I went in for a Botox touch up across my eyes from my lower face lift which causes lines until fully healed .. had no more patience w my right side not healing as fast .. time to freeze .. discussed the lip flip aka lip pop for the lips which is a small amount of Botox injected into the two peaks of top lips and middle of lower lip too to reveal more lip .. I already my permalip implants in my lips just wanted a little more lip to show .. the peaks of upper lip is a sensitive area for me and was a little painful the lower lip is not as sensitive but not as bad as upper .. upper and lower are a little sore but doable .. should see results in a week .. my pic is right after my appt .. I will post a new pic when my lips flip or pop lol Updated on 3 Mar 2021: I developed a bruise on the right peel side .. tenderness subsiding .. my first pic is cloudy which I don’t understand because I cleaned my camera lenses on my phone so I wanted to provide a second pic that’s clear .. this is later in the evening and you see the bruise that developed Updated on 19 Mar 2021: I’m not sure .. i guess it will depend on my mood if I want to spend the xtra or not ..its a little different .. I didn’t expect a huge difference .. I say try it .. it’s not that expensive so why not
I’ve tried several other peels... this one burned and felt like my face was on fire but is my go-to peel now. I tend to get peels as maintenance to keep my skin healthy to avoid do any deeper peels or lasers. I do use the skin ceuticals line, serum, lipid moisturizer, brighten serum, hydrating b oil serum too and wear every day the colorscience glow sunscreen. Updated on 5 Dec 2020: I’m getting my 2 treatment (I get a series of 3) it will be about 3 months :( before I get my 3rd treatment or until my P.S. doctor gives me the ok due to my lower face and neck lift surgery scheduled on Jan 19, 2021 unless I can get it first week of January and he gives me ok Updated on 10 Dec 2020: Showed up to my appt and was told they were out and the new shipment has yet to arrive .. will call when they get in ..so I had the emscuplt schedule the same time and ended up just doing that and no peel :( since I already drove all the way out Updated on 23 Dec 2020: They finally got their order in the office this past week and was able to get my second peel today 12/23/20 .. I have one more but won’t get it done until after my lower face and neck lift and healed up Updated on 23 Dec 2020: Once Debbie washed my face she applied the peel application .. I was more distracted this go around and not so focused on the burning sensation on my face .. as you can tell in my pic just red I usually start peeling by the 3 rd later in the day Updated on 23 Dec 2020: Right after my peel was done .. my face is just red .. still burns but if your distracted and not focus on the burning sensation it’s not that bad unlike my first peel of this series (will be a total of 3) my 3rd one most likely done at the first of March if given the ok through my PS Updated on 29 Dec 2020: I’ve had my second peel ... I’m 6 days out I’m not peeling as much the second go around which I figure I would peel the same amount .. little baffled .. wondering if it’s normal to peel less .. I had to wait over a month to get my second due to shipment delay to the office and almost wondering when I get the 3rd one if I won’t peel at all or very little Updated on 11 Feb 2021: My new pic in pink shirt up close is the 19th day out .. my puckering- lines across my left eye finally the skin has smoothed out and settled and lines from puckering have disappeared but my right side ( the eye I hit on my end table from passing out first night after my surgery when I was home) puckering is gone skin smoothed out but lines which are 2 still noticeable but keep on improving and will eventually be Completely gone .. my scarring continues to improve w my regime of silicone gel and silicone strips at night ..
I have never had such time and care taken over injectables than I had with Dr Welch! I was SO satisfied with the entire experience! Will become a regular.:) He was so careful I didn’t even bruise. And he listened very carefully to what exactly I wanted.
