A neurosurgeon recommended a tummy tuck to fix the issues I was having with my back. The problem I was suffering from was caused by an unstable core, due to separated muscles. I was referred to Dr Vucak. My experience to date, has been great. Dr Mark has a fabulous sense of humour. Surgery for me, has always been high risk. I have had several big abdominal operations, including two lots of bariatric surgery of which I have lost over 100kg. We settled on a body lift. I had a large apron hanging down onto my thighs to go with my dodgy back. I was glad Dr Vucak was willing to take a chance on fixing my muscles, even though I have yet to reach my goal weight. During surgery, Dr V removed a staggering amount of skin and fat, as well as knitting my muscles back together. The day after surgery, I stood up with the help of the amazing nurses and physiotherapists at the Townsville Pimlico hospital and felt the muscles clamp once more around my spine. Feeling that support again for the first time in years, brought tears and turned me into a blubbering mess. My first change of clothes had me giggling like a loon. My pants fell down! I no longer had my apron to hold them up! I am three weeks post body lift now, the recovery road is not a short one. It is still surreal to not have the big fold of skin at the bottom of my body and I am having a great time with clothes for the first time, ever! Dr V is working closely with my GP and other medical specialists to keep an eye on me. When searching for someone to perform this type of huge procedure. I would not choose any other plastic surgeon to work on me. Dr Mark Vucak is the surgeon you need. (I'll add photos later.)
Had many options but could not find best then Dr. Vucak. I would defnatliy recommend Dr. Vucak he’s the best in the Queensland he is perfected the Vaser technique I had it done and he would look after you and the results speak for itself
After having 2 kids my poor little 12A breasts had become nothing but saggy skin with very little breast tissue. I had been mostly OK with the small size through my life but since breastfeeding, I could hardly stand to look at what they'd become. So I made an appointment with Dr Mark Vucak at NQ Plastic surgery. If I recall, it was only a month or 2 wait for the consultation. On the day I was very happy that he went through the process with me and suggested sizes based on what I wanted and my body shape. He came across very professional and experienced. He also explained the need for the lift (Mastopexy) and that with my degree of sagging I could be eligible for some Medicare rebates. I ended up deciding on Motiva Round 375cc. For reference, I was 57kg and 175cm and 12AA. My surgery was booked for a couple of months later -would be 2 days before my 39th birthday. Yay me! The total costs ended up being around $22K when including Anesthetist and hospital fees. Surgery went well, however I did experience a lot more pain afterwards than I had expected. I think I have a high pain threshold (I had 2 babies drug free) but this really threw me. The pain was mostly deep in my chest and sternum. It was probably day 5 before I felt able to cope without the serious painkillers every 4 hours around the clock. I still felt a lot of pressure from the tight skin though. As expected, I couldn't move my arms or upper body much in this time either so I was reliant on hubby to do everything. I had a large Pico dressing on for 5 days which has a vacuum, it wasn't working properly but this didn't impact my healing. I also had an allergic reaction to the plastic tape the hospital nurses used to try and seal the dressing so I was extra uncomfortable for those days, especially in our Qld summer heat. It was amazing to get it off and see my new boobs. The incisions look super neat and the nurses showed me how to change the tape on them weekly. With the Xmas new year break, I have to wait 4 weeks for sutures to be removed so I will update after that. I am now just over 2 weeks post op and I am feeling so much better. Still some pressure and occasional stabby type pain but nno need for painkillers. Im so very happy with the results so far!! ZMy only regret is not doing it sooner. I know I have a while to go before I see final results and size so Iwill keep you posted. I can't wait to finally buy beautiful bras for the first time in my life! e
Hi all :) I am 19 years old and today I had rhinoplasty with Dr Mark Vucak of Queensland Plastic surgery in far North Queensland. So far my nose is in no pain, my only problem is red, irritated and very sore eyes, almost unbearable. I have eye drops to hopefully get rid of this. This was not my first cosmetic procedure, I had a Breast Augmentation last year through a different surgeon in Sydney NSW, so surgery wasn't as daunting as it is for some. I will contribute to update this page with my process, I hope to my story helps someone else. Updated on 12 Aug 2015: Sleeping upright isn't fun, I've still good small bleeding from both nostrils which are packed. The packing will be removed at 3pm today. Pain still minimal, and bruising is OK at this stage. Updated on 13 Aug 2015: I'm feeling pretty good today, I've been up and down all day. I haven't taken any pain killers yet, and my bruising is still pretty minimal. So far so good :) Updated on 15 Aug 2015: Well and truly on the mend today. I've had no pain killers in 48 hours, and feeling pretty normal. Lots less blood coming from my nose. Splint will come off on Friday this coming week. Updated on 16 Aug 2015: Feeling super good today, still no pain killers - went and had a salon day etc. Not much more to update on. Updated on 21 Aug 2015: So inlove with my new nose! Can't stop looking at it! Still quite a bit of swelling, it will calm down over the next month. I hope my story helps someone else with the choice of rhinoplasty Updated on 3 Sep 2015: 3 weeks post op :) still some swelling, which makes it look a different uneven.
