Dr. S has been great to me. She’s very knowledgeable! I’m a newer patient and feel very comfortable getting services from her and her staff. I always recommend her & her office to others. This office is always running specials which is very nice.
I had threading on my forehead, and Restylane Lift in my midface and Restyline Defyne for my chin. I look at least 10 years younger. The doctor is very gifted at getting the result you want. Highly recommend Dr. Shaban
I have been very self-conscious about my developing turkey neck and crepey looking skin. I’ve been looking for ways to tighten the skin and have tried a variety of things such as Botox in the threads of the neck (which actually made it a bit worse), and all kinds of peels, creams etc. I feel like I’m too young- and that is it isn’t severe enough yet- to warrant a neck lift (though that has crossed my mind)! A neck lift will most likely be something I’ll need to do in the future, but hopefully not anytime soon. I’m hoping that ultherapy will tighten the skin and even improve the texture as well, since he neck has become quite crepey in the past year, and I’m still a single & active woman! Updated on 23 May 2018: I’m hoping that ultherapy will tighten the skin on my neck, improving the elasticity & minimizing the burgeoning “turkey waddle”. I feel that I am too young for a neck lift (which is also more invasive and expensive). I really can’t afford the down time or expense of a eco lift at this point in my life, so fingers crossed that ultherapy gives me a bit more time and doesn’t exacerbate the situation. It WAS painful, but not unbearably so. I’ve given birth and I have 3 tattoos... I would equate it with a tattoo in a sensitive area, especially when a nerve is struck. That’s about the most painful part- the sharp bolts of nerve pain. The heat is uncomfortable at times, but again, not unbearable. I used deep, diaphragmatic breathing during the procedure and took the prescribed Xanax & pain killer. Afterwards I was numb and sore, but was able to go about my day with little discomfort. Day 3 I’m swollen and it feels a bit tight, but it isn’t noticeable to the naked eye! Updated on 18 Sep 2018: I’m really hoping I didn’t waste my money... still not seeing much of a difference, if any. Feeling has returned in neck & under chin, though there is some lingering, intermittent numbness & sharp pains under the chin (neither are unbearable).
I would absolutely not use Radiesse near the eyes, but it is great over the cheek bone as long as it is injected deep (on the bone). I would use hydrophobic HA's, like Restylane, RHA2, or Belotero near the eye. Voluma and Radiesse are both excellent choices to treat volume loss in cheeks. In addition, I would use LS ME MD skin care products ( See Me and Notice Me) to improve the texture of the skin to help with firmness and the dark shadows. I would reevaluate in two months after filler and consider threads under the eyes for collagen production.
Hyper-dilute Radiesse is Raddiese which has been diluted with saline. It has the effect of lifting and tightening by producing collagen, but Hyper-dilute Radiesse does not replace volume like Radiesse does. I would use Hyper-dilute Radiesse, then wait six weeks and use PDO threads in the neck. I would reassess patient in six weeks and based on result, may offer more Hyper-dilute Radiesse if needed, waiting another six weeks and reassess and possible use more threads.
Trying a neuromodulator first, and waiting two weeks is the most prudent first step. I would use Botox or Jeuveau 2:1 dilution, 25 units in the glabella, and a few units in the forehead. Then reassess after two weeks. If the static line persists, I would consider either an HA filler, or PDO threads, or microneedling w/ RF. I have had very good results with threads in treating static lines, and it should be less expensive than the other options.
1) Defyne is different from other HA fillers as it is more dynamic and moves with muscles to give you a more natural look. It is very effective for defining chins.2) Defyne is now FDA approved for the chin3) It is not common, but it is certainly possible if it is not placed correctly, or it shifts after placement from talking or chewing too much. I use Defyne frequently and very successfully for the chin/jawline and other lower face.
