I am currently on day four post-op, but I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Tag and my experience with my new boobies! The day of surgery I was very nervous as to be expected, but everything went great. We were originally going to go with 415ccs and 435 ccs, but when I went under anesthesia Dr. Tag said it was not proportionate, so we went with 415 ccs in the left and 455 ccs in the right. The brand of implants are Moderate Plus Smooth Silicone with Sientra. Remember, some of our breast are sisters not twins. I am still contemplating if I want to provide pictures with no clothes on, but I wear a 32A bombshell bra from Victoria Secret and was going for a Full C/Small D. Day of Surgery: I did not feel any pain after the anesthesia and the numbing wore off, I even went to the store (I most definitely took it easy, did not pick up anything. I really just wanted to keep moving, so I would not obtain blood clots). Still no severe pain, I would say my pain has stayed at a consistent level between 4-5 out of 10 (ten being the worst). I have only been taking Tylenol and antibiotics. My doctor did prescribe oxycodone, but I wanted to stay away from them as much as I could. I was not able to lift my arms pass the T-Rex arms stage, I felt a lot of pressure in the left breast (Dr. Tag did start with this side), and I felt a weird pain in the my right underarm. At the time, I was not aware of my sizing. Again this was something that can be managed with Tylenol! Dr. Tag also contacted me to see how I was doing and sent me pictures of what my implants looked like before the Frankenstein-Boob occurred. Also I slept with a pregnancy pillow with lots of pillows behind me. I would highly recommend this, my back has not hurt once! Day 2 Post-Op: Nothing really changed, I felt pressure, but that is also to be expected. They were hard at the top. A lot of people I have spoken to gave me the analogy of when you do an intense upper body workout, but really it felt like someone was sitting on my chest. You lose your breathe very easily, but other than that all is going well. I also went to see Dr. Tag today and he said everything looked great and gave me a new surgical bra and stated I could start taking Advil tomorrow. I also have to keep gauze in between my chest and a wrap around my chest for a week. Day 3 Post-Op: Was able to take a shower 48 hours post-op. I went outside again, and I extended my time from taking the pain meds, would not recommend that, but the pain level was a 5.5-6. Later this night, I felt a sharp pain where the incision is and I text Dr. Tag and he said that this was completely normal, so I tried not to worry! Day 4 Post-Op: Both breast are still hard to the touch, but I was able to move both arms today and was practically able to take a shower by myself. I could not go as vigorous as I would like, but it was something. I am trying to go as slow as I can and not damage or cause any pain. I still have a few tingles where my incision is, but other than that we are moving a little faster everyday. I also have not been able to lift myself up, so keep that in mine; you will most definitely need someone to assist you. And when I do lift up, I feel heaviness and pressure! Updated on 10 Apr 2023: Here are some pictures pre-breast surgery, reference photos, and post-breast surgery. I am 135 lbs (with clothes on--at least this is what my primary care stated) and I am 5'4 1/2. My reference photos consist of different celebrities or people I saw on TikTok or YouTube. Dr. Tag has exceeded my expectations, I am so happy with them! As of right now, they are in the Frankenstein-Boob stage, but once they fluff and settle they are going to look even more incredible. Also, please no disturbing DMs who are not interested in a breast augmentation; I will report you and block you! Updated on 2 May 2023: Week 1: I was experiencing a little bit of pain (still at a scale of 4-5; nothing unbearable). The shortness of breath was the worst. At the time, I did have a band wrapped around my chest and going up and down the steps made me feel like I was out of breath and I was speaking like I was out of breath. Week 2: I went back to see Dr. Tag and he stated I could take the compression off and the shortness of breath did subside. I believe at this point, I was weaning myself off of Advil and Tylenol (never took the Oxycodone) and I was finished with the antibiotics. I was also able to start massaging them and applying scar cream. Truly cannot see the scars, because they are under the crease, but I still apply the scar cream once a day (we are four weeks out at this point). Week 3: Completely off of the pain meds; still wearing my surgical bra everyday and night. I believe this surgical bra is from Fruit of the Loom and there are clasps in the front. Week 4: Saw Dr. Tag today (May 2nd), I can start shopping for bras--he stated that they will lower because they are still high, but the size itself is still the same. Only can do light cardio, absolutely no heavy lifting until next month. Overall, still very much obsessed with them!
I call Dr Tag THE BOOB GOD. I had a breast augmentation 15 years ago and I was never fully satisfied with the results. I was very reluctant to have the procedure done again as I was afraid I was going to be out more money, time and just left with even more frustration. I was so wrong. The first time I met Dr. Tag I instantly felt assured I was making the right decision. His bed side manor is unlike any other Dr/Surgeon I have ever met. He makes you feel like you have been friends for years, however don't let his charm fool you...He is BRILLIANT and has perfected his art. During my consults with him I was unsure exactly what size I wanted but I felt comfortable that Dr. Tag knew exactly what I wanted so I let him make the final call on size during surgery and my outcome was PERFECT BOOBS! If you are on the fence about any type of procedure with Dr. Tag, DO IT! You absolutely will not regret it and U DESERVE IT!
