I can't say enough good things about my Cellfina procedure! I credit this to Dr. Mark Song, who is truly a master at the procedure. I chose him because I've had such positive experiences with him and his whole office in the past, and when I learned that he was one of the first to perform Cellfina and that he frequently taught other doctors how to perform or improve upon the procedure, I decided I would go ahead and go for it (having hated my cellulite since childhood!). The procedure was not painful, just uncomfortable at points (getting the numbing shots, but they didn't hurt like I thought they would!). Dr. Mark and his staff make it a light and fun environment and I just lay there feeling the suction device cut my cellulite away, one dimple at a time. He was always checking in with me to see how I was doing and to explain what he was doing (He also offered that I could just escape and listen to whatever on my phone with headphones.). Immediately after I could see that the cellulite was gone, even though it was a bit bloody and quite bruised. Three weeks later, my bruising is gone and my derriere looks incredible! I wish I had done this a long, long time ago. Dr. Mark always underpromises and overdelivers, and that's why I keep going back to him for all my cosmetic needs (which, at 43, just keep growing ;-)). Especially for this procedure in particular, I truly would have travelled far to see him, since he has done it so much more than anyone else. I can't tell you how happy I am wearing my white pants and yoga pants, and I can't wait for summer so I can show off my skin! I know I'm supposed to offer "cons" but I can't find any. It's not fun having a bruised and sore bum, but that pain really isn't very bad and it passes quickly. If you're thinking of having Cellfina and you live anywhere in Southern CA (or even beyond), seriously, you should travel to see Dr. Mark Song. The procedure only takes an hour or so (plus some prep time when they mark you up), and you can drive yourself home, so it's really not a very big inconvenience and you can go about your life after it's finished. Truly, he is THE expert and he's also just the nicest person you'll ever meet--and his people are too!
When I first met with Dr. Mark Song (father of Kyle Song) in Irvine, I was interested in getting Cellfina done. Dr. Song examined me and we discussed my concerns. He was optimistic when he said he could address my concerns and told me I would be very happy with the results. He even said that he does all the Cellfina training, so I thought I was in the best hands! The day of my procedure was the day his optimism turned into pessimism. While marking up my "rear" he started to say out loud, "oh this one won't work, this one will not have a good result, etc." Which areas was he addressing? I asked him which dimples he was talking about? I was starting to doubt my decision right at that moment. The RN in the room with him (helping him to mark my buttock area was pointing out dimples to address and he was saying out loud, "yes, that would work." How is it a RN can have more knowledge than a Dr. who told me that he "trains" others in this procedure? They finished marking me up, he took pictures and showed me what his target areas were. He made me sign the picture he took of my back side marked up (I was NEVER told I had to do this)! I questioned him again about the areas he couldn't address during my "mark up" session? He pointed to the areas of my concern. I was shocked! I asked him why we couldn't address those areas that he originally said he could? He said, "no it won't work, after further examination I see that nothing can be done with them." I was heartbroken, and upset because I was mislead from my consultation that he could do what he said he could. The procedure was fine, and I did as I was told to post procedure. My first post-op visit was another upsetting appointment. I arrived on time, only to be rushed into a room, Dr. Mark Song came in and asked me to "drop" my pants where he examined his work and my healing. He squatted behind me, was very quiet, and then said, "okay, we'll see you in 4 weeks." I was shocked again. It was very unprofessional, and when I asked questions about my recovery and all the areas he did not addressed, he said, "nothing can be done, but exercise." He ushered me out of the room, told the receptionist to book an appointment 4 weeks out and then took a male patient in for Botox. It was a rush, and very uncomfortable. I booked my next appointment 4 weeks out, and a week before that appointment I received a call from Kelsie stating the doctor was going to be on vacation, and for me to call back to make another appointment. Again, very unprofessional behavior. I don't mind if he takes vacation, but you really didn't know about your vacation 4 weeks prior of me making my second post op appointment? To date, I put out $4,000 for this bad experience and I still have cellulite on my buttocks. When are doctors going to be held accountable for doing a bad job, lying to a prospective patient, then walking away with our hard earned money and lousy results? Would a real doctor please stand up?!