Everyone has always been very nice, polite and professional at dr Welch's office. Procedure was not painless but it was tolerable. The pain was the shots to numb you up after that it almost painless I will add more pictures. Updated on 18 Aug 2018: Okay let me explain it to you I am not the best of patient I am terrified of needles but I am still trying to fight the aging process. I am 53 and just needed to be refreshed. jawline was my main concern. This was not my first time at dr. Welch's office I have gotten Botox and fillers before. They are very patient and professional at all times. They make sure you are very comfortable and they keep you informed on what they are doing. I would say this is not a pain free treatment the main reason the numbing process. but, after that it is almost pain free. I am 4 days in and swelling is slowly going down. Updated on 24 Aug 2018: First day putting some makeup on. 10th days in have some bumps under skin and still tender in spots. My swelling and bruising is completely gone. I will Post more pictures at the 2 month mark. Keeping my fingers crossed. Updated on 8 Oct 2018: Not sure if I see any change maybe a little bit . I will let y'all decide if there's any. I still have a few sore spots on my neck and I can see little bumps under the skin on my neck, fingers crossed that goes away . I will post more pictures in about three more months
I have read over a lot of info on Coolsculpting & decided to give it a try! I am 33 yrs old with one teenage child. I weigh 117 lbs. I lift weights, bike ride, & eat healthy. However, I have struggled over the last few yrs with a little extra around my tummy(especially lower). I went in for my procedure this morning around 9:30. The overall experience was nice! First, I was laid in a very comfortable chair while the tech attached the Coolsculpting suction machine to my belly. At first I felt some pressure, then a cold feeling on my belly, but after about 8 to 10 minutes, the pressure and cold subsided. Over the next 50 minutes, I simply relaxed. After an hour, the device was removed from my belly and the tech massaged my belly...that was it! It's 2:30 now & I have just slight swelling and some redness left, but other than that, I am fine! I will post pictures later of before and during the procedure. Also, I will return weekly with after photos. Hoping for amazing results!! Updated on 9 Apr 2013: Today is day 11 after my procedure. I have had very minimal pain since the procedure and have maintained all of my daily activities including biking and lifting weights. The swelling is minimal at this point, but I have a little bit of bruising left. I'm posting a pic of day 8 after the procedure...will keep you posted! Updated on 7 May 2013: Ok, so it's been 5 & 1/2 weeks since my procedure on my lower abdomen. I have stayed on the same routine and diet that I was on before coolsculpting and I can honestly say that the procedure is already worth the money! I'm beginning to see and feel definite results! My abdomen is flatter and much tighter...I can't wait for the full results in a few months from now!! I will have more pics later... Updated on 5 Jun 2013: I'm a 91/2 weeks post procedure and I am more impressed with every week that goes by! I have posted pics that I took this morning. I have maintained my same exercise regiment and diet that I maintained before the procedure...I will report back in a month with more pics! Updated on 5 Jun 2013: Updated on 6 Jun 2013: Updated on 6 Jul 2013: It's been 3 months post Coolsculpting & I feel great! My yummy is flatter & my clothes fit better! I have stayed with my normal diet & exercise regime. Was worth the $500!
My skin has never felt and looked so beautiful ! Thank you
It was very uncomfortable. I received numbing cream, 4 dental blocks and shots around my eyes. The worst part was around the outside of my face. A few times I thought I'd come out of the chair, but I figure I gave birth to a child so I can endure just about anything for the 20 minutes it took to obliterate the skin on my face. Oh, the things we go through to look good. I had mine done for some pretty intense melasma that I have been dealing with for 7 or 8 years and mild acne scarring. I am knocking on 40's door really hard and am ready to start worrying about wrinkles like the rest of my friends. I haven't been able to even think about fine lines and crow's feet. When your skin looks bad all over, a few wrinkles are no big deal. I am on day 5 now and am extremely optimistic. I have been reading your stories every day for weeks and thought maybe it's my turn to encourage someone else. Yesterday was horrible and then the most beautiful thing happened when I washed last night...my old skin started rolling off. I could probably get more off if I tried, but I am following Dr's orders to a "T". The skin underneath is very red, but extremely smooth. I can't tell how much the scarring will be reduced, but I know the melasma is gone for now and that is enough for me...anything else is just a bonus. I may never go outside again and will follow a strict sunscreen policy. Maybe the Obagi will work for me now. A word of caution, this procedure is really hard on your self esteem. Since day 2, I have been thinking, "what have I done...was my skin really that bad?" Although the past 4 days have been kind of rough, I am sure the payoff will be worth it. Updated on 14 Jun 2009: It's been 9 days and I am thrilled. I am excited to see how much it will help with the scarring since I have to wait a few months for that answer. I am still a little red and I still have some flaking, but nothing I can't handle. The pic I took today is makeup free, except for some lip gloss. My husband is amazed by the transformation. This procedure is like going from a caterpillar to a butterfly...kinda gross but totally worth the metamorphosis. I definately stand by my recommendation. I'd say if you have real skin issues go for it, follow your doctor's advice implicitly and be patient.
