few things. When I got home I had my kids bring everything in. Day.. 2 weeks post op!!! Weight 201 (and I’m still 5’6 ). I continue to do a little more each day in the restrictions I’m allowed. Lower back pain is just about gone and I’m pretty much back to standing completely straight.
It's 2 weeks before my surgery, I am extremely scared and I would say it's more about being put to sleep. I haven't had a surgery since 11 and all 3 of my C-sections I was awake! This is something that needs to be done after losing 75lbs with the HCG program. I will keep updating as the time goes by, I really wish there were more dependable reviews about him and photos but I'm going in blind lol Updated on 28 Jan 2023: Well, I finally completed my surgery as of Jan, 28th. It was nerve wrecking at first but then I just kind of came to terms with it and knew this is what I wanted, especially when it was already paid for and couldn't go back. My 10 year Anniversary for my marriage was actually that same day so it kind of was a bummer but I wanted it done. We got a Hotel room the night before which was Tuesday the 17th and had a hot tub in our room to enjoy ourselves. I was stressed out because the night because Sunday I went to the E.R for a really bad pain in my leg and I had no idea what I did wrong and I couldn't walk, so I thought that would affect my surgery due to the fact I wouldn't be able to walk right after I woke up. Thank God my leg decided to act better and wasn't nearly as bad as it was. It seemed all the signs were pointing to not getting the surgery and that I should cancel because something bad was going to happen. I have sever anxiety and anyone reading this, if you have severe anxiety like me where you take medication and you anti-depressants, don't let that stop you, your body will find everyway to make you panic to not get this done. In the very beginning I was so ready but then it was hard to find a Doctor to feel comfortable with and trust, especially because I was in WI. I didn't think anyone would really have the credentials to do something so major like a Tummy Tuck/MR/ FL. I went through some of the I call "Commercial" type places like Quintessa, Sono Bello, Illume Cosmetic, and Zelko, the prices were extremely high and they didn't give me that genuine vibe, plus it just was not affordable! My Grandmother kept telling me to find actual PS through actually hospital preferable Froedtert, but I ran into a PS on google name Dr. Sondermann, I am seemed very please with his pictures but some of his reviews because he had a few but when I went in for consult which was 100$ I literally was in there for 15 min and it was not helpful at all but to say " You're a perfect candidate and to quite smoking, I asked him about my back/bra line fat and he stated he doesn't add lipo flank included in the fee which I felt was odd because a lot of the surgeons do. So he said he can do it but then it went from 9,000 ish to 12,000 ish. I almost chose him because of how many reviews and how long he has been doing this but then I saw one really ugly review and it freaked me out a bit. She had a hole in her stomach and he asked if she smoked because that's how it happens and she said she didn't but it's on here and there were a lot of complications. So, I received the papers to finalize it and all it stated is really where to send all 3 payments because they don't have their own facility. Then there were weird scenarios in there that I didn't like and they told me I can come in for another appointment for free if I liked otherwise they'll see me on the day of surgery, it was making me lean towards a no. Now this is when I found Bosbous!!!! He has his clinic connected to the Hospital which is Froedtert, that is one thing that made me very happy! The consult was free and they got me in really fast because I already had surgery planned with Sonderman and I wanted to make sure before I lose that spot that Bosbous would be affordable and right for me. They accommodated me and I was in to see in within 2 weeks I think. Yes, the visit was fast and yes I thought West Bend, WI was an odd place but it was worth a try. Even though the visit was fast he was very clear and honest about some of the things that I wasn't aware of that I would have made a mistake with Sonderman, he did give Sonderman credit which also made me feel good, he did not put his work down but told me about some of the choices I mightve made could have made me disappointed in my results. One original red flag was that Bosbous didn't have photos online like a lot of others, so that worried me. He does show you a big binder though and he tries to compare you to one of the his past patience that are anonymous, so you don't see names or faces. I came to find out that he seems discreet and respectful and doesn't need to be a show off and I looked at that in a positive way. I also looked at it that him being young he would have more to lose out of his career and would care about more success stories than anything, he has a long time left in the game. As for the other PS I would call a vet but has been in the field a long time and probably wouldn't be around too much longer and may not care as much about his work anymore if that makes sense? Bosbous price could not be beat, and I feel even though it wasn't extremely expensive especially including Flank lipo and MR with the TT that he really cares about helping people and making them look good! He has so much to offer. His staff have been nothing but supportive and consistent, I could write a million times