My motivation was deviated septum and not symmetric. Insurance agreed to help with some of the cost. I also wanted it smaller while doing it. I have research Dr Mark Vucak (Queensland Plastic Surgery). I had numerous of opinions from Medical staff in the area. If you want to know who to go ask the local nurses and doctors. Especially, If you go to a MediSpa and hospital. They always know the scoop. His practice is based out of Townsville. He travels to Mackay and Rock Hampton as well. I picked Mackay because I live here. I bruised more than most people. So bad that my bruising stained my skin under my eyes. I used the hydroquine 4% for 5.5 months. This wasn't because anything he did. I bruise easy. It looked as I was in a lot of pain. I wasn't. It was embarrassing, especially if I was with my husband lol. I planned a holiday a month after. I thought it will be fine by then. No concealer covered all the bruising. Im glad I didn't have to work 2 weeks after the surgery. People would have asked questions. I knew instantly I was going to love it. My nostrils were even! I was very happy to see it after the cast removal. My nostrils have shifted a little bit since then. That is because my nose was crooked for so long. My nose itself hasn't shifted. I had a little bit of scar tissue from the stitches underneath. I also scar easily. My stitches could have come out earlier because of the rapid heeling. I went in at 7 days like anyone else would. The Dr. offered to clean it up if I want for free. I don't know if I will or not. Who is going to be looking under my nose? Im a lucky girl to have the results that I do. Im not going to obsess over that. I have great air flow now! I could tell a huge difference when running. I also don't have a gaping mouth while sleeping. Im very pleased.
Very disappointed. Having previous surgery with Vucak went back for a tummy tuck. Not a lot of skin to be removed, abs back together. Ended up with an extremely high scar even after being told it would be hip to hip. After several conversations and he admitting a revision was needed - I was ghosted by the clinic. Very unprofessional and I’m left with a scar I cannot hide (was told to buy a new wardrobe by him). Hit n miss this surgeon, I expected better from him. Wouldn’t risk using him in case you get similar results and treatment.
I have been traumatised by the work this man did. Incomplete, loose skin left behind, jagged scars, asymmetrical sides, waist measurement the same as before surgery. Fobbed me off when I tried to explain my issues. He didn't really seem to know how to fix his work, suggesting further surgery. Then he just walked out of the consultation!
Terrible work. Made a mess of my face. Stitched me up like a hessian bag. Advised surgery for no reason. Never again. Hacked my face and was far from professional. I would not recommend this person. Always get a 2nd opinion.
Ok so I am the one in the family that missed out on the boob fairy. So ever since I was like 14 I have wanted the. After searching for the ‘right’ surgeon and scouring through countless reviews I have finally booked with the extremely nice people at QLD Plastic Surgery. I am a 32AA and well frankly can not wait to be able to look down and not see a gap in my bra. I live out of town so myself and surgeon had a Skype consultation and he had photos of my boobs that he looked at and said I would be best with 375cc - 400cc, he arranged for me to go try on a few sizers at the clinic here and afterwards I have decided to go with the 400cc round smooth under the muscle. The only thing I am worried about is ‘Boob Greed’. I have paid the full amount, signed my paperwork and now all I have to do is wait. I have a face to face consultation on the 8th to nail all the details in then on the 14th at 8am it’s go time. Will keep you all posted. Nervous but excited. Updated on 29 Nov 2017: Omg I am getting nervous but now I am wondering if I should go a bit bigger than 400cc! Updated on 8 Dec 2017: Ok so I had the last consultation yesterday. The PS said as I have hips and a booty I could go to 450 and it would Ben fine. So we popped in 400 and 450 sizers and yep I am going the 450cc. Made the booty more balanced. Nervous now. Thankfully he game me a script to calm me down but can’t take it till night before. Will keep updating you ladies. ???? Updated on 12 Dec 2017: Omg I am so freaking nervous. I find out this morning what time I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning and I am freaking out. I think I’ve read over the paperwork 100 times, I’ve second guessed myself on if my implants are going to be too big so many times the last few days even though I know it just nerves. So wish me luck and I’ll see you on the other side! Updated on 14 Dec 2017: So I went to the hospital at 8 had the op just after 10:30, and now home. It went smooth as. I was out like a light within 10 seconds. Been home since about 2ish. Chest is super tight and drains are in until tomorrow morning. Time for some sleep and I’ll updat and add pics later. Updated on 15 Dec 2017: Swelling is a [RS bleep], tightness is a [RS bleep] and no matter how many pillows I have they don’t stay comfortable. But apart from that not doing too bad. Did my first massage this morning and omg the pain sucked. Can’t wait till it stops. Bruising is not to bad at the moment so fingers crossed it isn’t to bad. Have my check up next week and I so can’t wait to shower tomorrow. But apart from that it’s weird, I finally have boobs. Yay! Updated on 18 Dec 2017: Check up went well. No signs of infection, all healing great and she is just super happy with it. Showed hubby how to massage them and told him how to change the tape etc. Think he was a bit grossed out with how it looked but is super helpful. Updated on 16 Jan 2018: Ok so I have been a bit MIA moving house etc. but boo is update. I am really loving my left as it seems to have dropped more than my right. So far everything is going fantastic. No longer sleeping sitting up and as a bonus can even lay on my side now yay. But as I said not a fan of my right. However in a sports bra the girls look amazing compared to where they were. Loving it definitely.
