Hello and thank you for your question. Yes you can go back and use your old aligners to kind of "retreat" yourself. We tell our patients to keep all aligners just in case something like this happens. However I do recommend that you have your dentist/orthodontist monitor your progress. There are many underlying issues that can happen and not having a trained professional monitor you can be dangerous. I hope this helps
Thank you for question. Acceledent is meant to be used once a day for a continuous 20 minutes. Ideally it shoud be at the same time everyday, but a minimum of a 12 hour time span between treatments should be sufficent. I hope this helps. Good luck with your treamtent its an exciting time!
Thank you for your question. As a top1% Invisalign provider, it is completely normal to order the retainer off the last aligner. The retainers are usually tighter because they are a little thicker, they have to last longer then a regular aligner would. Don't worry your dentist is following protocol. Your teeth should have been perfect with the last aligner and that is the mold used to hold them. I hope this helps
Hello Thank you for the photos. Retreating your case is dependent on a couple of factors. Your age, when the braces were removed, how long the retainers have not been worn and what you looked like before the braces. If you are still in your teens you still may be growing in which it is best to wait till after growth, for girls growth stops between 17-22, before retreating your case. What I would be looking for is your lower jaw growth. However looking at your retainers fit they seem to not fit well, air spaces. I suggest you wear them full time for 2-4 weeks and see if there is improvement. If new treatment is indicated and your bite doesn't change too much you can use Invisalign and probably be 9-12 month treatment time. Hopefully this helps. Dr. Clemente