a day on my chart which is amazing that they have that and they will respond without any problems even if I might have annoyed them lol. Super respectful and comforting! Bosbous was very honest with me and told me that I had to stop smoking immediately and gave me that look like he was my father scolding my lol but it was good, he cares. He also said that it will hurt and that I might want to kill him the first couple days but that it'll get better lol. They also provide an education class before your procedure and make sure that you have a physical to be cleared, that let me know it wasn't a see you when I see you! I made the right choice and I spent the money well. Small place but makes it feel like family and can focus more on a person then being rushed for the next person. I recommend him and he deserves more recognized, the internet does no justice. This was just the story of the start and how I made my choice after days of research, I dug deep and reached out to people who had reviews on him and went into fb lol just being honest. Updated on 30 Jan 2023: I have terrible anxiety and thought this was going to be a horrible experience and honestly I swore up and down that I was going to die because of my history with postpartum and anxiety/depression. I had 3 c-sections and the postpartum started after my second daughter. Then with my son I thought I was going to die on that table and that's why I was scared to have kids again but I made it, I wont go into detail because that's not what this site is about. So, after trying to get accept the fact that I am going to do this surgery the night before in the hotel, I stayed very calm. The next morning I was ready to get it over with because I knew if I don't just do it I won't. I stayed very calm the whole way to the surgery center. When I got there the check in was very easy and the process went super fast to get me prepared, I don't even think I had time to think lol. The nurse greeted me and was so friendly, I felt almost too friendly in the state of mind I was in. My husband had to wait for my to get settled and change into gowned, got my I.V in and husband was able to come back to the room by me. Once again the nurse was super supportive and very comforting. She told me that she would be with me every moment and not to worry, this is procedures he does everyday and others as well. I honestly don't remember if the Anesthesiologist came in first or Bosbous, everything was moving so fast. I can say when the Anesthesiologist came in he reassured everything and confirmed my history with everything and asked what he could do to make me more comfortable. I did take the Valium for anxiety and did the nausea patch behind the ear for precaution, he said as well that he would be there the whole time monitoring and told me that its like 1 in a billion that a reaction could happen and not to worry. When I saw Bosbous he came in and did markings and was fast about everything but informed me on what was to happen and to let me know that I am safe and will be ok. My husband prayed with me and they rolled me back and everything was on time, I refused to have my eyes open lbvs because I didn't want to see all the lights and gowns, all the crazy surgical stuff, just didn't need to over think. As much as I hate hearing my heart rate on the monitor I tried to zone it out. They then said they were putting the mask on me for oxygen and to just breath, I just said ok, but I'm not looking lol. Then that's when the panic came a little bit, I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest, I was thinking like " Really this whole time you could've panicked and you choose now!!!!". So I started to say, " Am I ok, my heart is pounding really hard, I can feel it out of my chest, are you sure its ok my hearts beating really hard", they told me that they saw everything on the monitor and that it's fine and to relax and just breath in the oxygen, ( Now I know writing this it makes it seems like I was having this feeling forever and it was taking forever but seriously it was like 15 seconds lol) Then BOOM! I guess I was out! Then I woke up, and I don't think to frantic but looked around like wheres my husband, and she said she was going to get him and he came running in..... and this is what I said " I MADE IT, IM ALIVE, I SURVIVED IT! IM ALIVE RIGHT? I DID IT, I SURVIVED!" lol good God, my husband laughed and said yes you did babe! They gave me water and boy was I thirsty, I think I drank too fast, but before I know it they told us some stuff but I was drugged up so I don't exactly know, but then they got my stuff together and i got dressed and wheeled out to my car. I kept saying I wanted a Milkshake from the place we ate the night before because it was amazing and that was stupid, even though the nurse was like yes go ahead, my dumb self am lactose intolerance, soooooo that was the worse thing to even try to digest with just being cut apart lol. The Gas was hell and I know that's what the first issue was. The drive home, was the worst. I will continue with my journey at home next update and the do's, don'ts, be prepared for and what to expect or possibly expect and to possibly be prepared for the unknown lol. I still hate it here over a week later! Updated on 31 Jan 2023: Some photos are saying to large so I am trying to get them in order, but here are some before and after side by side. I will try to add more as time goes on but only thing different currently is one drain out after the first week. I still have one in and hoping it to be out this Friday.
