I came to Dr.Korpeck for my first augmentation which was saline in 2004. I went from a B to a C. I was very happy with the procedure. I had very minimal scarring. It healed to very faint scars. My breasts looked amazing too, very natural. The only downfall was the rippling on the sides and the size. I eventually had them redone in 2011 to silicone and went up to a DD which is too large. I went back to Dr. Korpeck whom I also had a rhinoplasty with and he gave me a quote of 5,000 to do the swap out. I did not go with him because I guess I felt after having two previous procedures with him that I should of paid the same price that I did the first time. I will get them exchanged to go down to a D soon. As for his facility, it's very nice. It's clean, the staff is polite, it's in a stand alone building, the recovery rooms are comfortable, the wait times are average. I must say one impeccable thing about having a procedure with Dr. Korpeck is that he sends a nurse to you the following day to check on you. This is nice as some surgeons require you to come in and after a surgery like breast augmentation driving in a car and hitting bumps is the last thing you want to do on day 2. The nurses that do home calls are super sweet too! They even called to check on me at various times throughout my recovery too. Such Angels.
I would do this procedure again. I wish it costed less but I would still do it again at this price. I also wish I would of went a bit smaller, if your going to go through that much pain why not do a noticeable change? Wearing a splint on my face for a week caused me anxiety at times as did having to sleep upright but that was only for a week. The black eyes I got were killer too. I took bromalin in advance and used arnica after at the recommendation of my surgeon. The pain tolerance was tolerable too. Would do it again.
After my first child I wanted breast implants to fill up my deflated, nursed, breast. I went to three top rates surgeons (Dr. Korpeck being one of them), two of the surgeons said they could not do my breast implants without a lift (which i wanted to avoid at all cost). I finally went to Dr. Korpeck who was very honest with me and told me how he could do the job without doing a lift. I was not an "easy" implant so I wanted someone who I could completely trust. I was very nervous about my surgery but Dr. Korpeck did an AMAZING JOB! I absolutely love them. They are a perfect size and very natural looking. He is kind, caring and HONEST. Those are three very important things. He will not do a surgery that he does not believe in... you will not walk out of his office looking ridiculous. He is a true artist and has an eye for performing surgery that will best fit your body. He has operated on several of my relatives and we are all extremely happy with our results. He is HIGHLY recommended!!

Good job Dr K Updated on 23 Mar 2014:
So my surgery is scheduled! August 7 at 7:30 am. Post op is coming up soon on 7/22. Wanted to give a little background. I am 5'6 currently 203 pounds and 29 years old. I have 3 children. 6, almost 3, and 13 months. The last two pregnancies I was gestational diabetic and gained over 100 pounds. Both babies were over 10 pounds and were delivered via c section. That's where my problem started (the flap). I delivered my youngest at 270 and quickly dropped to 229 within weeks. I began to notice the more I lost the lower my apron hung. Very depressing. I chose to stay at that weight as it seemed the more I lost the worse I looked. Then came a turning point. I went to an ob check up and my dr told me the only way to remove my flap was with a tummy tuck. She recommended me to lose weight first but that the flap wouldn't go away on its own. So then came my consultations. First started at the "cheap" place. I say that because it was advertised for $4500. The office seemed rushed. The dr wasn't all that impressive. In fact, he didnt even touch me. He looked at me and started telling me what he thought should be done. Didn't hava a nice bedside manner to say the least. The office staff was pressy. It was all about the money. And my quote ended up being $7400.. and didnt include my garments, pain pump, or lab work. I told the patient coordinator I would discuss it with my husband. I never called her back and 2 days later she called me. Ironically the price dropped to $6900 if I planned on paying cash.. Now on to the 2nd-3rd consultations they were both done online. Kind of an awkward way to do it but I submitted my photos and the surgeons reviewed them then had the nurses call with results and quotes. I really liked the information I received from one Dr in particular Dr Anire Okpaku. But his location was just to far for comfort, and his price was pretty good but I just couldnt get the WOW factor without meeting in person. Then one of my old high school friends had lost a lost of weight and went to a surgeon in Boca Raton. Dr. Korpeck. He had already completed her arm lift and she was thrilled. She highly recommended him. On June 24, just 5 days before my 29th birthday. I went in for my consult with Dr. Korpeck. I was immediately greeted as I walked through the door. Filled out my paperwork and met the patient coordinator Jessica. She was pleasant and reviewed my information and talked to me a little about the procedure. After she put me in the exam room 2 lovely nurses came in. We talked about my weight (down to 212 at the time) and my expectations. Both were very pleasant and informative. The one nurse gave me a gown and had me put it on when they left the room. They returned a short time later with the surgeon. Very nice man. Immediately made me feel comfortable. Talked to me about the procedure, what happens during it and such, then got a hold of me. lol he made me feel confident in the fact he could "fix me". He drew on a paper what I could expect. He then talked to me about his surgery center and the way he preforms the surgery. He requires me to stay overnight (which I