I found Dr. Weishar when I needed her the most! As a sufferer of melasma for many years, I was at my wits ends with treatments that promised results and failed time and time again! My skin was angry and irritated constantly! I've seen numerous dermatologists over the years and no one provided more care or understanding then Dr. Weishar. She answered my questions and helped ease my concerns. I elected to have the PICO laser done, and during a great time might I add - they had a special going on! I was in luck! I also was given a compounded medication unique to my skin. Now that is service! Over the past two months, my skin has greatly improved. To the point where I don't even recognize myself, but in a good way! I purchased her sunscreen as well to maintain my results and honestly, it's the best I've used, hands down! I've used everything from high end department store to drugstore and this is the holy grail! No more breakouts either! I was constantly struggling to maintain not only a more balanced skin tone, but less acne. Please, if you struggled like me call Dr. Weishar for an appointment today! You won't be sorry! Brandy
Dr. Weishar gave me my first Botox treatment and it was a fantastic experience! I have a very active forehead, and was interested in being treated to prevent lines from being permanently etched on my forehead as I grow older. She was very attentive to my concerns, and recommended I give "Baby Botox" a try! She used a small amount of the product and diluted it so it would spread across the entire area. The injections were practically painless, and she even used a device she calls her "magic wand" to help distract me from the discomfort. After the injections, I was given thorough instructions and invited back for a check-in and a complimentary touch-up if needed! After the Botox had the chance to set-in, she added a few additional units (better to add then over-do it the first time!) and I looked AMAZING! I keep getting complimented on how great my skin and forehead look! Between this experience and my other visits to the office for acne treatment and facials, I can confidently say this is THE place to go! Thank you Dr. Weishar and staff for being so great!
I've loved my experience. I had three moles on my face removed (all for cosmetic reasons), and I had lip injections. All in one visit. The whole thing took about 35 minutes, and that included taking selfies (to document before and after) and chit chatting. I was very nervous, but the staff was so great about making me feel comfortable. Everyone in the office is so friendly. Dr. Weishar was so professional, but really warm and friendly. She feels like a great friend. She answered all of my questions, and really listened to me when it came time for the lip injections. She did the lip injections a little at a time, and handed me a mirror so I could see each step. She asked for feedback, and took direction from me about how I wanted my lips to look. It was very much a collaboration, which felt nice. I felt in control, which is a good thing ( esp when a procedure is being done to your face)! She really wanted to make sure I was happy with the results. The mole removal was so simple, fast, and painless. I can't believe I waited so long to do it. The most painful part (if you even want to call it that) was the numbing in the beginning. They numb the area with a needle, which feels like a tiny pinch. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 1 or 2. If you have no tolerance for pain, maybe it's a 4. The actual removal (I had the punch method done, which is when they use a tiny scalpel to removes the mole and "root", so it can't grow back), was all of 2 seconds. It was so fast and painless, I was shocked! Then they stitch up the area, which took another 2-3 minutes. Again, all painless. They put like tiny tan bandages over the area when it was all done. I am scheduled to come back next week to have the stitches removed. I'll post the pictures I have now, and will give an update.
I had spider veins appearing on the backs of my knees and up the sides of my calves but was nervous about sclerotherapy because I heard it was painful. This was so much easier than expected! Dr. Weishar used a glycerin solution and it wasn't nearly as painful as saline is supposed to be. The recovery time was minimal and there was little to no discomfort after the procedure. My legs look great, as well!
Treatment was quick, face was red only a few days. Not bad. Able to go to work with minimal people knowing i had done something.
The doctor doesn't do the treatment. She wasn't even there. It has been over a year. Zero results. I put $500 down to "hold" the appointment. I was quoted $2500 total. They charged me $3000. Don't do it. At least not here.
We have seen this in about 15% of our patients. It responds very quickly and well to low dose topical steroids (the kind you can but without a prescription at the drug store labelled Cortisone). I recommend treatment as soon as it happens as some patients who are very sensitive to pigmentation may start to see some come back if they do not treat the outbreak. Luckily there have been no long term or adverse effects once you treat it and it usually goes away in a few days. If you have a second treatment I would advise starting the Cortisone right away twice a day. Of course check with your doctor as well :)
The Cutera Enlighten laser gives the physician the widest range of options and power to treat any brown spot on the skin. That said, not all brown spots are alike and it takes a skilled experienced laser physician to evaluate your areas to see why they have not responded in the past. So the problem could be that your spots may be more resistant to treatment, or that the device that was used was either not the best, or was not utilized to get the most results. The device+ the experience and knowledge of the physician = the best results!!
The Q switched Nd:YAG laser targets pigment- both in your tattoo and in the melanin in your hair shaft. Most hair that is not white or very blond with absorb some. I have definitely seen permanent hair loss in treating a tattoo in a hair bearing area (on the leg). I would proceed only with great caution to treat someone's eyebrow tattoo as there CAN be permanent thinning and/or loss of hair. Although typically the hair does grow back with Nd:YAG laser sometimes it can be permanent- I know because I treated my own legs and the hair never grew back!!
Hi there- I don't think there is any need to worry-yet. Often times fillers can cause a bit of swelling right after injection (within the first 2 weeks) that will resolve on its own. Hopefully you were injected with one of the hyaluronic acid fillers- Restylane, Juvederm and Belotero- which can easily be reduced or dissolved if this persists. Be careful about asking for this too early as it might take away the results that you were looking for. And lastly please make sure that the practitioner that you go to is very experienced in fillers. Not all Board Certified doctors have the kind of experience to produce the best results.
Hi Mariab20- Some tattoos are proving very hard to remove. It looks like part of your tattoo responded to the treatments that you have had. The "outline" my contain other colors mixed together which may need several different wavelengths to remove- do you know if this has been done? Also we are getting some good responses to using fractional CO2 lasers as part of our treatments for tattoos and this may help you as well.
