Lara Devgan, MD, MPH

I have had fillers (Dr. Devgan's global facial optimization) with Dr. Devgan for years now - she is the ONLY doctor I trust with my face. Dr. Devgan has absolutely impeccable aesthetic tastes and a gift when it comes to understanding facial symmetry as well as beauty. She may not be the cheapest, but I do believe you get what you pay for - and with Dr. Devgan, you're not just paying for the cost of the filler or time itself (as other plastic surgeons and dermatologists can do for cheaper), but you are also paying for her talents and keen aesthetic judgment when it comes to beauty. Fast forward to 3 or 4 years later, after seeing Dr. Devgan for years now for facial fillers and botox, and I finally decide to take the plunge on a revision breast augmentation. I have had anxiety and stress for years over an improperly done prior breast augmentation (my breasts as a result were slightly uneven in height, with great scars also resulting from the prior surgery). There were many complications as a result of this prior surgery, so deciding to conduct a revision breast augmentation was a frightening decision, however it was made much easier due to the trust and confidence I had with Dr. Devgan's enormous skills as a plastic surgeon. It has been 6 weeks post op, and I have to say that the results are astounding. I finally have gorgeous, natural, full breasts I have always wanted. Her scars are nearly invisible, and she also expertly placed my old scars in the under breast fold so it would be less visible. Overall, the results have exceeded expectations and I am so happy. It was a very complicated revision surgery, and Dr. Devgan delivered with results that were precisely what I had hoped and dreamed for. Finally, Dr. Devgan's signature touch and style (be it with non surgical or surgical outcomes) tend to err on the side of the natural, which I think is amazing. She just wants to make you the most beautiful (but natural!) version of yourself. Too many doctors - even well-known ones - go too far and produce unnatural and frankly unappealing results that make people look like they have permanent Instagram filters on their face. Dr. Devgan knows when to stop and tell you enough is enough - and that is why she is the only person I trust with my face and body. She is not cheap, for sure, but you get what you pay for.

After reading some of the negative reviews below, I was nervous but went ahead with my appointment today and I had a great experience. Dr. Devgan was lovely and so was her staff. I could ask questions about anything and I felt so comfortable knowing I would look natural and like a better version of myself. I received filler for the first time and really like my results. No bruising, major swelling, or pain afterward so I went grocery shopping right after this. It was more expensive than I could have received in other places, but it's my face, and I'm not looking for a Groupon on this. I was in the office for about 2 hours, but it is about as long as it takes me to see my regular doctor. I think some of the expectations on price, how fast treatments should be, and how much time Dr. Devgan should be spending with each patient aren't realistic in some of these reviews. I think so many more people are very happy being a patient of Dr. Devgan but aren't writing reviews here, so I'm writing my 1st Dr. review because I had a great experience today!

I just left the office and immediately thought I should write a review while it is fresh in my head. I pored over the reviews before going and a few had me feeling uneasy (although most are great). My best friend is a makeup artist and assured me that I should try Dr Devgan because her reputation in the beauty industry is stellar. I am so glad I listened. I had a really great experience, everything was upfront and as explained beforehand. I received an email ahead of time, I was able to fill out all of that annoying paperwork you do at a doctor's office at home, everything is digital. The email they sent gave me a heads up that I should be prepared to wait 1.5-2 hours once I got there, I appreciated the honesty. This is probably the poshest doctors office I have ever been in. I waited in a patient room with comfy chairs, a phone charger and fully stocked fridge. It also had an ensuite bathroom, making the wait super easy. Once the doctor came in she was immediately warm and likable, exuded professionalism and never tried to upsell me on a single thing. I asked her a few questions regarding some procedures that I was not doing today and she answered with honesty (and without the intent of trying to convince me to have them done). She was honest about what I could expect from my injectables and while I was a wimp about it, she was very gentle. I am eager to see the results once it all sets in a couple of weeks. If the results are as spectacular as the experience, I am happy to have found Dr Devgan. I will update once I see it all settle in. So far, no bruising and it looks pretty good.