liked the most, and wasnt offered at any other location I consulted) he uses the pain pump, and sends a nurse to my house post op. I literally felt he was the one! I sat back in with the patient coordinator and went over price and surgery dates. I had a specific date in mind! Dr. Korpeck only performs 1 surgery per day (which I love) and my day was available! It was meant to be. The price was high. But adding the nurse, overnight stay, garments, lab work, and pain pump adds up. Plus he is doing full trunk lipo verse just flank as the other surgeons quoted. My final price was $10000! I wanted time to think about it, and Jessica was great about understanding that. I went home spoke with my husband and called her and paid my deposit to reserve my date. Now the crazy girl has begun.. I am a research junkie! I want to make sure I have everything I need for a perfect recovery. I have my mother in law taking the kids for a complete 2 weeks and will be bringing them home to visit often. I also have taken 2 complete weeks off work and I work a desk job. I have a recliner at home but also plan on getting a "dorm pillow" to help me sleep (I hope). So many questions for those already been here, done this: 1.) Although my surgeon has said 10 days. How long before you could pick up your baby? She weighs 25 pounds and still sleeps in a crib. How long before I can put her in and out of it? 2.) Will I lose pants sizes considering my apron is so large? How many did you lose? Should I plan on recovering in my standard clothes or should I have bigger or smaller? 3.) When did you drive again? Trying to plan all my post op appts and wonder when I can begin to take myself. 4.) Did your surgeon prescribe antibiotics? 5.) How soon before you felt like your results showed? Ill be posting regularly. Only 28 days til surgery! Updated on 25 Jul 2013: Had pre-op on Monday 7/22. Went well. He went over all of my questions. Very thoroughly measured my body. Did my before photos (my least favorite part). Received all my post op care instructions and prescriptions to fill before the surgery. I really liked his nurse Melissa who is quite a character and makes one feel very comfortable. The past few days I have been so anxious. Doesn't help I hate having blood drawn and was not looking forward to my blood work at my pre-op appointment. It wasn't that bad though. Now I am starting to worry about these drains. Nervous about having them in the first place and more nervous about having them removed. My dr prescribed me percocet (pain reliever) and keflex (antibiotics). I'm hoping neither makes me sick to my stomach. My post op instructions seem quite clear. Take it easy. No lifting. Walk immediately. Don't over do it. Take medicine accordingly. Make it to all post op appointments. Measure fluid while drains are in. Pretty basic instructions. I have about 5 tube top style beach cover dresses I plan on wearing. The nurse said it was much easier to step into them and pull them up rather than strapping pants on. Still wondering exactly how I will be pinning these drains up. On the up side.. my surgery cost included an overnight stay in the surgery center and a nurse who comes to my house post op (I think 3 days in a row for 3 hours each day) She is supposed to change my dressings and wash my hair etc. I have gone over the final details with my driver (my sister) and with my MIL for the kids. I have the house in order and plan on spending this weekend just enjoying my last little free time and my family, leaving next weekend for a final clean. Oh yea. I was 199 at pre-op and I was hoping to be under 200 for the surgery! YAY New goal is now 195. Feeling motivated! Updated on 30 Jul 2013: So a few things happening. First off I was referred to this dr by my good friend who has had multiple procedures done by him after gastric bypass. She looks great. She told me the dr prescribed her a medication to relax her to take the night before. Well I didn't get prescribed that. Wondering if I am going to be able to sleep. Next, originally I was supposed to have surgery at 7am and now it's 12. It's supposed to be 5-6 hours and hope I'm not rushed so everyone clocks out in time. Ugh I know I'm just panicking but I was told he did 1 procedure a day now he's fitting in a quick "breast refill" or something. Slightly annoyed but staying positive. Btw did I mention its our 7 year wedding anniversary today?! Had a very nice lunch date with my husband and cooked his fav meal for the family for dinner. He has been such an awesome support for me. Well Friday is my last day of work until August 20. Still feel slightly awkward my coworkers know (super small office), but most of them are very supportive. I dropped off my prescriptions today will pick them up tomorrow. I need to purchase hibicleanse to wash with 3 days prior to and until surgery. Care product wise I have basic large bandages, lots of large 4x4 gauze pads, bandage tape, bacitracin, dial antibacterial soap, stayfree pads (these absorb the most during my c section drainage problem I have had in the past), Tylenol, arnica, gas reliever, stool softener and make you goer lol, and cotton swabs. Hope I'm not missing anything important. I have set out a few dresses for early post op and I need to purchase a few pillows. If I'm missing anything please please remind me lol Sorry I'm all so over the place. It's coming so fast I'm turning into nervous Nelly.. Going to go spend time with my hunny and try to relax on this beautiful anniversary night! Updated on 31 Jul 2013: Today was a productive day. Picked up my prescriptions, purchased my last minute items, and called the nurse. Asked her about some sort of nerve reliever for the night before. She prescribed me an Adavan. I have taken my before photos and measurements. I am uploading my aweful pics so BEWARE! lol Ready for the weekend. Updated on 9 Aug 2013: So what a last few days I have had. Went into surgery at 1030am on Wednesday and was out at 4. Complication free