Mark Morgan, MD

I have been very impressed with the staff & my surgeon, Dr. Morgan. I had been planning for years to get a Mommy Makeover once I was done having children & breastfeeding. We relocated to Wilmington from the Asheville area in December 2022 and I began researching plastic surgeons in Wilmington, Raleigh & Charlotte. I made my decision to go with Dr. Morgan after reading reviews on him & his surgical skills on Real Self, Facebook, and Google. On the internet, you will not find many photos of his work which did make me a little nervous but at my consultation, he provided photos of his work. My consultation for the surgery was September 6th, 2023. We discussed what I wanted my outcome to be, what my problem areas were & his plan of action to achieve those goals. He was very kind, informative & made me feel totally comfortable with going through with the surgery. That day, I paid my deposit of $600 to secure my surgery date. My pre-op appointment was September 27th & at that appointment, the payment for the surgery was due. During my appointment, his nurse discussed all the information needed for the big day and took my before photos. Also, to add, I had to bring my toddler with me to my appointments due to lack of child care & EVERYONE including Dr. Morgan was so kind, patient & understanding. They engaged with my child & made me feel even more secure in my decision to go with them. Surgery was October 10th. I arrived at 11:00 for my 12:00 appointment. Before the surgery, I had to take a pregnancy test [which is smart because up until that point, they have to take your word on your health] and they had me get into my surgery clothing. From the time I arrived to when I woke from surgery, everyone was kind, funny, and consistently made me feel comfortable. Surgery was 4 1/2 hours and I did not spend much time in recovery. My husband drove me there & home and since then, I’ve been recovering wonderfully at home.

I had a bilateral breast reduction with a lift and a standard tummy tuck. At the end of the surgery, they administered Exparel [an injection given at the surgical sites to provide numbing for 3 days] which brought me significant comfort. I have pain medication, nausea medication, antibiotics, & a muscle relaxer. All the medication has been great for my healing & I’ve been ensuring I consume a lot of healthy foods, protein & protein shakes. Day 1 at home I ended up developing a low grade fever due to not taking deep breaths & coughing. So, it is super important to do that! Day 2 and I am feeling much better. I still struggle to cough but I’m making sure I take deep breaths. Day 2 I changed my dressings and showered. I have to walk everywhere with a slight hunch because my tummy is so tight & standing straight is something I cannot rush. This being my first surgery, I have no complaints at all. Dr. Morgan & his nurse provided their numbers in case I have questions or an emergency. My scars are thin & will heal wonderfully over time. I am glad I chose Dr. Morgan & his practice to do my surgery & I look forward to seeing my body heal & resume normal activities.

After trying to enjoy the summer with my new stomach and breasts, it’s been gut wrenching how many comments I received about my breasts. They are drooping and my nipples point to the ceiling, not forward. It makes me so self conscious. My husband has stated that my boobs are still “substantial” and I wanted them to go as small as possible but keep it proportional to my body. My stomach is flat but as I feared, I have love handles and back fat. The body I can work on but my nipples and boobs, I can’t. I have reached out to get a revision due to error and I am waiting to hear back. I will update when I hear something from the surgeon.

Absolutely efficient and professional staff! Dr Morgan is personal and attentive to detail. He listens, suggests and provides the individual attention and care you want, and gave me an outcome that is fabulous. I look younger and refreshed , exactly the outcome I wanted. I highly recommend this talented surgeon!

Dr. Morgan and his team went above and beyond from the moment I met them. He explained everything in detail at my consultation and answered any and all questions I had about the procedure along with expectations. Thanks to him I’m no longer ashamed or embarrassed of my breasts. Thank you Dr. Morgan!

Had a breast lift and implants exchange after previous augmentation with Dr. Morgan. Much time had passed and I wanted to change my size and some skin that had begun to sag with age.From start to finish, Dr. Morgan was friendly and knowledgeable. I always felt like I was in the best of hands. He clearly listened to my goals and explained how we could accomplish the look I wanted to achieve. His bedside manner is second to none and his entire staff were supportive and made me feel at ease both before and after surgery. I could not be happier with my results! I was recommended to Dr. Morgan for a breast augmentation and I have been so thankful and impressed with him and his staff. They made me feel so comfortable and answered any and all questions I had. His work is amazing and I can’t even express how obsessed I am with my new look!

After having VSG in 2019, I lost 127 lbs. and was left with significant excess skin and subcutaneous fat in my abdomen. I submitted a consultation request via the Wilmington Plastic Surgery website and received a call to schedule the consultation within 24 hours. I scheduled my abdominoplasty within 1 week of the consultation.

Because I have an autoimmune condition and other health issues, I knew my case would be complicated; however, Dr. Morgan and his team reviewed my medical history and scheduled my procedure at Atlantic Surgery Center. The procedure went well, but I did experience a complication approximately 4 hours after returning home that required the attention of paramedics. My boyfriend called Dr. Morgan and his nurse, Robin, who provided their cell phone numbers in case of emergency. Both consulted with the paramedics over the phone and ensured that I could be seen by them as soon as possible.

Other than the initial complication that required paramedics, the first 12 days post-op were relatively uneventful. On the 13th day, the eschar wound at my incision opened and caused air to pull through the eschar into the JP drain. Once again, Dr. Morgan and his team of nurses - Laura and Robin - were happy to respond over the weekend and ensure I could be seen as soon as possible on Monday.

I am 15 days post-op and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Morgan, Robin, and Laura. They have gone out of their way to make every step of this process as easy as possible. I am confident that there is no better plastic surgery team in the Wilmington area and highly recommend them to anyone considering a tummy tuck.

I never intended to ever have a breast reduction. After having left breast pain for over a year, I was begging my GP for help! He referred me to Dr. Morgan and I feel blessed that I was given the opportunity to be one of his patients. From the first visit he knew exactly what I needed when I was still in shock to be sitting in one of his exam rooms. Robin made me feel as if I had been a friend of hers for years. Then you throw Laura into the mix and it is the perfect trio. I was extremely nervous and almost embarrassed as it is not something I would normally voluntarily do or even discuss. They were able to answer all of my questions and really unpack what my journey with them was going to look like. So on the day of surgery, every person that was in the OR came into the prep room to speak with me and gave me the chance to ask any questions regarding anesthesia and the procedure in general. Even Dr. Morgan came into the prep room to sit down and chat as he did his markings. Due to Covid, I was not able to have my husband with me so this made me really feel like I had the support of the people who cared about me. By the time I got to the OR I was able to relax and allow them to be the experts. He is by far an expert, my results are far better than I expected or could have imagined, I am two weeks post op and I had ZERO bruising and minimal swelling, I don't even know how that is possible. I did not think something like this would really make me feel any differently about my body, I was wrong, I feel like a brand new person. I wish I could give them more stars. I want everyone who is on the fence or feeling too scared to have a breast reduction or even anyone who is looking for someone who will give them good care, Dr Morgan and his team is the place to go. If I had to do this all over again I would travel across the world to have his team. From the bottom of my heart Thank you WPS for this wonderful experience!

I would recommend Dr. Morgan and his staff to anyone. They are all very friendly, professional and answer all your questions and concerns. Dr. Morgan did a very good job and I am very satisfied with my outcome.

Following being diagnosed with breast cancer, I was referred to Dr. Morgan. I have never found a doctor so caring with a staff that is so amazing. I was treated with respect and care and I actually felt like family when I went to the office. I think hands-down Dr. Morgan and his staff are the best plastic surgery group in Wilmington. My final results are amazing and I could not be happier .