I had my Active FX Co2 fractional laser done on Thursday, today is Saturday.. First off I was totally unprepared, I had read all kinds of articles on the internet...but when I was told by the tech at the dermatologists offce that I needed a dental block as well as the ointment I was nervous...I told him I had read "minimal" discomfort..and why did I need a dental block...he said he had it done without anything at all and nearly passed out from the pain...That scared the wotsit out of me...I almost got off the chair and ran off..It wasnt what I had been reading.. I wasnt sure what to do, but I knew that if I didnt go through with it after finally getting to this point, I would be disappointed with myself.. I had to think about it though...and my friend helped me decide...she wanted to see how I fared before she undertook the procedure..lol. I asked for valium 10 mg and that helped calm me down ..I also didnt realise there were two kinds, one is a one time deal and the other needs to be done over three treatments, one a month...I didnt want that one. I have to say the dental block didnt bother me at all, didnt even feel it...and the laser over the cheeks and mouth area werent felt..but around the side of the face and the upper eyelids especially under the brows were pretty painful...I gripped my friends hand tight and the tech too...(I have long nails...and they felt it)...I thought it was a lot more than "minimal" discomfort so the information isnt true out there...The tech said he was going to be honest, and the doctor said the same, it hurts. However it is pretty quick... Well right after the procedure I had little blood pin points..and my face was very hot and uncomfortable, but not painful...they put vaseline on my face and I had my instruction sheet..I forgot to get the Aquaphor and Topix light recovery complex in my hurry to get home..I wonder if that will be a bad decision... Anyway I didnt really need the pain med, the ibuprofin was good enough, but I took one to sleep I had no problem sleeping at all...my face was purply red and slightly swollen, I actually liked the swollen effect, it filled in my under eye hollows..lol.. I did put a cold face cloth on my skin and the vaseline.. Today Saturday, I guess day three, I feel fine...it feels a little tight and slightly itchy and some of the skin is peeling off...I can see pink skin underneath and I am excited to see how it will be after all the dead skin is gone..My big peeve that I wanted to improve was old acne scars on one side of my cheek near my mouth, and very dry crinkly under eyes for some reason...he did my eye area so I am hoping for a great improvement. One of the reasons you dont see many before and after pics is just people want their privacy..Most poeple dont want everyone to know their personal business..especially when it comes to cosmetic procedures.. I have to say it was a strange experience, but one I would do again as far as today goes..However i havent seen the end results yet.. My skin is light olive,so I am hoping I dont get hyperpigmentation. I am going to say overall satisfaction is very good...but I cant say for sure until I see the end results... Watch this space...
I got this amazing gift that was a nightmare.... because it was charity I got less than wAnted treatment.... I can o only equal this to below Medicaid.... they possibly caused me to have two eye infections....and they didn't call me back in a reasonable time frame...... ( and inadequately left me with severe pain. ) my pics show my face and I'm not a drug seeker...... they leave peeps in the cold...... go to the Er? I have permanent scarring in my eyes !!!!
"Burn" marks from IPL are not uncommon. They usually result from treating skin that is too tan, or recently exposed to the sun. The "burn" mark is sometimes called waffling, because of the uneven appearance. It will absolutely resolve on its own, without further treatment. It is rare for it to scar, unless it is very severe. Sometimes a second low level IPL treatment will help even it out and resolve it faster. Sun protection is extremely important during the healing process.
There really has been a paradigm shift in the age of Botox patients. It uses to be people turned 50 and started thinking about Botox. While certainly helpful, a strong case can be made to start Botox earlier. Botox will not erase lines that are present when the face is in a relaxed position ie with no muscle movement. Many patients have the "elevens" or horizontal forehead lines "etched" in their skin by age 50. If you start Botox at 20, those lines never get a chance to start, and will not be present at 50. An analogy might be instead of trying to lose 30 pounds, never gain the weight in the first place. Starting Botox early is very reasonable, and will not make you look old later on.
