I researched for a long time about getting my breasts done. After two kids they were sagging and stretched. I lost 3 1/2 stone in 5 months and this still didn’t shrink my breasts. After my friend had her surgery done with Dr Mark Butterworth and I experienced his mannerisms it made me more sure he is who I wanted to carry out mine. I had an uplift/small reduction and implant done on the 3rd of July 2019. Everything went brilliantly however general anaesthetic doesn’t agree well with me as I was rather sick. My main concern was wanting a full rounded breast and no sagging. I wanted to remain about the same cup size I was previous. From bandages I can see it’s all going well healing wise and I’ve to go back in one weeks time to look at the wounds. This will be when I’ll see my nipples and incisions for the first time. Over all I am so happy, Mark was brilliant and made me feel so relaxed.
I have had the worst back ache for years and struggled to exercise without pain! I took the plunge and got a breast reduction last week and is by far the best decision I have ever made! So happy with my natural results so far! Although there has been pain it has been minimal and controlled using painkillers! It is slightly uncomfortable not goin to lie but I didn't expect anything less! Kind of feels like a weight is on my chest but this is getting better each day! I am so much more confident in my body and can wear so many more clothes like other girls my age e.g plunge dresses or backless outfits I previously would have required a bra!
Didn't listen to what I wanted, I had a big dorsal hump and my nose hung down at the tip and I had exposed nostrils, I went back in after surgery he wasn't interested when I said I could feel the Dosal hump hadn't been reduced and my nostrils were still exposed. He said I was to give it time and there was still swelling, I left it a few years and went back to say I really wasn't happy my nose sits squint, it droops down and the whole thing is as worse as it started he said there was nothing he could do and it cost more for a revised surgery! I'm now looking for another surgeon to correct it but going to have to pay double for revised rhynoplasty
I underwent a rhinoplasty and unilateral otoplasty with Mr Butterworth in April 2017. Mr Butterworth did not take any pre-operative photos and did not provide any simulated images to illustrate what he proposed to do. Having never met with another surgeon at that time, I didn't realise this wasn't normal. The pre-op photos I have provided with my review were taken on my own iphone. The otoplasty procedure failed entirely and my ear never changed position in the slightest. I have been left with a visible blue stitch in my ear which serves no purpose. The rhinoplasty was extremely poor and has left me with: * uneven and asymmetrical nostrils * visible scarring * a rounded over-shortened nose with no definition. Mr Butterworth dismissed and brushed off my concerns throughout my recovery, and the Hospital Director at Spire Murrayfield Hospital has refused to engaged with me over my official complaint which was initiated one year ago, with no resolution to date. Next week I will undergo a revision surgery with an expert in London. By the time this is all finished, adding the cost of my initial surgery, various consultations to establish what could be done to fix it, and the cost of my revision surgery and all associated travel and accommodation, I will have spent well in excess of £20,000. Disgusting from the surgeon, disgusting from the hospital group. Avoid like the plague.
I never hated my nose but in photos I didn't like my large nostrils and wanted a more refined tip. I researched rhinoplasty for along time and the more I read the more scared I became, however I still decided to go ahead with it. I am currently 9 weeks post op and it is one of the scariest journeys waiting to see your final outcome, some days I feel hopeful I'm going to be very happy and others completely unsure, waiting for the swelling to subside is the hardest part, especially like me if it has been uneven. Most rhino patients will know what it's like! You really do look in the mirror every hour to see if it has changed, I'm not going to add my surgeons details until I can give an accurate review but I will add a before and my nose as it is 9 weeks post op Updated on 9 Dec 2015: This is me 9 weeks post op, not 5 months as its states!! Still swollen in tip Updated on 11 Dec 2015: Updated on 28 Jun 2016: Hi just thought I would update, I am now 9 months post op, nose still seems to be pulling to one side but not sure it's worth the risk and worry of a revision?! Updated on 29 Jun 2016: Updated on 20 Apr 2017: Worst mistake of my life, never choose cost over experience. Thankfully after searching and a lot of money I have had my revision and I am happy, pictures are on my other review Updated on 17 May 2017: This is what I was left with, see my other review for more photos and after revision with another surgeon
Hi. It would not be normal to have a yellow discharge so long after surgery. From the photographs the wound looks a little red. You should go and see your surgeon ASAP as you may need antibiotics