I’ve never considered myself a candidate for breast augmentation. Not because I judged people for doing it but because I couldn’t imagine ever needing one myself. I was fortunate enough to have always been happy with my figure and proportions. Over the course of a couple months, I experienced unexpected weight loss of about 30 pounds. My body and skin didn’t bounce back like it would have if I had lost it at a slower pace. My breasts especially bore the brunt of the weight loss. Prior to the weight loss, they were a 34C. After the weight loss, they looked like flat, droopy, deflated bags on my chest. They had the laxity of a woman twice my age (I was 39 when this happened). Like I said before, I never thought I’d be in a place where considering breast augmentation made sense for me. And to be honest, I never would have considered doing this if I didn’t know a surgeon like Dr. Devgan was out there. There is no shortage of plastic surgeons, and unfortunately, the only examples of breast augmentation I’d ever seen before seeing Dr. Devgan’s work did not match my aesthetic of what I thought was conservative, beautiful, feminine, soft, and natural. I’m also picky and decisive, so that narrowed my choices down even more. I had been following Dr. Devgan on Instagram for a couple years because I was interested in her skincare line, not a cosmetic procedure. I did really enjoy looking at her before and afters, though (who doesn’t love a good before and after?). When I started to notice how much my breasts had changed, and how much I didn’t recognize myself anymore, I started to pay closer attention to Dr. Devgan’s surgical work. It was kind of funny that she had kind of literally been under my nose (on my phone) for awhile. I did some research into other surgeons, but their work either didn’t match my conservative taste, or it simply wasn’t as clean and aesthetically pleasing as Dr. Devgan’s. My goal for my breast augmentation was to simply re-balance my figure to what it was before the unexpected weight loss. I really just wanted to restore my body so I felt like myself again. Dr. Devgan was able to do this, and I couldn’t be more grateful to her. Truly. This has meant so much to me because it wasn’t only about aesthetics—it was also about the emotional and psychological connection I had to myself—my identity. I feel incredibly fortunate that I’m lucky enough to have access to and call Dr. Devgan my doctor. Knowing the kind of personal and genuine touch Dr. Devgan has, I wasn’t surprised that her staff was also just as genuinely kind and caring as she is. They made me feel like I was always a priority, whether it was on phone calls, in emails, or in person. Dr. Devgan and everyone I interacted with at her office treated me like I mattered, not someone in an impersonal assembly line. They were always warm, friendly, and patient (I had a lot of questions—haha). I appreciate Dr. Devgan’s approach to beauty. She is judicious, skilled, and capable. Her work is beautiful while still being conservative, soft, and tasteful. Dr. Devgan inspired confidence in me every step of the way. She understood my goals and could articulate them back to me better than I could. Most of all, she has made me “me” again. My number one goal was to look like myself, not a version of myself, and she did exactly that. Thank you, Dr. Devgan, for genuinely caring about me and sharing your talent and warmth with me.

Dr. Devgan did an AMAZING non-surgical nose job for me. I love the results. She listened to what I wanted and did just that. I really couldn't be happier. I can't wait to go back and get a tiny touch up (she said that sometimes you can't do everything all at once and you have to come back). I don't even know where to start... I could not have had a better experience with Dr. Devgan & her entire staff!!! I recently had a breast reduction & lift done with her after years & years of wanting to do it but finding an excuse not to pull the trigger. But as soon as I met Dr. Devgan I knew I was in the right hands & I booked it right away. And the results are UNREAL. I've never had "pretty" breasts & I'm still shocked that they look as good as they do. Dr. Devgan's work is so natural & clean - I was sending photos to my friends only 2 days post surgery because I couldn't believe how good they already looked that early on. I also do facial injections with her & she is an ARTIST. She is very honest about what you need but also conservative in terms of not making you look overdone. I came to Dr. Devgan for a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. I believe that the success of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures depend on who is performing them. Many different people offer injections these days (i.e. dentists, beauty salons, Botox parties). So why choose Dr. Devgan? First, “word of mouth” is the best way to choose a doctor, and I would love to share my amazing experience. This is my first time receiving injectables. Dr. Devgan is compassionate and empathic, and took time to discuss my desires and expectations. Dr. Devgan was honest about the duration of the filler, which allowed me to plan for the future. Dr. Devgan made me recognize that perfection isn’t necessary to achieve my best look. She instantly knows what to do to enhance your natural features and I trust that she will do everything she can to achieve excellence. I love how she combines her creativity, ingenuity, scientific knowledge and technical expertise to make me feel beautiful and safe during my procedure. Dr. Devgan always makes me feel that my satisfaction and overall goals are her top priority. Also, I believe that the result of your procedure is dependent on the product, by which, I have never received bruising or swelling, and I actually went to work right after my procedure. Dr. Devgan is a true role model of a phenomenal plastic surgeon. She continues to impress me and I am forever grateful to her and her staff. I have debated getting this surgery for years and finally after doing a lot of research to find the best doctor in NYC for Labiaplasty I found Dr. Devgan!! I am now 7 weeks post op and could not be more happy! This was a very personal surgery for me and now I feel more confident! My results are tailored to my anatomy and I am very happy with the results!!
