I had an amazing experience with Dr. Cobbins and her staff. Dr. Cobbins is very professional, friendly and informative. My recuperation was wonderful, no pain. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a great plastic surgery experience.
Dr. Cobbins performed a submental liposuction on me and my chin/neck look amazing - such a big difference between my before and after. I did a lot of research before choosing her and I am so glad I did! Go in for your consult, you won’t be disappointed!
Dr Cobbins is a truly gifted surgeon. She is very upfront and honest about what is possible. She is not going to try and convince you to do more. I had a bilateral breast lift with augmentation in 09/20. She took her time to explain everything how it worked and what would be done. I never questioned her skill or honesty.
41 year old mother of 3 I finally feel like my old self. I've always naturally had a small figure with large breast but after nursing my last 2 children my breast deflated. It was recommended that wait at least 1 full year after nursing before I get surgery so I did and I am so pleased with my results. I've included some before pictures of the 3 phases; Myself naturally "DD" , Myself after I nursed my children; and Myself after my surgery.
Dr. Cobbins provided straightforward and effective treatments: botox for forehead wrinkles and restylane for deep glabellar lines. The doctor gave a thorough consultation and the treatment was fast and easy. I recovered from the botox treatment immediately and had about a week of expected minor bruising and swelling from the restylane. Results look natural and had the effect I was hoping for.
Went to Dr. Cobbins for a bit of botox (for the dreaded "11's" and lines forming around the eyes) and some filler for nasolabial folds. She ended up also putting filler on top of my cheek bones. Very natural looking results, but there was (and still is) a bit of asymmetry, even after going back for a touch up/ correction. Most people wouldn't notice but naturally it's driving me crazy lol. Love the botox but not too impressed with the filler.
I've been considering having breast augmentation for well over 10 years but my fears of possible complications stopped me from doing it sooner. I've had 5 consultations with top plastic surgeons in the Chicago land area but Dr. Cobbins was the only one who took the time to talk to me about all of my concerns (and I had a lot!) I never felt rushed and I felt really comfortable. She's very personable and knowledgeable, I had no doubts that she was the right choice for me. My procedure went really well and I'm beyond happy with my results.
Dr. Cobbins is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend her services to anyone interested. She is incredibly professional, emphatic, and responsive. I had been to several consultations before I met with her, but I knew she was the one within 30 seconds of meeting. She was very clear and reasonable about my anticipated results. She listened to what I wanted and clarified what was realistic. I appreciated her honesty and it gave me a better understanding of what to expect. I scheduled the surgery with her nurse, Katie, (who is also phenomenal) and saw Dr. Cobbins a few weeks later for my preoperative appointment. I genuinely felt she was as excited as I was. She was very clear about what to expect the day before surgery, day after surgery, and follow-up instructions. She answered every single question and was available by phone, if I had any additional questions after I left. The day of surgery, I felt incredibly supported by Dr. Cobbins and Katie who have excellent bedside manner. I remember waking up after surgery with Katie sitting by me and I felt so relieved. The receptionists even entertained my mom while she was waiting for me to be discharged and I appreciate the kindness. I saw both of them again a few days later and Dr. Cobbins even met me on the weekend (when their office is technically closed) to remove the drain. The results were nothing less than perfect. I was so pleased with their size and shape, plus the scarring seems really minimal. Dr. Cobbins has also continued to follow-up consistently and has been available for additional questions/concerns. I don't think I will be able to express how much I appreciate her and her staff. Don't go to any other surgeon!
Dr. Cobbins did my tummy in February. She has an awesome beside manner and is extremely skilled. I am 52 and knew I could do 1000 sit ups a day and never lose the bulge in my tummy. Lipo was the way to go. Amazing - After a painless procedure that took a little under two hours I walked from her office
Dr. Cobbins did a great job. She was the first (and only) doctor I went to for a consult. When I met Dr. Cobbins she made me feel really comfortable right away and was super upbeat. Everything looks and feels great.
When I look at your photos you appear to be a good candidate for breast implants alone. There are many newer options of breast implants that are fuller in profile, and these implants are designed to add more volume (or fullness) to the upper pole of your breasts. Make an appointment to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and they will help guide you in the right direction.
A lot of my patients undergo breast augmentation surgery prior to pregnancy and they have not reported abnormal pain. One thing to keep in mind is that your breast tissue will likely enlarge with pregnancy and breast milk production, and this occurs whether or not implants are in place. On rare occasions, stretch marks can appear after breast augmentation, however having implants in place during pregnancy does not increase your risk of developing stretch marks. Stretch marks are related to a rapid growth of tissues, and can occur with or without an implant.
There are many variables that go into implant size/choice. The important thing to understand is that your surgeon will definitely help you make this decision. When deciding upon which profile to choose, the lower profile implant will give the most natural looking result, however they tend to be wider than the moderate profile. All that being said, the increase in width can improve the cleavage appearance in patients who have a wide sternum. Also, in regards to implant size, the best thing is to ask your surgeon and they will most definitely help guide you in the right direction to give you the best result for your body type. Good luck.
Although every patient recovery time is different, I find that on average most patients are able to return to work in approximately 2-3 days. All that being said, that time can be longer depending upon the type of work they are performing. You as a P.E. teacher should be able return to work after a week if you are able to restrict a few of your activities, such as not lifting anything heavier than 10-15 pounds, and minimizing demonstrations of heavy aerobic activities for a few weeks. Other that that, you should be good to go.
When choosing a breast implant size you should take several factors into account. You should think about your desired cup size, but also your surgeon will examine you and perform measurements of your breast diameter. The examination and measurements that are taken will give the doctor an idea of the thickness of your soft tissues, diameter of your breast, and if you have excess skin that will require a lift. Based on the findings, he or she will recommend a few implant sizes that will be appropriate for you. Then you will try on sizers, which will give you a visual of what you will look like with that particular implant. And yes, I agree with you that you do not want to look top heavy. Hope that helps.
