I'm in my late fifties and my face and neck was starting to really show it. I needed a neck and face lift and decided to also have full face laser to improve my skin which was looking loose. The results were amazing! The face and neck lift was a quick recovery, the full face laser longer, but so worth it!
From the first telephone call to Dr. Tarshis' office, to consultations, the surgery, and follow-up visits, the staff at 31 Alvin Street and Dr.Tarshis, have been exemplary - always available, knowledgeable, supportive, caring. Dr. Tarshis is so skilled - I look natural, much younger and even my closest friends and family just think a recent holiday has me looking relaxed and great! My face-lift is a 'work of art' that I enjoy every single day! Lucky me for having found this surgeon.
I had an upper and lower Blepharoplasty done by Dr. Lorne Tarshis in July. I could not be happier. The recovery was fast; I was back to work after little more than two weeks. The pain was minimal. Once fully healed, my face was transformed. I did not realize what a difference this procedure would make. My eye makeup is now more defined and my husband says I now make him look older. Dr. Tarshis and his staff were wonderful throughout. I felt like I was in good hands from the start.
15 years ago I decided I needed some sprucing up so I began some heavy researching of cosmetic surgeons. I wanted a natural looking face-lift. I finally came upon Dr. Lorne Tarshis whose specialty is faces. I decided to also have a forehead and eye lift. I was truly amazed that I felt no pain, needed no pain killers and looked fresh with no pulling of the skin but also no more wrinkles. I recently had the same procedures plus laser under my eyes and around my mouth. Today I ventured out and visited my favorite restaurant. The staff there said I looked yummy. They made my day. My husband thinks I look lovely. I cannot thank Dr. Tarshis enough for his expertise and kindness. You are awesome as are your wonderful staff. C.J.
Early thirties female. 5'8, -/+ 150 lbs. I had a small banana roll beneath my buttocks from lipo I had done many years prior that bugged me. I wanted a touch up and Dr. Tarshis said it'd be easy to fix. What used to bug me a little aesthetically; what he said would be no problem to fix, turned into a nightmare. He had come across glib and non chalant about it, but I didn't listen to my gut and passed it off as confident and experienced. I will forever regret going through with this surgery with him. I had to crop the photos in such a way that I couldn't be identified, I'm still suffering from the repercussions of this procedure to this day, financially and emotionally. I can't go to the beach. Or even wear tight clothes. He admitted no wrong-doing. People should be informed. Look at the photos and tell me this is an enviable result!
In our opinion, and in our practice,we have our patients stop HRT 7to 10 days prior to their facelift. This is done to reduce the chances of a blood clot in the legs while under anaesthesia. We also place our patients on pneumatic compression devices and compression stockings during the surgery for the same reasons.Although vaginal breakthrough bleeding is a possibility with stopping the HRT abruptly ,it is extremely rare.I hope this helps.
Twilight anaesthesia is extremely safe and appropriate for most facial surgery including facelifts. In my opinion it is safer than general anaesthesia as some complications such as blood clots in the legs are considerably reduced with twilight anaesthesia.Having said that ,it is important that a trained individual monitor the anaesthesia and the patient so that the surgeon can concentrate on the surgery. This can either be a certified anaesthetist or certified nurse anaesthetist. For any procedure performed in a free standing surgical facility, the facility should be fully accredited and the patient should be healthy.Ihope this helps.
In my opinion a non-surgical facelift is a misleading marketing term.I think we all understand a facelift as a treatment to rejuvenate the face and neck.Although there are things that we can do to make us look better--Botox,Fillers.Skin Care etc.-- they cannot be compared to the results obtained from a surgical facelift which can literally make us look ten to fifteen years younger.I do hope this helps with something that is often confusing.
The facelift procedure which is essentially a cheek-neck lift is a wonderful procedure to rejuvenate the shape of your face and indeed turn the clock back ten to fifteen years.I am pleased that you are satisfied in this regard. The procedure WILL DO NOTHING for perioral wrinkles (around the mouth). My suggestion would be to treat the lines with a high energy laser(fractional CO2) which should eliminate about sixty to eighty percent of the wrinkles on a permanent basis.GOOD LUCK!
Thank you for your question. In my experience,non-surgical treatments for lipodystrophy rarely meet ones expectations. No matter how appealing non-invasive procedures are, they cannot compare to the reliable predictable results that one can obtain with liposuction in an appropriate candidate.Liposuction is extremely safe the way it is performed today and I am confident you will be satisfied if it is performed by an experienced surgeon.