thus far. The dr removed my 4.5 pound apron and 3000cc of lipo which is about 6.6 pounds more. I stayed in the overnight surgery center with a lovely nurse and was released on Thursday morning. Car ride home was over an hour and didn't hurt at all. I was really worried it would. I saw my belly today and although I could see my chacha for the first time in years, it's so swollen and purple looking I wanted to cry (that hurts though). I see a lil something around my sides which he assures is just swelling and positioning. I sure hope so. Today was my first post op visit and they removed my pain pump and changed all my dressings. I was not an ideal patient through that though.. Lol I go back on Monday at 245 to remove at least 1 drain but maybe both since I'm not putting out to much fluid. Looking forward to seeing my results and recovering quickly. Updated on 13 Aug 2013: I forgot to mention I went into surgery at 195. Today on the scale I was 195 lol I knew better than to weigh myself this soon post op but was just curious. My apron was 5 pounds and I had another 6.6 removed through lipo. So it would be nice to see that on the scale. Wanted to mention that day 4 was a turning point for me. Was much easier to get up, eat, pee, and just get thru the day. By today 6 days post op, I'm walking considerably straighter and for longer distances. I can put on and off my stage 2 compression garment by myself now. It's very tight and has to go on my legs first. I stopped taking my pains medication at 4 days post and stick with an Ibuprofen when I wake up and once today when my back was hurting badly. (That seems to be the worst part for me) I had a post op yesterday and had 1 drain removed and the dressings all changed. I go back tomorrow to remove the left drain and redo the dressings again. And Friday is another post op. I like that he sees me so often to make sure the sites are clean and healing properly. Warning for my pic I'm going to post: lol it's graphic. I was so used to not seeing my goodies that I uploaded a pic with it showing without warning. Sorry. Tonight wil be my first night sleeping in the bed. Looking forward to it so goodnight ;) Updated on 16 Aug 2013: 9 days post op and the stitches are out of my belly button. Yayy. Anika my post op care nurse has been awesome. Getting me relaxed and not so nervous. I swear I didn't feel anything, then I was done. Dr Korpeck said I'm healing well and was glad I was getting around a little. I was told to start standing up straight and I'm working on that. Lol kind if a fear ill rip it. Next appt is Friday. I believe the incision stitches come out then.. Yikes! Still swollen and the dr said it would take a few months. I did try on a bathing suit and dress.. Cute! Already notice a dramatic difference. Looking forward to the next few weeks.. Updated on 25 Aug 2013: So I went to post op Friday and my lovely nurse (Anika) was super nice and calm as always. I was a nervous wreck as always. She explained cleaning instructions and some recommendations for a new compression garment. I love how his staff is so personable. Professional, but with a family type of nurturing that one doesn't get everywhere. Apparently my stitches will dissolve in my incision so the great news was there wasn't anything to be removed. Yay! She applied some silicone strips and gave me some scar cream stuff to use. I really like the firm feeling the silicone strips give. The dr said it looked good. Gave me permission to pick up my daughter, and wants to see me back in 10 days. Have not had any pain except occasionally my sides are sore when touched or pulling on my compression garment. Haven't intentionally lost weight just been carefully watching my salt and fat intake. I've dropped to 188. Yay! I started wearing a different garment that's tighter to help with my side swelling. I think the other one is now to small. Went to the salon yesterday to get my nails, pedi and wax and it was a tad more than I could handle. The chair I was in during my nail fill was very uncomfortable but I was trying to not make a scene or be obvious. Lol still think this is the best thing I could have done for myself. I just noticed that it appears my upper thighs seem lifted. Among other things.. Very happy with that!
If using a saline implant, the submuscular position is definitely better becuase there will be less rippling and visibilty under the muscle. Breast volume asymmetry can be corrected with a gel implant as well as a saline. You just have to use a slightly smaller volume implant on the larger side and larger one on the smaller side.
It is still too early after surgery to make a decision if you need a revision. The breasts can heal at different rates and need to give it least 6-8 weeks to see how the implants settle into the new pocket. If after three months they are still different may need to go back and lower the higher implant. There is a chnce you were asymmetrical before surgery as well. 98% of women have asymmetrical breasts. Its best not be impatient, because time is on your side.Have your MD follow the healing process with you.
This most likely is something called Mondors Disease. Not really a "disease" but a superficial phlebitis of the small veins under the skin at the mammary fold. Self limiting condition and resolve with time. Can be treated with motrin and warm moist heat. Best have your surgeon follow its progress.
Usually takes up to 6-7 months for scars to soften after surgery.Scars get better with time, if not have your physcian look at it.
Performing a superior pedicle breast lift with a submuscular implant will provide a nice shape, cleavage and upper pole fullness. This can be done with an anchor type of incision with a short horizantal component in the inframmamary fold. The implant will shift the volume of the newly designed breast more superiorly which will give you better fulness an cleavage. Proper scar management after surgery should help control the thickness an color of the scars.