I never thought I would be able to achieve the results I have in such a short time. I am 2 months out of surgery now and I look and feel great. Everything about Dr. Tag is amazing; bedside manner, personality, surgery skills. He makes you feel so comfortable. I knew the day I went for my consult he was who I wanted to operate on me. I cancelled other consults because I had found The One. I even became emotional during the consult because I didn't think getting the surgery was possible. I never expected results this great. If I could do it all again, I would choose Dr. Tag over and over again.
Dr. Taghizadeh is a gifted magician with a genuine, comforting nature! He is so knowledgeable and he walks you through the experience step by step. He’s so wise and humble! His artistic approach to reconstructing my lifeless breasts was remarkable! I was suffering for many years from neck back and shoulder pain. The weight of my breasts were causing migraines and continuous jolting pain that required me to constantly use a heating pad daily while suffering from excruciating pain in silence. I feel like a brand new woman and I now feel free to pursue my endeavors with more confidence and courage! All of Dr. Tag’s staff is exceptional as well and they are always friendly and reassuring. They’re truly a dream team! My one on one experience with Ann, Karen and Dr. Tag reaffirmed my faith in human concern and decency. They went above and beyond to ensure that my pre op and post op care was effortlessly maintained. I personally suffer from excessive scarring on my chest and I previously would hyper fixate on my scarring. I was constantly reassured that I looked fantastic and to my surprise the way the surgery was performed eliminated a considerable amount of the appearance of scarring! My results are honestly like a well crafted masterpiece! The hospital staff at St. Agnes was also extremely caring and efficient! I have never been so pampered and nurtured in my life! I mattered to each and every one of them throughout the process! From registration, to the amazing nursing staff, to the thorough anesthesiology team, and the phenomenal nurse who took care of me in the recovery area directly after my surgery, I was seen as a top priority! I mattered! My breast reduction surgery performed by Dr. Taghizadeh was the most physically and emotionally fulfilling and extraordinary medical experience I’ve ever had in my life! Thank you for giving me a fresh start and a renewed confidence! I’m truly appreciative!
I was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer and opted for a double mastectomy with reconstruction. From the first consultation to the final reconstruction, Dr. Tag was honest, considerate, empathetic, informative and caring. He always made sure that I was feeling comfortable and answered all of my questions. He makes sure to make himself available to answer any questions or concerns even when I was not at an appointment. Not only was my experience with Dr. Tag great, I am very happy with my physical results. I would recommend Dr. Tag to any of my family and friends.
After months of going back and forth over getting a breast lift/augmentation, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Tag and I could not be happier. Through every step from the initial consult to the post-op appointments, he made me feel so comfortable and is always readily available to listen, answer questions and provide quick feedback. Aside from being so thrilled with my new breasts (they look amazing), I’m even happier that I found a doctor that is so genuine and caring. I’ll definitely be back for more. I can’t say “thank you” enough!
First and foremost, I must say “Thank You” to Dr. Maakan Taghizadeh (a.k.a. Dr. Tag) for providing superb service and diligent care. Thank you for making my health and safety a priority as well as being proactive with my recovery process. Thank you for being willing to listen to my concerns, answering all of my questions, and ensuring that I received the best care available by not only you but by your staff at the office and by the hospital staff as well. Thank you for making me feel welcome and demonstrating the upmost respect to not only me but my family as well. Thank you for taking time to explain the process to my family members who were assisting me during my recovery as to ease their mind and give them a sense of peace about the surgery. Most of all, just thank you for being you, a doctor with exceptional skills and a man with truly kind and impeccable character. I am delighted to report that I just completed my third surgery with Dr. Maakan Taghizadeh (a.k.a. Dr. Tag). I know some of you may be a bit confused when I said THIRD surgery, but to clarify, he has been the remarkable surgeon who has graciously agreed to embark on my weight loss and better quality of life journey with me. Specifically, he has successfully and beautifully removed excess skin from my stomach region (1st surgery), thighs (2nd surgery), and just recently, my arms (3rd surgery). Each of my surgeries yielded remarkable results; my scars healed beautifully and my quality of life was enriched (no more pain from sagging skin, more intense workouts, and clothes are fitting better). If you want to know what makes Dr. Tag stand out above the rest of plastic surgeons, it is simple, it is his interaction and attentive care. Prior to surgeries, he will explain the process in full detail to you (including risks and how the procedure will go), inform you of methods of how to properly heal (like scar massaging), and ensure that your mind is at ease prior to surgery. Even post-surgery, he will check on you constantly to make sure that your healing is progressing successfully and be on call for whenever you need him. As someone who has various doctors (i.e. dermatologists, allergist, PCP, etc.), I can truly say that I receive care from Dr. Tag that is incomparable. I would be remise if I didn’t take a moment to give special recognition to Dr. Tag’s team. His support team, nurses and office assistant, are the best cohesive medical team that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The team is as kind and supportive as Dr. Tag. They work with you during the entire process and are exceeding knowledgeable about the procedures. They provide an abundance of guidance and support; not to mention, they have a great spirit that just uplifts you the moment you walk through the door. All in all, Dr. Maakan Taghizadeh (a.k.a. Dr. Tag) and his team are the best and only choice for you when seeking to have plastic surgery. Once again, I just want to thank Dr. Tag and his team from the bottom of my heart. I am truly blessed that I found him and have no regrets with my decision!