Hi all, I am doing well getting up and walking around a lot easier now. Still some shooting pain in right one. The drains are still doing their job and still loosing a far bit of blood. I find I hard to sleep sitting up and end up sliding down he bed. I put a warm pack over my bandages and hope that may increase the blood circulation for healing. I am still taking my vitamins, zinc, magnesium, vit C and a probiotics. Managed to do a poo this morning thank goodness as the pain killers really do make it hard to go. So I have been taking a laxative to help the system get going. I havnt been hungry, but making myself have some good healthy snacks. Will keep you posted love and big hugs ????Christine x Updated on 11 Jun 2017: The admin removed my profile photo saying I could not post nude pics on profile page. So it seems I have lost some of photos I posted. I shall continue to post my updates and photos. Updated on 11 Jun 2017: Today Sunday 11 th June 2017. Had to change profile photo. So you get to see my old work place. love and big hugs to all from The Aussie Gal Updated on 16 Jun 2017: Doing really well here, pain wise I have very little except a couple of twinges now and then. Bruising is pretty good and as expected. My left breast still has the "moon landing creator" in it, and the right is just powering ahead with healing and I love he shape. Hopefully the left will catch up and "round out" and fluff out. I think any breast with out implants no matter what shape or size is better than a breast with implants in them. I am happy and so glad for my decision. Will keep updating, stitches out Tuesday. Love and big hugs to all. Christine x Updated on 22 Jun 2017: Hi there, it's day 15 for me. Going to see PS today as he needs to check out this dent in my left breast. As he is not local and only flys in to do consulting and surgery, I have been squeezed in to see him today. I hope my left continues to fluff out. Here's some pics. Updated on 23 Jun 2017: I went or a check up yesterday, and my PS decided to cut into the dent. He used local anaesthetic and cut he stitches that were holding the tissue in place in the dent area. No pain at all when he did this. He placed a stitch in the incision hole he made. Then he cupped the breast and gave it an almighty squeeze, now that was painful!!! I thought my nipple would pop off..... but I have not had a good look at it yet as it is still taped up. He advised that because of the large cavity in my left breast, the tissues want to suck back into the cavity. I trust my PS 100% and the nurse ( his assistant) said this does happen from time to time. Will do pics in a few days when the holding stitch is removed on Wednesday. Love and big hugs to all :) x Updated on 28 Jun 2017: Hi all, I saw my After care Nurse Kathy. yesterday to have that stitch removed, Kathy decided to keep it in a little longer as I will begin some more stronger massage on my left breast to encourage it to fill out more. It still has a small dent but believe it will fluff up to match the right one. I have managed to start sleeping on my side again which is nice. I am still wearing my bra 24/7 and keeping the incisions taped up. I feel pretty good just a little tender in right from massaging it. I love my new shape and my back pain has diminished quite a lot. I am using bio oil as it soaks through the tape, but still holds well to the scar lines. After each shower I dry the tape off with my hair dryer, and massage the oil in, and every 3 days change the tape, panty liners are great to-place over the nipples and down the suture line and saves your bra from getting oil on it. Love and big hugs from Christine:)x Updated on 10 Jul 2017: Just past 4 weeks post op. I am doing really well and healing well. Had a little hiccup with an infection in my left one ( the one with the dent) but this was fixed with a course of antibiotics. Massaging as directed to try to bring the dent out. Another woman here is purchasing a cupping machine, I was thinking a breast pump may encourage the dent to fluff up. I shall look into that as a possible solution to the dent. But my PS who is just so amazing, believes with time it will fill out. Sorry about the photos , I am not that good at taking selfies. Lol... will post more soon. Love and big hugs :) x Christine ???????? Updated on 17 Jul 2017: Just thought I would post some new pics. Not very good t this selfie photos. But here they are.. dent is still there but slowly fluffing up. Thank you to you wonderful ladies on this site.
