Fractional laser resurfacing can safely be done on the chest.  Knowing the appropriate laser settings based on the the particular laser, the patients age and skin type/color are factors that must be considered for the procedure to be safe.  Combining fractional laser, IPL, chemical peels and topical medications may be necessary to give the best results in Chest Rejuvenation.  Please make sure you see an experienced dermatologist or physician who has expertise in lasers.  Good Luck!

A practitioner told me they wouldn't use a fractional laser on the decolltage area because it has a higher risk of keloid scars than other areas. Is this valid?

Laser resurfacing on chest area - is it safe?

This is a great question.  While you can get good results of restoring volume to the face with pretty much any "filler".  You would definitely see great results with Voluma and Lyft for the cheeks and mid face.  The only problem you may have is that being an avid runner, the Hyaluronic acid fillers may not last as long as expected.  For the global facial re-volumization, with long lasting results the best choice is Sculptra.  Patients achieve very natural results.  It is very important that you find a dermatologist or plastic surgeon that is an experienced injector to assure your results are optimal.

I’m looking to restore loss of volume in my face. I plan to start doing regular peels to help with hyperpigmentation and Botox on the glabellar lines but the facial sagging is terrible. I’ve been an avid runner for 20 years now and weight train regularly. Which option (Juvederm, Sculptra, etc) would give me the best outcome? Will my active lifestyle conflict with the outcome of any of these fillers? My current weight is the same as it was in the 2011 picture, yet I look thinner now! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing.  Very sorry to hear about your unfortunate side effect.  This is really a case of less is more.  Injecting too much Botox into the lateral portion of the frontalis muscle or close to the brow can cause lid hooding.  When you experienced the "spock" effect, very small amounts should have been used to correct it.  Now that you have the heavy brow, it is best to be patient and wait for the effects to subside.

I told the injector I had a history of Botox brow drop, so he injected my 11's and high on my forehead only. By 2 days later, I had the "Spock" brows. I was told to wait a full week, and come back. I did, and he injected, what seemed like a lot, into my upper outer brow area. My brows dropped, so did the area below my brow. I now have droopy skin folds hanging down on my upper lid, and and a heavy, hooded eye look. I look older than before. Can this be corrected with more Botox?

11 days post Botox: developed high, "Spock" brows. I went back for more to lower the brows, I've got hooded lids, what do I do?

From the picture you provided, it is difficult to diagnose the lesions.&nbsp; Milia and keratosis are 2 common lesions found on the eyelids that can be easily treated without scarring.&nbsp; It would be best to see a board certified physician for proper diagnosis and if desired, treatment of the lesions.

You have considerable swelling.&nbsp; This will definitely improve over the next&nbsp;day or 2.&nbsp; The majority of swelling is gone in 3 days and by day 5-7 swelling in the lips completely resolves.&nbsp; The most common products injected into the lips are Juvederm and Restylane.&nbsp; It seems that Restylane will cause more swelling in the lips in most,&nbsp;but not all, &nbsp;patients.&nbsp;Also, you mentioned that you had recently had your lips injected by someone else and this was a correction treatment.&nbsp; The fact that the injections were so close together could account for the dramatic swelling reaction.&nbsp;&nbsp;The best thing to do would be contact the injecting physician and seek his/her advise.&nbsp; &nbsp;

I had my lip fillers corrected last night as a previous doctor had left my lips uneven. I had them fixed last night with 1ml over top and bottom. After being in extreme pain over night I've woke up like this. Please tell me this will go down. I'm devastated

Sculptra must be diluted prior to injection, typically several days prior.&nbsp; The amount of saline or sterile water it is diluted with varies from physician and area being treated, but each vial contains the same amount of product.&nbsp; If you were injected with a vial of Sculptra each visit, it was the same amount of product.&nbsp; Some offices will draw up the product outside of the room to save some time during the procedure.&nbsp;

	You are paying a lot for Sculptra so feel&nbsp; free to ask questions.&nbsp; It sounds like you understand about Sculptra and are interested and your physician will be happy that you interested as well.

I had 3 sessions of Sculptra injections (1 vial)) with good results. On my 2nd and 3rd visit, unlike 1st, the doctor didn't open vial in front of me but brought 5 prefilled syringes. I am not saying he diluted Sculptra but I do have small doubts. Is it ok to ask a doctor to open vial and fill syringes in front of me? I don't want to sound like I don't trust him or accusing him but this is a very expensive treatment and I just want to make sure I am getting 100% of what I am paying for Thank you

This is an impossible question to answer.&nbsp; First, the good news is that the scars are going to get better with time.&nbsp; The redness will fade dramatically over several months which is what most patients do not like most about their scars.&nbsp; The bad news is the permanent scars are variable, some may depressed or rolled, others box car type or ice pick type.&nbsp; The type of scars you have and severity dictates which method will help you the most.&nbsp; Waiting several months until you are finished your Accutane treatment is the next step.

I was hoping to get an idea of how severe my acne scars will be after the acne completely goes away. I am on my second month of Accutane. Also will laser be very effective on my type Of scarring or Should I try something else Thanks

There are several reasons for the bruise-like look you descirbe.&nbsp; The simplest way to find out if it is the Juvederm itself that is causing it,&nbsp; is to inject a little hyaluronidase in the area.&nbsp; Very quickly you will know if the product was causing a tyndall effect, the blue discoloration.&nbsp;&nbsp; This is the most likely case since a bruise would likely have resolved in this area within a week or 2.

Straight after injection I bruised up severely. I believe injector hit a vein. Today, i went to see her (a month exactly) and she is now telling me that possibly, I always had this vein but now with the fillers it's more defined! I'm thinking, or actually hoping it's the bruise still healing. What do you think? If it really is a nerve what treatment could I get to make it less noticeable.I actually look worse now then what I did prior to the fillers!

Safety first!!!&nbsp; Always wear protective eye shields, glasses, goggles, &nbsp;etc.&nbsp; during any laser procedure.&nbsp;&nbsp; It makes no sense to take any risk no matter how small.&nbsp;

I have IPL on the sides of my face and I wear black protective glasses for that. but i also have a some hair on my forehead but I have to remove the protective glasses for that because they come in the way but i keep my eyes tightly shut. So can this still cause any damage to my eyes? please reply back and answer my question as i am really worried! Thank you