My experience with Dr. Tag was wonderful! I wish I could give him 10 stars! I had a breast reduction procedure and he did an exceptional job. My breast look like I had an breast augmentation. With minimum scaring after 2 weeks, my breast are perky and they look great. He even gave me great new nipples that I love! He listened to all my concerns and exceeded my expectations. He and his staff were very welcoming and comforting. I love how personable he is! Everytime I come to his office I am greeted with a hug by him, making me feel like a family member rather then a patient.I would highly reccomend him to anyone!
After raising two sons by myself and just shy of my 55th birthday, I wanted to do something for me. I wanted a tummy tuck, but I was scared. One reason was that in my 30s I had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Dr. Taghizadeh, or Tag as I was told everybody affectionately calls him, stood out from all other doctors I'd seen the first minute of my consultation. His wide smile felt true and reassuring. He asked questions. Then listened. He is an understanding, caring, and non-judgmental professional. Instead of trying to convince me about one thing or the other, he answered my questions and left the decisions to me. He was so focused on my results and me that I felt I was his only patient. I have accompanied enough girlfriends to surgery to know what it feels to be treated, under pretenses of “great service”, like cattle with a dollar sign. Once the surgery and follow ups are over they’re done and the only way to bring back their smile is more money. That’s why Dr. Tag is different. That’s why I think he is an amazing doctor who delivers amazing results. I look great, feel great, and can't wait for the summer! Thank you!
When I was diagnosed with bi-lateral breast cancer I knew that I was going to proceed with a double mastectomy. My very first appointment with Dr. Tag, he had previously consulted with my surgical oncologist and was knowledgeable of my background, saving me from having to tell my story, which was still very raw at the time. He thoroughly reviewed all of my options, answered all of our questions (and we had a lot) and supported my decisions. I had other opinions but ultimately chose Dr. Tag for a variety of reasons including his constant contact with my surgical oncologist, his willingness to research and look at all options, discuss and consider my feel and desires and ultimately his extremely approachable personality! Any time I had concerns regarding the process or my recovery, he saw me as soon as possible in the office to waylay my fears. He has made me extremely comfortable throughout this extremely uncomfortable process. Words cannot express my appreciation for his professionalism and constant concern for my emotional and physical well-being.
Hi, thanks for your question. No, you are certainly not "too old" for implants. I would meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in-person examination and to discuss what your goals are for your breasts and what options are available to you. Best wishes, Dr. Tag
Hi, thanks for your question. The only way to entirely avoid animation deformity is to place the implant over the muscle. The limitations with this are thickness of breast tissue, which can determine how noticeable the implant would be. To asses this, you would need an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what the best choice for you is. Best of luck, Dr. Tag.
Hi, thanks for your question. It is difficult to predict what the changes to your breasts will be, but common changes are decreased volume, increased sagginess and asymmetry. These changes would make it more likely that you would require a revision. I usually tell my patients if they are planning to get pregnant in the next year or so, it may be best to wait until after pregnancy to save yourself and the extra surgery and the money. Best of luck, Dr. Tag
Hi, thanks for your question.Yes, most silicone implants are referred to as "gummy bear" implants, whether they are shaped or round. Shaped and round implants come in high profile. Best of luck, Dr. Tag
There are multiple factors to consider in this situation. Smaller implants will be less noticeable and less heavy. Silicone is softer and more natural feeling than saline. If you have enough breast tissue, sometimes over the muscle can be better than under to prevent animation deformity. If you have a small amount of breast tissue, the implant may be more noticeable and under the muscle would be a better choice. I have plenty of patients who are extremely active in the fitness community and have implants under the muscle and are happy with their results. I would recommend speaking further with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. Best of luck, Dr. Tag
